I love my job. For me, it’s kind of two-fold. One amazing part of the job is knowing that you are part of a couple’s most memorable day of their life—and assuming it goes well, they will remember you for it for the rest of their life. The other part is that I get to run a business and listen to music—two of my deepest passions. So running a DJ company mashes it all together in one great package.

When creating my business plan for Stumptown DJs, I made sure that everything we did as a company solved an existing problem in our industry. This helped us find the perfect niche in the Portland DJ market. Stumptown DJs is an affordable, professional and talented DJ service that’s simple, flexible and fun for everyone. And that sets us apart from others in our field.

This is more of a DIY DJ Package in terms of planning. On the day of, it's entirely different. You'll get access to our custom online timeline to organize your wedding day & access to our Spotify profile to help you create your very own playlists. No charge for setup or teardown, No Travel Fee for Portland Metro Area, DJ will MC entire event. DJ will bring 2 handheld microphones (1 wired, 1 wireless) If we’re providing sound for your ceremony, 1 lapel microphone included at no additional charge.

What’s included
  • DJ has at least 1 year of wedding experience.
  • Majority of interaction with Stumptown DJs admin
  • Two scheduled phone calls
  • First setup INCLUDED in package
  • (Additional setups are $250 each)
  • Additional time is $225 per hour

Tier 1+ (4 hours)

    Wedding to Remember

    We had an amazing experience with Stumptown DJs for our wedding! The entire team was fantastic to work with and made communication easy every step of the way. DJ Suzanne brought incredible energy to the celebration, kept the dance floor moving, and helped make the evening so much fun. The photo booth was also a huge hit with our guests and absolutely worth adding. We couldn’t be happier with our experience and highly recommend Stumptown DJs!

    Stumptown Delivers

    We couldn't have asked for a better DJ than Gianni from Stumptown DJs. From our first conversation, he made the planning process easy and fun, always ready to collaborate on our vision for the day. During cocktail hour, he transformed the space into a club atmosphere with his own spin on each track, getting everyone on the dance floor in the middle of the afternoon. What really stood out was how he bridged our two families by delivering announcements in both English and Spanish, making sure my wife's family felt included and welcomed. He brought such a positive energy to the entire event and even hosted a game for our guests with clear, easy-to-follow instructions that had everyone participating.     Wedding DJ

    Dj Walker was amazing to work with! The whole process from booking, to the wedding day was very easy. Admin were very fast to respond and had a lot of good information. DJ Walker catered to all of our wants and communicated great with our other vendors as well. Overall we are very please and would highly recommend to anyone needing a DJ!

We service mostly weddings and as company we believe in and welcome marriage equality for all. We also do a fair amount corporate events, holiday parties, birthday parties, proms, and bar/bat mitzvahs. We are also up to DJing rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, christenings, debutante balls, engagement parties, graduations, memorials, quinceañeras, sweet 16 parties and more.
Prices vary based on the DJ’s years in the industry & amount of pre-event interaction you desire from them. See our website for more info.
All weddings and Bar/Bat Mitzvahs have a five-hour minimum.
We have twelve amazing and talented DJs to choose from. (See Our DJs page for more info.) We also have, the Owner, Matt Kurowski and our Administrative Assistant, Serafina Scurria.
We accept cash, check, Venmo, Paypal, Venmo, AMEX, Discover, MasterCard and Visa.
Yes, we have $2 million in general liability insurance ($1 million per occurrence) through Fireman's Fund Insurance Company.
Our usual attire for the guys is a shirt, tie, sport coat, dress pants and dress shoes. Our ladies will usually wear a nice blouse and dress pants as well. We will, however, accommodate any reasonable request for attire. Stumptown DJs do not wear tuxedos, it's just not our style. Plus, the spotlight should be on you, not us.
We don't specialize in any specific type of event other than weddings, however, we have done quite a few bat/bar mitzvahs. We do have DJ Omar, DJ Tatiana & DJ Toni (speaks Russian too) they are bi-lingual, so they all can translate from English to Spanish for almost any event. Plus Omar & Tatiana, Toni and Samir really know their Latin music,  so they can keep your dance floor "hot & spicy".
