Mixology was started in 2017 when owner, Roman Brown, saw a need for more entertaining and energetic wedding DJ's in the Carolinas after moving from New York. Their goal is to help make your wedding night as special and fun as you'd imagined it would be.

Most couples get married in their 20's-30's yet most wedding DJ's are much older than that. Our aim was to gather a group of young, talented and energetic DJ's who would be a better match all around for most couples getting married. People usually hire us because we actually mix music and provide a fun, club-like wedding experience while still keeping the professionalism needed to make the night run smoothly.

BEST DJ EVER!! Our entire experience with Mixology was amazing! They were super communicative so we didn’t have to repeatedly reach out to get a response from them which I really appreciated. Planning: They give you an app to use in which you can answer questions about your timeline and even import songs directly from Spotify or find on YouTube. It was super user friendly! Our assigned DJ, Angel reached out to use for a quick planning call a couple weeks before our wedding. He was prepared, super friendly and excited about our wedding. We ended the call being super thrilled to have an energetic DJ and felt very confident. Wedding Day: DJ ANGEL KILLED IT!! I’m Hispanic but my husband is white so I wanted all announcements in Spanish and English plus lots of Spanish music. He blended everything so well and picked the funnest songs! Our guests were raving about him and my sister who is getting married also booked him as a result. We had added a custom monogram light display plus the dance on a cloud feature and WOW! IT WAS BEAUTIFUL! Worth every penny! I did tons of research beforehand and even listened to mixtapes before booking a DJ. Nothing is worse than hearing a DJ with an awful transition or lame songs but this was not the case. I had zero issues with Mixology and will always HIGHLY RECOMMEND them!

Mixology was the perfect wedding band for our special day. Their communication style was easy and fast, which made the whole experience enjoyable and stress-free. The band was professional, attentive, and truly wonderful to work with. They played a great mix of songs that got all our guests up and dancing all night long. Mixology made our wedding celebration truly unforgettable with their fantastic musical talent and wonderful stage presence. We highly recommend them to any couple looking for a band that will make their wedding day perfect.

Roman DJ'ed our party and did an excellent job. The planning was easy with his portal and app that allowed us to add music and preferences for each phase of the wedding. We felt confident that Roman would deliver what was promised and he did! The music was modern and fun and had the dance floor packed the ENTIRE dancing portion of the reception (2.5 hours). What more could you ask for? If you're looking for a modern club-style DJ to get the dance floor moving, Mixology is a rock solid choice.

Mixology was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From the very first call, their communication style was clear, easy friendly, and the app they used made planning a breeze. The quality of Roman's work and value they provided was simply fantastic - our guests are still raving about the amazing playlist they curated that kept the dance floor packed all night long. They played a perfect mix of all our music interests, including my husband's love of metal, without ever killing the vibe. Mixology truly made our special day indescribable, and we cannot recommend them highly enough.
