Eventfull catered my wedding of about 150 guests. Every single person commented on how delicious the food was, how wonderful the service was and the level of care shown. My husband and I had a server dedicated to just us during the reception and she was amazing she checked in on us throughout the dinner service and made sure we were fed, hydrated, and always had fresh drinks. We had a guest with severe allergies and they made sure to have the table’s server speak with him directly to ensure that he was aware of all the ingredients in his dish. I hired Chef Ellen for a dinner party that I was hosting for 20 people, and she absolutely EXCEEDED my expectations. From our first call about planning the event, to the event itself, Chef Ellen was fantastic. She has such an impressive rolodex of appetizers and meals she can prepare, and she worked with me to customize a perfect menu for the evening. We chose 5 hors d'oeuvres, and she surprised me on the night with two additional ones on top of the five we'd chosen! Every single appetizer was delicious. From there, we did a sit down dinner that included a soup (amazing butternut squash), salad (the best salad my guests have ever had - who knew a salad could be that life changing!), and then guests had a choice of filet mignon or arctic char for their main course. Both main courses were so thoughtfully prepared, perfectly cooked, and the presentation for everything was stunning. On top of that, there was a mini pizza delivery crisis for my 5 and 7 year old nephews who were over, and Chef Ellen graciously offered to make pasta for them -- all while preparing a 20-person dinner. What more could you ask for?! After dinner, she also surprised me with mini passed desserts :) Chef Ellen also had brought a server with her, who was professional, charismatic and on top of everything to ensure the night went smoothly. To sum it up, Chef Ellen helped make the night so special, and I was thrilled with all of her hard work. If you're looking for delicious food, beautiful presentation, great service, and a hell of a personality, don't hesitate to book Chef Ellen. I am so glad I found her and am already looking forward to having her back for another event!

      I have worked with Alex at AD Catering for multiple big events. Both as a photographer and florist myself, I am extremely visual and specific about how things are presented and AD blows it out of the water. While looks are important, for the actual product (food and delivery) to be such high quality is very rare and they always deliver. Alex has amazing taste and styling skills when it comes to design details. She is extremely professional to work with and her team is super friendly and reliable. Not to mention the personal touches of going shopping with us at halal specialty stores in Brooklyn, accommodating allergies, and catering to cultural sensitivities around serving alcohol. Further, the staff was professional and really did an excellent job implementing our vision in terms of decor, table settings, and overall vibe of the event. Our day of coordinator really was a lifesaver as well (shoutout to Ali!). Planning a wedding could be a stressful experience, especially during a pandemic, but Jill made us feel special and at ease the entire time. We knew from the moment we did our tasting with Jill in the comfort of her own backyard (socially distanced because of COVID) that she was the perfect fit and could not be happier with our experience.         Working with Purslane, and especially with Michaela and Justin, was a highlight of our wedding planning, and we feel incredibly lucky to have had such excellent partners in producing our event. The staff, especially Michaela and Justin, are responsive, friendly, accommodating, and professional; the space is gorgeous and beautifully maintained and operated; the food and drink were bountiful and delicious, and the service rivaled any of New York's fine restaurants. Best of all, the process of collaborating to make our wedding happen was easy and fun, and Michaela and Justin made us, the nervous engaged couple with a million things to manage, very confident that our day would not just go as planned, but would be a beautiful success. And indeed it was! Of all the people we worked with. Michaela and Justin deserve special mention. They are excellent communicators, responsive to the million questions and people that wedding planning entails. They are proactive collaborators, laying out a clear process and schedule not just for the day, but for the process of working to plan it. They provided useful, detailed documentation at every step of the way, including a very helpful list of recommended vendors. Every meeting with them was fun and friendly, but also productive, punctual and a good use of time. And of course, the food and wine tastings were delicious. Michaela and Justin were so helpful in giving us a sense of how the venue would perform in a situation we wouldn't get to experience until the day itself. They guided us expertly, making shrewd suggestions we might not have considered ("Since you have an open bar, we recommend choosing a heavier vegetarian entree.") My wife and I had a unique vision for our event, and these two not only assured us that it was possible, they worked with the park to accommodate myriad details, even down to the selection of lightbulbs. It's no exaggeration to say that without their help, the event would not have had the specific atmosphere we imagined, nor would it have been the roaring success that it was. All the confidence they inspired along the way paid off on the day, when Michaela, Justin, and their staff were a machine. The service was prompt, helpful, and invisible; the food was great, not losing too much in the translation from tasting to event; the wedding ran perfectly smoothly, with Purslane on top of the schedule, keeping the momentum of the night alive as they moved tables, served each course, operated the bars, and so on with perfect cadence. We are so, so grateful to Purslane for making our wedding a true dream come to life. Our only regret is not responding sooner to their lovely post-wedding thank you note, and for taking so long to write this review!
