I grew up in Omaha, Nebraska surrounded by weddings and events. My family owns an event venue there still. I took a detour and played professional golf for a number of years before A. Cakes was born in 2021. It was only fitting that I come full circle and work back in the wedding industry where my heart truly lies. I am in love with the process of learning, practicing and executing new and fun techniques on my clients’ cakes. More than that, creating a cake for someone’s special day gives me the most warm feeling. It’s truly why I do what I do.

Hello, I'm Jackie! I have loved baking and pastry my whole life! I grew up spending hours in my play kitchen dreaming of a life creating actual food for others. After 12 years in the industry, graduating from The Culinary Institute of America, and competing (and winning!) Sugar Rush on Netflix I finally decided to create Pink Petunia Baking Co. and share my passion with others! Nothing makes me happier than creating desserts for special events (or even just a regular Wednesday!) and celebrating every moment with others through sugar. Pastry Chef LikLing Khoo started baking at a young age spending time baking with her mom. Trained at California Culinary Academy, she also worked at the famed Tartine Bakery in San Francisco upon graduation in the 2000's. LikLing spent over 10 years working at different resorts, restaurants and bakeries in Vermont and New York honing her skills in all areas of baking and pastry arts. She owned and operated Baker's Dream in New York offering various baked goods and desserts.
