Opening Brooklyn Girl Bakery was the culmination of years working as a pastry chef and cake decorator in the Philly suburbs. As someone who loved all things wedding related, I decided to venture out on my own so I could focus all my energy making beautiful and delcious cakes.

As a one-woman operation, I will be the only person to take you through every step of the wedding cake process- from the intitial tasting and consultation through to the baking and decoration of your cake. I also limit the number of cakes I take per weekend to insure that I can devote the attention needed to every detail. While I do have an extra delivery person available for busy weekends, I am likely to be the person delivering your cake, as well. This model allows me to develop a much more personal relationship with my clients than you may find at larger-scale bakeries.

    My husband and I got our wedding cake from Peri and we loved our cake! Peri was so easy to work with and so accommodating, even though I personally am incredibly picky!!!! I loved the process she had for having us taste test options - my husband picked up a bunch of cupcakes and frosting samples from Peri, and we were able to try them at home. We were able to mix and match cakes and frostings to choose exactly what we wanted. The cake itself was delicious and the decoration was beautiful.

    Brooklyn Girl Bakery was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding! Their communication style was incredibly informative and kind throughout the entire process. The quality of their work and value was insanely amazing - the three tiers of cake we ordered were absolutely delicious, and I've never liked baked goods my whole life but holy moly, I may never recover from how amazing it was! The team at Brooklyn Girl Bakery truly went above and beyond to ensure our wedding cake was perfection. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

    Working with Brooklyn Girl Bakery was an absolute delight. Peri was quick to respond to our inquiries, friendly, and very professional in her communication.     We had a woodsy/botanical theme and wanted a birch tree look, but neither of us like fondant. Peri achieved the birch tree look perfectly with buttercream. The top tier was lemon (a nod to our original wedding cake) and the other two were marble and chocolate chip with espresso ganache. Each tier was delicious! Peri was great to work with and captured our vision beautifully. We couldn’t have been happier!
