I am a small, one woman-operated home bakery that specializes in custom buttercream cakes and macarons for birthdays, engagement parties, and small weddings. I began as a cake artist in 2020 and have fallen in love with creating realistic buttercream flowers and piping vintage-style Lambeth cakes.

I'm all about CUSTOM cakes. I don't have a menu that is set in stone, but rather enjoy having a conversation with my clients about the flavors and design elements that they really love and want to see in their cake! In the end the cake is something that we have created together, from the flavors to the flowers!

    Kaly was an absolute dream to work with!! Her desserts were incredible, so much so that guests from France commented on how amazing and authentic the macarons were! The attention to detail, design, and keeping to our budget made our wedding planning so smooth. Her custom cupcakes are must-haves and remained moist and perfect throughout the entire night (and breakfast the next day!). We can’t say enough good words about Kaly’s Cakes and Bakes!!

    Although I did not book Kaly truly only because of budget reasons, I was so blown away by her responsiveness, professionalism, and communication that I had to leave a review. Kaly is by far one of the best vendors we have had the pleasure of working with. She was unwaveringly dedicated to us and our cake. We had so many questions and she answered them all. She provided countless ideas, alternatives, recommendations—anything to make our vision work for us. She's flexible, reliable, patient, and just so lovely. It's clear she is super passionate about her craft and genuinely cares about her clients. If you even have the tiniest bit of interest in Kaly, I highly suggest starting the conversation! She is so worth it.

    One of the best men said that this was the best cake (not just wedding cake) that he'd ever had. Working with Kaly was very smooth - she asked questions about the intended design, put together a quote for us, and handled the delivery and setup day-of with the event staff. The design came out better than I could have imagined! We did a small chocolate cake with buttercream pine boughs, pine cones, and pink laurel flowers, and everyone loved how the pink ombré worked with the pine and laurel colors. We would highly recommend Kaly's Cakes and Bakes to any couple looking for a custom cake design!

    I loved working with Kaly! I wanted a unique rainbow themed cake and fun treat/dessert buffet and Kaly nailed it! Everything was delicious and I loved that it was homemade with care and love. We had chocolate chip cookies, macadamia white chip cookies; 2 cake pops and Rice Krispies treats. Kaly even made a couple of my favorite Canadian treats (Empire cookies and Nanaimo bars) even though she never made them before. It was all delicious and fit the casual & fun vibe of our wedding. Nobody was disappointed— well, except for me because there weren’t enough leftovers for me to take home! I highly recommend Kaly for your wedding baking!
