Sage Cakery is a bake shop and cafe located in Urbana, MD. We are honored to be a part of your celebration! We bake entirely from scratch using top quality ingredients. Often organic, local, and always non-gmo, we never use premade mixes or preservatives. Also offering a variety gluten free and plant based options!

Our use of organic flours, fresh and local ingredients , and a talented, award-winning staff set us apart from your average, run of the mill bakery. We offer all of the classics, as well as unique flavor combinations that you won't find anywhere else!

Absolute perfection from start to finish!
We used Sage Cakery for our wedding cake and dessert table, and we could not be happier with how everything turned out! From our very first planning steps and tasting, the team made the entire process incredibly smooth, organized, and stress-free. Not only did the cake and desserts look absolutely beautiful, but they tasted even better. Our guests have not stopped raving about how delicious everything was—people are still bringing up the dessert table weeks later! We loved working with them and are so grateful for how easy and seamless they made the entire experience. We are already excited to continue visiting their bakery for treats and celebrations for many years to come. Definitely Recommend!
Our cake from Sage Cakery was amazing and was such a hit with our guests! It was delicious, held up really nicely throughout our reception and cocktail hour, and was exactly what I imagined. Definitely recommend!

Delicious Desserts
Working with Sage Cakery was such a pleasure from start to finish. Faith, the wedding coordinator, was responsive and thoughtful throughout the planning process, making sure every detail of our vision came to life. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the dessert spread, especially the red velvet and chocolate peanut butter cupcakes, which disappeared almost immediately. The Madagascar vanilla raspberry-filled cake we chose was absolutely incredible and tasted even better than it looked. The presentation was elegant and polished, exactly what we wanted for our big day. We felt so taken care of by Sage Cakery and would recommend them to any couple looking for desserts that are both stunning and delicious.

The Best Wedding Cake
If you need a wedding cake, look no further than Sage Cakery. Faith made the whole process easy from start to finish. The booking experience was straightforward, and she set us up with a tasting so we could actually work through the flavors before committing. There were no bad options so that was a great problem to have! We ended up going with a few different cakes: Vanilla with Raspberry compote, Lemon with Blueberry compote, and an Opera Torte. Our guests loved the cake just as much as we did, and while every flavor was amazing alone, it was so nice having three options so there was something for everyone. Sage Cakery absolutely delivered on our day, and we're already planning to go back just to try more flavors (the seasonal options look so good). Faith, thank you for making this such a fun and easy part of the planning process — and thank you Sage Cakery team for baking something we're still thinking about!
