I have been a professional wedding photographer for 8+ seasons and captured hundreds of weddings from the Rocky Mountains to the West Coast. I am both a storyteller and historian with my camera in hand. I love to incorporate the amazing landscapes with rich colors and natural light. My focus is on my couples feeling comfortable in front of the camera. I like to give some direction and allow for real moments to happen rather than anything being forced. My work has been featured everywhere from ABC (The Bachelor franchise), Green Wedding Shoes, Oregon Wedding Day, BRIDES.

We could not have loved working with Ashleigh any more! From the second we met over zoom to the delivery of our album she’s been amazing. She truly made the wedding day such a joy for us with her attitude, pace of work, and just fun demeanor. We so appreciated the way she captured everything we were looking for without taking away from our time with our people—our families and our wedding party loved her just as much. The finished product is absolutely fabulous and the turn around time was so appreciated, we couldn’t be happier. Ashleigh has a way of perfectly mixing the beauty of any location and the vibe of the couple to make you feel like a million bucks on your big day!

Sam Starns Adventure Elopements
Rating: 5.0 (2 reviews)
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $7,000
  • Serves Merlin, OR

I’m Sam, a TEDx speaker, author, native Oregonian, and adventure elopement expert. And I regret my wedding. Oooof, right? I cried on my wedding day. They weren’t happy tears, either. Let me tell you my story. I had a day that wasn’t really about the connection I had with my husband. It wasn’t about who we were as people and about the things we loved. It wasn’t “us”. Imagine having an adventure elopement day that includes whatever floats your boat. Whether it’s adrenaline-packed, laughter-filled, chill vibes, or all of the above. Then add in a kickass connection between you & your partner that’s enabled by dedicating that day TO YOU.

Awarded Best of Zola
Let’s start off with the fact that the whole week we were in Alaska felt like a blur, because it was truly more awe-inspiring than anything we could’ve imagined, making it SO hard to go back to reality after this fantasy adventure that Sam helped us cook up. There were helicopters, tons of different sights, glaciers, and MOOSE! One thing we loved about working with Sam was that it never really felt like we took posed photos; there were prompts and directions, but it really was genuine, she captured us just being weirdly us. Jeff complained about getting his photos taken in the months leading up to our elopement, but the experience was way better than expected (he grew up despising cameras) and all of our photos are so full of life, taking us back to that exact time and place. Also, Sam suggested thinking about our day as an adventure first and a wedding second, and it really helped us realize the potential and plan a day that was way more badass and memorable than any traditional wedding! We certainly don’t feel like we missed out on anything by eloping; in fact, we feel the experience was more meaningful and intentional because we got to experience all of these new adventures together that were uniquely us. I’ve already had friends and colleagues come up to me asking how to elope like we did. My advice is, “Here’s Sam’s contact info – you need to call her.”

My husband and I come as a photo team! We feel your day should be captured your way! So we tailor our style and editing to each unique couple! It’s not about us, it’s about you. We will help you document what is most important to you, the way you envision! Just like you, we have felt awkward in front of the camera. We’ve had photos taken of us that we didn’t like. We will make sure you not only feel comfortable, but that you look good! We give you prompts to keep you moving so you look and feel natural and comfortable.

Awarded Best of Zola
Lacie was the absolute kindest, most sincere and down-to-earth photographer I've ever met! She was thorough with all of her questions, and made sure that we were all on the same understanding of how her process worked. During our engagement photos, she made us feel comfortable, and we could be our goofy selves, which made the photos feel so much more real, rather than posed. She is a natural and would make anyone feel beautiful/handsome! Our wedding photos still make me tear up! They are so beautiful, and she and her sister did the most amazing job! I can't believe how amazing she was with giving us time, and making sure that we got all the photos we had wanted and then some. We were so incredibly lucky to have her as our photographer and will be using her again in the future 3

My husband and I LOVED working with Ali for our wedding at the Picnic House in Prospect Park! She was responsive to all of our questions and quick to answer calls and emails. Calea was amazing from start to finish! I live in GA and got married in OR. All I saw was her IG and a brief conversation to book. I could not be more impressed with her and her work. I put all my faith into her from across the country and she did not let me down. Calea is so easy to work with and she is up for anything! Calea had sneak peaks to us immediately and a full gallery delivered in less than 2 weeks! My husband was skeptical at first but when he saw her work, he was absolutely blown away and how phenomenal she is! Calea also isn't afraid to be the voice if you are uneasy with telling others what they need to do. We had her at our Venue the day of the wedding. The next day we took a trip to Crater Lake and she captured my vision perfectly!! I have recommended Calea and True Light Photography to all of my friends and family!

I am a photographer and artist from the Pacific Northwest with Costa Rican and Scottish roots. My favorite things are dinosaurs, exploring new cities, board games, soccer, National Parks, and whiskey. I have been fortunate to photograph 200+ weddings in my PNW home, to ruins in Scotland, cityscapes in Vietnam, to the beaches of Maui, and beyond! I live in Portland, Oregon with my two dogs and three cats | 🏳️‍🌈🦖⛰️✈️📸⚽🫶🏼🌈🌲🦕🏝 Fun Fact: I was born on Leap Year Day so I'm 9 years old 🥳!

Awarded Best of Zola
Leah photographed our wedding at my family's property in Napa Valley, June 2024. Leah took lots of time to scope out the location and seemed to be absolutely *everywhere* during the wedding, at all the right moments. I didn't have to call her over once, because she was already there. She captured the emotions of the day, the little moments, the big moments, and made our day look like the fairytale wedding that it felt like. Once we got the photo gallery back (so quickly!) we relived the day all over again. We were tearing up and laughing at all the photos. I felt like I was looking at photos from a Brides magazine, but it was me! Another thing I'll mention is that Leah gives direction in a kind, calm and encouraging way. My husband is not too confident in photos and he felt SO comfortable posing with her there, and loves his photos too! I felt like she could guide me into more flattering poses when I felt uncertain about my angles. I love Leah and her work and would recommend her to anyone!

Venture Ever After
Rating: 5.0 (20 reviews)
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,200
  • Serves Merlin, OR

My name is Nadia. I specialize in elopements + adventure weddings in the Pacific Northwest. I help people have the wedding of their dreams in magical outdoor spaces. When you choose to elope, you’re choosing to get married free of society’s wedding day expectations. So go wild! Spend the entire day in your favorite place, with your favorite person. Wear a fancy outfit, or wear your hiking boots. Invite your dog instead of your mom’s second cousin. Share your first kiss under the stars instead of under an altar. In the great outdoors, you write the wedding rules. And I’m here to help make it an experience you’ll remember for a lifetime.

Awarded Best of Zola
When we began looking for a photographer for our micro-wedding, we gravitated towards Nadia’s images over and over again. Not only did they capture raw, intimate moments between couples and families, but they elevated those moments in elegant and natural landscapes of the PNW; everything we wanted. We reached out and set up a consultation call immediately. We were initially nervous and felt very unprepared to speak with photographers because we had zero ideas for what our special day would look like, but after our call with Nadia we were confident that Venture Ever After was the right choice for us. She was so knowledgeable and did a TON of legwork planning our timeline to best capture the moments we wanted in the lighting we needed, recommending a variety of locations for some private moments as a couple and group activities with our family, and keeping us grounded and calm throughout the entire process. On our wedding day, Nadia took the reigns and gently guided us through the day with compassion and grace. She constantly reminded us that each moment was for us and encouraged us to revel in all of the details. She even conquered some pretty crazy heights armed with multiple cameras and a walky-talky to capture some dramatic and beautiful couple’s portraits. Beyond being an incredible photographer, Nadia is one of the most genuine and kind people I’ve met. She has a knack for keeping elopement/wedding day energy light and helping her clients feel natural in front of the camera. My partner and I truly felt like models. I feel so blessed to have our wedding photographed by her and, above all, be able to call her a friend. I would recommend Nadia at Venture Ever After to everyone planning an elopement, wedding, or adventure in the PNW. In fact, I hope to be able to visit her and capture anniversaries and momentous occasions for our family long into the future.

Hi! My name is Mae, and I live in Brooklyn with my girlfriend, our two dogs Apollo and Bia, her cat Gigi and my lizard, Basil! I’ve always been passionate about capturing moments as authentically and magically as possible, and as i’ve settled more into this career path, I love that i’ve landed in a place where I have the privilege to capture and preserve people’s love stories. Weddings and elopements are so distinctly and uniquely human, and it’s truly the biggest honor to be trusted to document them.

Awarded Best of Zola
I came across Mae’s work when looking for a photographer for engagement photos in Central Park, and I was immediately impressed with Mae and knew we were going to be incredibly happy with the results. Mae responded immediately to all my questions, day or night, and took the time to video chat with me at length twice before the shoot to discuss what we were looking for in our photos. Before the shoot, I had sent her a few examples of what I liked, and not only did the photos come out exactly how I wanted them, but were even more perfect than I envisioned. The engagement shoot itself was so much fun, and Mae made us feel so comfortable throughout the entire process, despite us thinking we’d both feel awkward getting posed photos of us taken. Mae truly had a vision for what poses, locations, and lighting would work, and the execution was perfect. Some of the feedback we got from our friends was that the photos looked like a magazine, and that they were “ethereal.” Even better, Mae somehow got us the edited photos back within 24 hours of the shoot. Her pricing is also incredibly reasonable given the quality of her work, meticulousness, and experience in photography, as well as the very quick turnaround time. My fiance and I truly cannot recommend her enough, and we are excited to work with her again in the future. She is truly an artist, and any couple would be incredibly lucky to work with her!

My fiancé and I live in the Carolinas, and despite the three-hour time difference, we always felt in the loop, heard, and understood. From the first email to the wedding day, she was amazing. Now let's get to the important stuff... the wedding day. She was incredible. She got all the shots I wanted and then some. We were able to get all the photos done in a timely manner so that we could get back to the party and enjoy ourselves. Brayley captured both staged photos and the best candids. We cannot wait to get the rest of our album back. If you're thinking about hiring Brayley... DO IT!

Shooting with them literally feels like hanging with your best friends. They were an absolute joy from start to finish, but it was Sharayah’s attention to detail and artistic eye that impressed me above all else. It was inspiring to feel like we were all creating art together, and the photos don’t lie! Our engagement shoot went viral on Instagram, and we got hundreds of comments saying, “these are literally the best engagement photos I’ve ever seen.” I too, agree with that sentiment, but I have to give credit to Hereafter’s vision and execution because they NAILED it. As a team, they’re both extremely communicative and organized, professional yet relaxed in the way they interacted with us and our guests. No one has ever made me feel so comfortable in front of a camera. Additionally, their digital color grading is meticulously adjusted to match 35mm film with incredibly accuracy. They perfectly captured the magic of our special day. We booked them for the whole package - engagement shoot, wedding photos, and wedding video with super 8 film. Their understanding of my vision was remarkable…Hereafter managed to romanticize every single detail in a profound way. The photos are so special to us because each one feels like a standalone piece of art. They went above and beyond for us in every capacity, even going so far as to drive me to the venue on my wedding day when things ran late! We cannot recommend Hereafter Films highly enough. Book them immediately! I promise you, they are worth every single penny and more.

Capturing weddings as they unfold rather than directing how they should feel. My approach is quiet and observant — present enough to anticipate moments, but never interrupt them. The day moves naturally, and the images follow.

After our first photographer fell through, we found Caz and luckily he happened to be available on our wedding date. From the very first contact, he was incredibly responsive (super important to us), friendly and professional. His work looked great so we were excited - then we found out he was featured in Vogue! We were stoked. He was amazing to work with on the wedding day - punctual, friendly, got all the requested shots, and the whole bridal party loved him. We got our pictures back today - and they’re so much better than we could have dreamed of. It’s no wonder he was featured in Vogue - his work is artistic, candid, and beautiful. Thank you Caz for giving us such beautiful memories so we can relive the best day of our lives.

His photos are full of life, and I shared so many portraits with guests that actually got printed out or posted online. If you're looking for hundreds of photos of your wedding party that look exactly the same and for every planned second to be documented, Steven is not your person. If you're looking to hit the big moments but focus on capturing raw moments with timeless photos to get framed, I couldn't recommend them more. I never thought I would get a wedding video because it always seemed cheesy to me. But after watching examples of his work I fell absolutely in love with his videos. I've honestly had a hard time watching ours because it evokes so much emotion. Steven was collaborative and willing to go with the flow. We gave him the difficult task of being prepared for 3 different locations with totally differing lighting (indoor/outdoor plus shooting from high sun into the night). He puts an immense amount of care into his work and the photos are truly art that we will cherish forever. If there are specific things you want covered, be sure to share a list. When it comes to capturing the moments that can't be planned, he is on the case!

While planning our wedding, I knew I needed a photographer with a unique eye—someone who could zoom in on the most intimate, fleeting moments, but also zoom out and capture the full picture. That’s exactly what Coral delivered. I first found Coral before the wedding & was lucky enough to do an engagement shoot with her. She followed us around during a casual day in NYC, but somewhere along the way, she became so much more than just a photographer—she became a friend. She truly has an eye for love and knows exactly how to capture it in the most natural, effortless way. She is an absolute sweetheart and such a joy to work with—something that honestly goes without saying once you meet her. The photos from our engagement shoot were so incredible that hiring her for our wedding was an easy decision. And somehow, she exceeded every expectation. It almost feels strange to say we “hired” her, because it felt like having a friend there with us the entire day. She delivered more than we could have ever asked for. Everything was absolutely breathtaking—the photos, the videos, every single detail. Each image felt better than the last, & the variety in her style kept everything so interesting and elevated. Looking back at everything she captured feels like reliving the entire experience, and for that we are beyond grateful. 3

From the initial appointment, Lindsay was so warm and friendly - she made the entire process so unbelievably smooth. I never once had to worry or ask for communication - because she was always on top of everything before I had to ask. She was a great resource for us. When it came to the engagement session, ceremony, and reception, Lindsay made us feel so comfortable (we are notoriously awkward in front of a camera & she really made us feel 100% comfortable, which made every event more fun because she could capture our most authentic selves. Any random idea I saw I would ask her about and she was so receptive to it all & catered the entire experience to us (she also gave incredible ideas that fit with our personal style which were some of my favorite shots). Overall - we LOVED working with her & I would not have changed a single thing about her or the process, she did a fabulous job capturing our special days & she acclimated exceptionally to the different styles of each event.
