I’m Sam, a TEDx speaker, author, native Oregonian, and adventure elopement expert. And I regret my wedding. Oooof, right? I cried on my wedding day. They weren’t happy tears, either. Let me tell you my story. I had a day that wasn’t really about the connection I had with my husband. It wasn’t about who we were as people and about the things we loved. It wasn’t “us”. Imagine having an adventure elopement day that includes whatever floats your boat. Whether it’s adrenaline-packed, laughter-filled, chill vibes, or all of the above.     Let’s start off with the fact that the whole week we were in Alaska felt like a blur, because it was truly more awe-inspiring than anything we could’ve imagined, making it SO hard to go back to reality after this fantasy adventure that Sam helped us cook up. There were helicopters, tons of different sights, glaciers, and MOOSE! One thing we loved about working with Sam was that it never really felt like we took posed photos; there were prompts and directions, but it really was genuine, she captured us just being weirdly us. Jeff complained about getting his photos taken in the months leading up to our elopement, but the experience was way better than expected (he grew up despising cameras) and all of our photos are so full of life, taking us back to that exact time and place. Also, Sam suggested thinking about our day as an adventure first and a wedding second, and it really helped us realize the potential and plan a day that was way more badass and memorable than any traditional wedding! We certainly don’t feel like we missed out on anything by eloping; in fact, we feel the experience was more meaningful and intentional because we got to experience all of these new adventures together that were uniquely us. I’ve already had friends and colleagues come up to me asking how to elope like we did. My advice is, “Here’s Sam’s contact info – you need to call her.”

    Magical, Fairytale, Epic these are all words we heard after revealing the stunning images Sam captured for us. These are also words that describe Sam and the experiences she helps create for you. From the very first time we spoke with her on the phone a quick getting to know you call had turned into 2 hours of friendship, excitement and day dreaming about our wedding. We knew right away we wanted to work with her. We could tell how passionate and invested she is about her work and clients (who quickly turn into friends). Not only does she bring this amazing passion and excitement to your photos but she also lives it everyday and encourages you to do the same. We reached out to Sam because of her incredible work but fell in love with her personality. Not knowing what to expect we put our hands and faith in her and had the adventure of a lifetime. We were so comfortable and carefree there was nothing to worry about. Our focus was on each other, we were able to enjoy a day designed around everything we love as a couple all with Sam's help and guidance. Her endless resources, open communication, and recommendations led us to our most memorable day and the gallery/album reveals allow us to relive it as often as we like. She is truly a magnificent person and her talent goes beyond the photography (although you should see her snapping from the back of a horse or in a kayak mid-ocean). The Elope Your Life experience is more than just photos and if you're looking for an epic experience this is it.
