Matrimony Northwest

Anthony is a licensed attorney who started officiating weddings in Oregon as a Judge (hence our company’s former name, The Wedding Judge). Matrimony Northwest has expanded in the 15 years since Anthony officiated his first wedding and has added two additional officiants—Emily and Henry. The three of them have officiated thousands of weddings in the Pacific Northwest in all different types of venues - back yards, courtrooms, coffee shops, beaches, mountain vistas, and more. Anthony is only the second person to have officiated a wedding in the Oregon State Capitol Building, and the only person to do so in modern times.

Ceremonies are completely customizable because we want you to have the wedding you want. We are very flexible and can accommodate short-notice weddings - even same-day ceremonies. We can even accommodate couples who don't have witnesses. For couples who want a "courthouse"-type wedding without the courthouse setting, we offer our services at a significant discount. Anthony can officiate ceremonies in both English and Spanish. As a former judge and licensed attorney, Anthony is legally and ethically obligated to keep your information safe. Emily and Henry abide by the same standards.

    Best to do it!!!!

    Anthony went above and beyond for mine & my husband’s elopement off the Oregon coast! As a Christian couple, we were so grateful for him officiating for us and delivering exactly what we were looking for. He made us feel so comfortable and he was the most kind! 1000/10 recommend!!!!!

    Anthony at The Wedding Judge made the whole ceremony so straightforward and easy. We were able to pick a template and add our own vows to make it our own and got a detailed rehearsal guide that made the whole process super smooth. We have gotten nothing but compliments on how beautiful our ceremony was ever since.

    Awesome Wedding Officiant!!

    I had found Matrimony Northwest after looking for an officiant online. They were super helpful when booking and provided plenty of information and guidance on wedding ceremonies! Their pricing and communication were awesome, and it made this part of our wedding run smoothly. They provided all the information needed for getting a wedding license in Oregon or Washington, and they even provided some sample ceremony scripts to reference. They also helped adjust my script so that the ceremony ran smoothly and it was truly a helpful and much appreciated experience for someone trying to figure all this out on their own! Henry was a phenomenal officiant and really helped make our ceremony memorable. Guests had told us how beautiful the ceremony was, and I cannot thank Henry enough for being apart of our day. I’m so glad and grateful that I found Matrimony Northwest and that Henry was our officiant! I would recommend them over and over again to anyone looking for an officiant!

    Anthony is the best!

    Wow, Anthony was incredible during our event in Newberg, Oregon at Parrett Mountain Cellars. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Anthony for your upcoming event and service. Trust me. It was such a beautiful experience and his leading our ceremony made this nearly stress free! Just kidding, but golly having him as our officiant really made this process simple, clear and our guests loved the service. Thank you Anthony for everything you did to make our event such a success. We have several sample ceremonies, vows, and readings. If you want to modify them, we’re more than happy to oblige. We can work on creating a ceremony that’s just right for you, or if you already have a ceremony in mind, we’ll gladly use it. We can also write something highlighting your unique relationship, if you’d like. Anthony, Emily, and Henry want you to have the wedding you want.
We perform both English and Spanish language weddings, and are happy to work with an event translator for other languages.

Yes! We're happy to consult with you until your ceremony is perfect for you, free of any extra charges. We offer a wide variety of sample ceremonies that you're free to mix and match, and are happy to go outside that box if that's what you're looking for. Our officiants are experienced writers, and we want you to have the ceremony that's right for you.
Absolutely! We're also happy to perform legal marriages and elopements in preparation for other ceremonies. If this is the case, we'll give you a discount if you book us for a second ceremony!
