Anna Socolofsky

Officiant and Founder

Hi! My name is Anna Soco (she/her) and I'm the PNW's premiere Queer wedding officiant and believer in love. My work is rooted in the belief that love is alive, communal, and transformative - and because of that, your wedding ceremony should be, too! I work with soulmates of all kinds to create ceremonies that reflect what truly matters most to you. My clients (y'all!) are my "co" - each new client relationship is an opportunity to learn more about love, together. I adore, appreciate, and learn from each and every one of you. And I never quit rooting for my couples!

A student of world religions with a BA in Religious Studies and an MA in Teaching, I draw on my background as both educator and facilitator to create spaces of meaning, connection, and joy. I'm a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and it is my honor to serve all healthy love stories with respect, intention, and a big hearty dose of Soco & Co. magic. My work has been recognized with two Best of Weddings Awards (2025 and 2026), features in Washington Wedding Day’s Best of 2025 and most recently, was voted Best Officiant in the PNW Weddings Magazine's 2026 Excellence Awards. I truly love what I do!

The Shoreline: An Intimate Beginning

A ceremony rooted in the place where love first feels like home—your living room or that of someone who adores you. With up to eight guests gathered close, we create a simple, meaningful hour together. I’ll offer warm opening remarks, you’ll share your vows, exchange rings, say “I do,” and step into marriage wrapped in the presence of your people. This is wedding ceremony at its purest: homegrown joy, nothing extra. Offered on a sliding scale ($350-$750) because every love deserves celebration.

The Crossing: Beautifully Personal

Description

Designed for couples who want something personal, sweet, and full of ease—on the beach, in the woods, or in a cozy venue with a handful of loved ones. You’ll complete a love story questionnaire that helps me anchor your ceremony fully in your love’s joy and wisdom. You may choose an optional reading, and together we’ll move through your vows, ring exchange, “I do’s,” and a joyful pronouncement. Ideal for ~20-60 guests

Open Waters: The Signature Experience

This is where we go all in. Over multiple sessions (virtual or IRL), we settle into long-form conversation, and you get the chance to complete a thoughtful, story-rich questionnaire based on what I learn about you. From these touchpoints, I craft a ceremony that could only belong to each of you—deeply personal, woven from the heart of your relationship. Prepare to go off the beaten path!

    Warm, Safe, & Supported Vow Renewal :)

    My partner and I didn't know what to expect before meeting with Anna, but she expertly guided our initial conversation by asking questions and learning more about us. She had the idea to create a beautiful memory walk that we did on our way to the ceremony that had personal photos of us that we had sent her. She did more than just arrange the photos on a path, she curated them into groups that had questions for my partner and I to reflect on before our vow renewal. By the end I felt like I had been put in the right headspace for the ceremony. Anna also wrote a beautiful, custom piece about our love and recited a poem that she had helped us find. Before we began she also double checked with us what we wanted from our vows, if we wanted her to leave or to hold the bubble. We opted for her to stay and she did a wonderful job of supporting us. She is such a kind, thoughtful person and I really felt like she cared about us and what we wanted out of our vow renewal.

    Incredible/Thoughtful/Loving Ceremony (!)

    Anna delivered the most special and magical wedding ceremony that my wife and I will never forget. Anna created a beautiful and personalized wedding ceremony and guided us every step of the way - through prep, creation and delivery. She exceeded all expectations. All my family members still mention to me how wonderful Anna was and have asked us for copies of Anna’s ceremony script. I cannot recommend Anna highly enough for any wedding. She is phenomenal and we were lucky to have her.

    Best Wedding Officiant Ever!!

    An Officiant’s Greatest Asset

    When my brother asked my to officiate his wedding, I was overwhelmed with the idea of writing a ceremony. Soco and Co wrote the most incredible program that was personal, funny, and most importantly a true reflection of my brother and his future wife. Without the task of writing the ceremony, I was able to support my brother in other ways before his big day. I couldn’t recommend Soco and Co more for helping you on your big day!

    Anna was our dream queer officiant

    Anna Socolofsky was such a dream officiant. She brought the kind of mature, strong, knowing presence to our time working together and to our wedding that made us feel so held and allowed us to stand in our power. Any wedding nerves fell away because it was like walking into this next season of life with someone who was there to support and help you trust your own strength. She not only worked with our psychotically short time frame but brought a focus on queer love and joy to our wedding that was so vital and important to us. We did a very intimate small casual wedding but having her presence brought the cohesion that the ceremony needed to make it feel like a ritual and not just a backyard party. We will always remember working with her with fondness and recommend her to so many in our community.

Absolutely! In fact, your entire ceremony will be completely, fully personalized. Throughout our process, I'll get to know your story and what matters most to you. I write each ceremony from scratch (no AI here!) based on everything that makes you unique. And once I send you the draft, I eagerly await your edits! Because the best art (to me) is made collaboratively. And your ceremony is about to be a work of art!
I've been in business since 2021, the year my son was born. This business has grown right alongside him. It's my (other) pride and joy!
Yes, yes, absolutely yes. The ceremony and the legal paperwork are entirely different things, and though I can certainly help you with both, the ceremony is the part that bonds you on an emotional and/or community level. It is a joy for me to perform commitment ceremonies and vow renewals, whether or not a marriage license is part of it!
Due to the busy nature of wedding season, I'm not always available to travel or to attend in-person rehearsals. Instead, I offer one virtual rehearsal to each of my couples. We meet the week before your big day, walk through the ceremony and ensure we have every last detail correct. You're welcome to invite important members of your team, too! That way, when you do gather for your rehearsal IRL, you and your planner can work off of the same*perfected* document we'll use on your wedding day. It'll be smooth as butter.
