We help outdoorsy lovers get married in beautiful outdoor venues provided by Mother Nature herself. Our couples have the wedding of their lifetime doing things that matter to them with their closest family and friends. We create inexpensive intimate ceremonies in expansive settings in the woods, river canyons, mountain ridges, deserts, or beaches. We give couples an opportunity to create their own ceremonies and trail-blaze their own traditions as they begin their Forever Endeavor Together. And we document it all with stunning, bold, crystal clear photographs and 4K cinema films that are a reverie both in nature and love.

We bring our experience as landscape and wedding photographers together for a fine art photo experience of your adventurous wedding out in nature. We are lifelong adventurers with Survival Med Wilderness First Responder training. We ski, raft, and backpack all over the Sierra Nevada. We are a short drive from Yosemite National Park, and we love to travel internationally. Kira is ordained to help couples elope without the crowds of a traditional wedding. Forrest is a fine art landscape photographer who brings his editing expertise to the team. Our favorite love language is Quality Time Out in Nature, and we would love to spend it with you!

    Kira The Great: Destroyer of Frowns

    When My Wiiiiife and I hired Natural Unions, we expected photography. What we Didn't expect was light wedding planning, the ability for The Great Kira: Destroyer of Frowns to be able to help us locate an alternative wedding venue on short notice due to potential weather issues, AND for such exceptional local scouting for the most fantastic locations not only for portraits, but also the ceremony location itself. If you want the same boring overpriced stuff, hire someone else. If you want more fun than you bargained for, and unique lasting snapshots of your special day, hire Natural Unions.

    10 Year Vow Renewal Adventure

    Our life together has been an adventure. I knew I wanted something special to encapsulate the essence of us for our 10 year vow renewal. Natural Unions' photography was perfect. The day was an adventure itself. They were flexible with our sporadic nature and changing weather. We went to many locations to find the Goldilocks of what we were looking for. When we verbalized our commitment to each other it was in the serenity of nature. The photos are absolutely breathtaking and ones we will cherish for the rest of life’s adventure together.

Yes, and we are so excited to take mountain mamas out in nature, in a very safe manner. You are on a powerful journey and we absolutely love to emphasize that goddess energy in front of mountains, by a river, in a field of delicate lupines, etc.
We pride ourselves in delivering photo collections on time, every time. We select 5 highlight photos and do a brief edit of them so you have some social media teasers ready to share within 48 hours of our return home. If we snagged some video snippets, we will create a quick reel for you to enjoy and share. Your entire collection deserves the time we give it amidst a busy shooting schedule, but we make sure that after your honeymoon dust settles, you have your digital proofs within a month of your wedding date.
Yes we do! We love to print our work. In this screen saturated digital world, it's refreshing to actually see printed photographs. Did you know that phone, tablet, & computer screens only represent 65% of the actual color gamut information compared to a professionally printed photograph? Crazy, right?! We offer the best printed albums & folios with bespoke detailing available to customize these heirlooms. As soon as possible. Schedules fill up a year in advance. That being said, sometimes we have semi-last-minute availability--we're talking 1-2 months in advance. This kind of timing works best for couples who want to elope with or without and small guest list. We are a dynamic duo of photographers, and we don't like to cross lenses with other photographers. If you want to have assistants of other styles (dress fluffers, puppy wranglers, snack and bev fetchers, and solid wedding coordinators), we love the extra hands on deck with their own specializations and skills coming into play on your big day.
Yes. Forrest is a fine art landscape photographer will an incredible background in ultra high-end photo editing. He edits specifically for size and intended use so that whether your photos are being printed extra large at 30"x40" or rendered for crisp display on social media, your photos will always look STUNNING. This is a level of service we bring that elevates the results to a fine art level when desired by our lovely clients.
We tend to shoot around 2,000 images and edit down to around 200. We spend extra time editing the very best of the best images that represent your special day in the best way possible.
Yes, we have insurance that covers both of us on site, our gear, your photos, our equipment, and we have a liability policy. Additionally, for our adventure wedding couples, we are Wilderness First Responder trained and always have a GPS satellite device in case of extreme emergency.
We never cancel! But we also have not been laid up in a hospital on anyone's wedding day (thankfully!). In the event of inclimate weather, we always try to help facilitate our couples elopements or weddings with rain gear, clear umbrellas, a hot tent, lots of time to wait out rainstorms, and are open to rescheduling as our calendar and weather predictions allow. We will never leave you hung out with no photographer. In the very rare event that we are unable to photograph your wedding, we will make sure you’re covered by one of our colleagues or our contracted assistant.
