Skylark was the best possible venue we could have booked for our wedding reception, full stop. Throughout the booking process, they were always highly responsive and professional. They invited us back for drink tastings, for catering option tastings, and even once got my now-wife and her two friends a table on a crowded Saturday night without a reservation. All in all, the venue itself is amazing. We lucked out and got the rooftop for our cocktail hour which we extended an extra 45m 'til sunset and our guests loved taking photos. The main dance area / bar of Skylark is fashionable, chic, and has a certain vibe that meshed perfectly with what my wife and I were looking for. They also have excellent side-rooms for the wedding party to take a moment to decompress in a cool leather-bound corner apartment with its own bar, bathroom, and changing area. The were a few things that really caught my attention as we were touring for the first time: the downstairs entrance is dark, moody, and intentionally a bit industrial which really helps set a New York vibe. Upstairs, I noticed our tour guide thought the music was a touch too loud in one of the side-rooms, so he immediately tweaked the volume down a notch on their iPad music controls. The drinks were excellent (we opted for the Cherry Blossom Old Fashioned and the French 75 for our wedding cocktails). We also came back to sample the food options (we went for a cocktail-style dinner with phased courses throughout the night), & they were all incredibly delicious thanks to Skylark's partnership with Abigail Kirsch. Lastly, our coordinator was Phil Montana and he is one of the best parts of our experience. He has exceptional attention to detail, coordination skills, and a warm & empathetic personality. I would also like to recognize the staff who were all wonderful in taking care of us & our guests throughout the night. If you are on the fence, I would highly suggest a tour. When we booked, Skylark did not have a ton of reviews either on Zola or on The Knot, so this review is my way of encouraging any readers to give it a shot -- if you are looking for a fashionable, chic New York wedding experience, The Skylark really cannot be beat. I'm looking forward to returning periodically as regular customers as well!

Having never been privy to what goes into a wedding reception, I was in the dark about a lot. So, I had difficulty understanding what to choose and how much our choices would cost. If it wasn’t for the close proximity to the church, I may have chosen a different venue for our reception. The food and beverage was the biggest expense and the biggest source of confusion. The real disappointment of the F&B was the limited amount of food. The shrimp appetizer was good. However, there was so little, if you didn’t grab some, it was gone. Of the three entrees to choose from, the only one that was any good was the fish and the portion was less than one would reasonably expect for an entree. The chicken was dry and hard, a huge disappointment. The lemon tart dessert was good. The space itself is very nice. Fortunately, it was just the right size for our reception.

One of my favorite spots in the city, I highly recommend the hotel and restaurant! My fiancé and I celebrated our engagement at North Square (the adjoining restaurant) and it was absolutely perfect. The meal and service both were impeccable as always. We love taking parents, friends, and out-of-towners here to enjoy a little slice of West Village history!

We had the best night of our lives at Peasant celebrating our wedding. We chose this restaurant because we always loved the food and romantic cozy atmosphere. When we had to quickly pivot our wedding plans to a smaller venue (4 weeks from our date!), they were our first call. The team at Peasant sprang into action and delivered the wedding we always dreamed of. We had our ceremony in front of the beautiful brick oven. We barely decorated the space because it's already so gorgeous. Our 70 guests sat at long tables for an incredible family style meal. The space quickly transformed into a dance floor, and a friend of ours DJ'd our favorite music. If you're looking for an intimate venue where you can relax and soak up the pure joy of your wedding day, Peasant has the vibes. Our guests still rave about the rigatoni alla vodka, the espresso martinis, and the kindness of the team months later. We keep going back for dates because we can't possibly get enough, and Peasant will always hold a special place in our hearts.

As I planned our surprise engagement, I wanted to choose a location to go after that moment to celebrate with a larger group of friends and family that resonated with both of us, so our local wine spot, Temperance, was perfect. Having no idea whether they would even consider a private party I reached out through an email on the website and quickly realized how kind and accommodating the staff was. We were able to rent out the back patio and fully customize the space with our own set up and outside decorations. As a part of the space rental we were allowed an allotment of more than enough food and, more importantly, a customized collection of reds, whites, oranges and rosès. I’d recommend letting the staff pick the specific wines, they’re the experts after all (they did pick one special wine just for us and immediate family based on my specific request, but I like to pretend that was just for me). It was the perfect place to celebrate with around 25 of our closest friends and family. The one downside was they have a hard cutoff of 10pm due to some vocal neighbors but the staff was very upfront throughout the booking process that that was going to be the case, so there were no surprises. Additionally, because of how much we love the aesthetic inside near the bar and the room fronting Carmine Street, we also asked if we could start our engagement photo shoot at Temperance before they opened one night. Once again, we were met with a staff that went out of their way to help us anyway they could and even gave us a glass of wine each to take the edge off of some poses that feel extremely ridiculous in the moment, but turned out to be great pictures. We were as happy with those pictures as we were with both of those experiences at Temperance.

From the moment we booked our wedding at King Restaurant, their team demonstrated a thoughtful, considerate, and meticulous approach that put us at ease throughout the entire planning process. The venue itself was intimate, elegant, and celebratory, creating a truly festive and charming atmosphere for our special day. They went above and beyond to customize every aspect, including crafting signature cocktails that reflected our favorite drinks with personal meaning, and serving an amazing spread of seafood towers, antipasti, and even espresso martini shots at the end of the night. Gran Morsi was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding. Their communication was fantastic - they were quick to respond and incredibly courteous throughout the entire process. The venue itself was clean, spacious for the size of our wedding, and absolutely beautiful. All of the staff were so warm and completely on top of everything, ensuring I did not have to worry about a single detail. They truly came in clutch when we lost our original reception location, being incredibly accommodating and going above and beyond to help us any chance they could, even though we were planning our wedding all the way from Georgia. I had my surprise engagement party at Tavern 29 and was thrilled with everything they provided. My party had 80 guests and we had the entire 2nd floor to ourselves which included our own bar and bathroom. Taylor (the party planner) and Will (the manager) were great to work with and quickly answered my (many) questions leading up to the event. I visited about a dozen bars and restaurants in the area and Tavern 29 had the best space by far. Their pricing was very reasonable and they were flexible with me on the structure of the pricing. They had more food options than I was expecting and everything was delicious. They really made everything so easy, and I am very grateful as the entire party went perfectly.

We are so happy we found Celestine and could host our wedding there! When we first came across this venue, we instantly knew that it ticked all of our boxes. The views of the Manhattan Bridge and the downtown Manhattan skyline are gorgeous, the Mediterranean-style food is fantastic, and the staff is professional and attentive. We visited several times before the wedding to sample the menu and treat friends and family to a great time, and we were consistently impressed with the quality and the service. Working with the Celestine events team, Nisrine, Kirsten, and Krystle, was a breeze. During the entire period leading up to the wedding, we were in constant contact and had several meetings, which made us able to relax throughout the process, knowing that everything was completely under control. We had our separate day-of coordinator who integrated seamlessly with the Celestine team, and Krystle, our Celestine coordinator, on the wedding day. Once the big day came around, we could not have been more prepared and at ease. Everything worked and turned out as beautiful and perfect as we had hoped! Many of our guests have said (and are still telling us!) that this was one of the best weddings they have ever been to, with many of their compliments directed towards the venue, food, and staff. Among all the other wedding venues in DUMBO, Celestine stands out as a true gem. It has everything we could have wished for in a very intimate, beautiful setting that will leave memories for a lifetime and have us coming back for more!

This past August, my daughter Sheraden chose to get married in the vibrant city of New York. For us, it was a destination wedding, as we live just outside another great city, Toronto, Canada. After visiting several venues, we decided on Bryant Park Grill—a special place for our family, as it was a memorable stop during our first trip to NYC when Sheraden was just 11 years old. Clearly, the city left a lasting impression, as it has become a favorite destination for her over the years. Planning a wedding from a distance is no small feat, especially for us, as we have a background in event decorating and are typically very hands-on. From our very first meeting with Kristi Ohlin, the Catering Sales Manager, we knew we were in good hands. The team at Bryant Park Grill has an incredible depth of experience in hosting events, which became evident throughout the entire process. To say they are experienced is an understatement. Kristi and her team kept us on track from start to finish and recommended outstanding vendors, many of whom we chose to work with. While we brought our own creative touches—including some sizable props—we entrusted the team at Bryant Park Grill to execute our vision seamlessly. Coordinating wedding décor and logistics in a bustling city like New York is no easy task, but Kristi and her colleague, Diane Giovannone, went above and beyond to ensure everything came together perfectly. Their ability to understand and bring our ideas to life, even without our direct involvement on the day, was nothing short of extraordinary. The result? My husband Dustin held our reception at Albert's Bar in April. My goodness I cannot begin to say enough about how picture perfect this venue is! Not only is the space itself beautiful and unbeatable, the team behind Albert's Bar are among the nicest and most helpful I've ever worked with. Their events lead Jenn was with us every step of the way, the manager Pete made us feel so seen & heard, and a massive thank you also to Abby for executing every detail for us on the day of the big event! The bar tenders and wait staff completed enamored my family & friends (and how kind were they to humor us in our excessive enthusiasm!) There are so many areas of our experience to rave about... Quite honestly, my family and friends are *still* waxing poetic about their big night out in midtown. This venue absolutely elevated the experience of everyone who attended. We had several high profile attendees from out of town who mentioned more than once that they were "completely blown away by Albert's". My guests who were local were equally impressed. This venue made us look as cool as we think we are ;) Run, don't walk, to secure your wedding space with Albert's. My wife and I got married in an intimate brunch ceremony in the Garden room and it was absolutely everything we wanted. The space is beautiful with tons of natural light and we were able to comfortably fit our 20 guests photographer, second shooter, and planner. The staff were super helpful and beyond friendly - our guests never had to wait around to flag someone down and they were all very happy with the steady flow of drinks and food. The staff also quickly accommodated our request to bring out many orders of the famous pancakes (which really are that good) with the rest of the food (rather than after) and did some great jigsawing with all the food on the table. They also helpfully packaged up all the leftovers into a bunch of bags, allowing our us and our guests to take home extra food. Would highly recommend Sunday in Brooklyn, particularly if you are looking for a brunch time event. Only downside was the flooring in the Garden room is wood with a decent amount of room between planks and my heels kept getting stuck between them.

My wife and I were determined to have our wedding in New York City and researched a bunch of venues in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Radegast was the last place that we visited, and we put our deposit down the day after our walk through and ended the search. Sean managed the booking for us, and we felt his attention and thoroughness immediately. This was in stark contrast to the apathy that we felt at other places; almost like we needed to work for any enthusiasm from the venue about booking with them. We felt “wined and dined” by Sean and super confident that he would take the event as seriously as we were. We ended up booking The Bier House space with the buffet food option. Our intuition was right, Radegast was incredible! Not only were they the most affordable option that we could find in the city for our number of guests, but the space was so beautiful that we didn’t have to spend money on any additional decor. The food was delicious, the staff was attentive and friendly, and all of our guests were really impressed. Sean and the staff at Radegast “bent over backwards” (a quote from our wedding planner) to make sure that our vision for the day matched reality. They helped solve any problem that came along, and did so with a smile. They were as accommodating on the day of the event as they were in the months leading up to it. The price was exactly what we were quoted, there were not any unexpected add-ons or fees. The event was an absolute blast and the venue had a lot to do with it. Also the location is incredible. Williamsburg is perfect for everyone; your NYC friends are a subway ride away, your weird conservative relatives from Long Island can park in the parking garage literally across the street and run home right after the event, and anyone unfamiliar with the city will leave the event loving how pretty Brooklyn is. This is absolutely the best value for a wedding venue in New York City and the positive vibes are through the roof!

The street level venue features wall-to-wall windows with stained glass detailing, a warm, spacious environment, and a wide variety of Threes beers on draft. The built-in sound system can be tailored for playlists, DJs, and full bands alike. Buying out F+K means a party for up to 100 guests, or 60 seated, but if you’re looking for something casual for a smaller group, we have The Parlor, a semi-private event room just off to the side of the main bar or The Studio, a fully private event space with a satellite bar upstairs. It’s perfect for engagement parties, small wedding receptions, welcome parties, and after-parties.

This was the most amazing experience ever! We had our wedding at Threes Brewing at their Greenpoint location and from start to finish, Angie was exceptional and so, so, SO kind and helpful to us. She was extremely responsive to all our questions and concerns, and always made the effort to respond as soon as possible. The wedding industry and wedding planning process is so tough and stressful, but Angie went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of and she accommodated every concern and change we had. Not to mention, the food & drinks were amazing! Our guests still rave about the food and cocktails they were served, and every person says that the food and drinks were the best they've ever had at a wedding, which is super high praise! We could not have done this without Angie and the team at Threes Brewing, and would really suggest either of their locations as a perfect wedding venue for a couple looking for something that's intimate and cozy, and have amazing food and drinks!

This was the most unique and fun venue I have ever been to. It does not feel like its in the middle of Brooklyn! Incredible location and amazing experience. There is nothing like it. The tacos and drinks were amazing. The staff was lovely to work with. My guests had the best time using the mechanical bull! Truly an amazing experience. I can't wait to host another event at Desert 5. We hosted our after party for our wedding there and it was unforgettable.
