We shared some playlists with him for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and the dance floor, and he completely understood the vibes we were going for and ran with it, working in everything from Irish folk songs to KPop Demon Hunters to Bruce Springsteen. So many guests told us the music felt just like “us” and commented on what a great DJ Michael was. As the bride, I even postponed changing into my “late night” dress because I wanted to spend more time on the dance floor! He played a VERY important role in our big day, not only as our photographer, but as our witness, sole ceremony attendee, hype man, and what felt like a friend by the end of the day. He went above and beyond our expectations, and our photo session with him was a highlight of our wedding experience. Justin is amazing at his craft, as evidenced by his work. He also has an intimate knowledge of the DC monuments, museums, and various venues that offer great photo ops, so he was very helpful in selecting the Library of Congress as the primary setting for our session post-ceremony. Once we were there, he knew all of the best rooms, corners, and angles to get the best shots. He also identified a few impromptu stops on our path to get shots with the Capitol and the Washington Monument in the background. I couldn't be happier that we were able to get such amazing photos in front of the most iconic spots in DC. Beyond the beautiful photos, Justin has an infectious energy and is so much fun to be around. He will put you at ease while coaching you through poses, and he makes the whole thing so much fun. “Working with Kandid Art was overall a great experience! They showed up on time and made sure we got all the shots we wanted. Though the wedding ran a bit behind, they were flexible. The photos turned out beautiful, and they got creative with the locations given the cold, rainy weather. They even got some funny shots of the kids at the wedding that are some of my favorites! The video was also good, although I don't love that they had to use like stock music for the background (I guess it's because of copyright issues with other songs?). I wish they would have included audio of the vows rather than the cheers of the attendees, so make sure you ask them to do that if you want it! I do love that they provided us with all the raw video footage though, as some of the most special moments didn't make the highlight video. Due to the event running behind, the cost increased a bit (which I was asked about after the wedding) due to the 2 photographers needing to split up to cover the shots. I wish they had asked me or the Wedding Coordinator about that on the day of so we could understand better what was the issue, but it was a minor thing in terms of communication. Overall 8/10 rating and would recommend.”

There was one particular transition between two songs that was the best we've ever heard, and the crowd LOVED it.
