He played a VERY important role in our big day, not only as our photographer, but as our witness, sole ceremony attendee, hype man, and what felt like a friend by the end of the day. He went above and beyond our expectations, and our photo session with him was a highlight of our wedding experience. Justin is amazing at his craft, as evidenced by his work. He also has an intimate knowledge of the DC monuments, museums, and various venues that offer great photo ops, so he was very helpful in selecting the Library of Congress as the primary setting for our session post-ceremony. Once we were there, he knew all of the best rooms, corners, and angles to get the best shots. He also identified a few impromptu stops on our path to get shots with the Capitol and the Washington Monument in the background. I couldn't be happier that we were able to get such amazing photos in front of the most iconic spots in DC. Beyond the beautiful photos, Justin has an infectious energy and is so much fun to be around. He will put you at ease while coaching you through poses, and he makes the whole thing so much fun. “We had the pleasure of working with DJ Wong from MyDeejay. A quick review of MyDeejay: They were excellent to work with. They paired us with DJ Wong after we filled out a quick survey about the vibe we wanted for our wedding, and it was smooth sailing from there. It's clear from working DJ Wong that MyDeejay vets their DJs very well and ensures they're all professional and great to work with. Now for DJ Wong: He's got all of the main things you want in a vendor--professionalism, responsiveness, expertise, etc.), but he goes well above and beyond those standards. He provided ceremony music, background music, reception music, and uplighting, but that's just the starting point of everything he did for us. We were PICKY and we had A LOT of requests, and he accommodated them all flawlessly and eagerly. We requested he alter versions of some of our selected songs to adjust for timing, blending parts of songs together, and very particular transitions between songs. He made everything sound amazing! We had not 1, not 2, but FIVE choreographed dances throughout the evening, and he executed the timing of everything perfectly. The sound was incredible! In addition to that, because we were completely over-the-top for our wedding, DJ Wong so graciously and excitedly fulfilled our request to have KARAOKE at our reception. It was SO MUCH FUN!!! We had a very particular vibe in mind from our wedding--we wanted our ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner to be classy and jazzy, and then for the reception dancing we wanted a mix of Pop anthems from the past 3 decades--DJ Wong understood the assignment perfectly! We were also at a very large venue and he had to provide sound across many different areas throughout the evening, but he came fully prepared and did an excellent job. We received so many compliments about the ambience for the entire evening, and we attribute that to him! On top of everything else, DJ Wong is an excellent MC and can read a room flawlessly. He kept the vibes up the entire evening, and struck the perfect balance of engaging with the audience and letting the music do the work. We are so grateful we had him for our special day!”

“Ed was so helpful and easy to work with our entire wedding process, which was a breath of fresh air in a very busy season! My friend had him at her wedding a few years prior and highly recommended him, and I’m so glad we took her suggestion! Ed has a great DJ website where you can add all the songs you like, as well as which songs you don’t want to hear (which is very important for me). He then creates amazing mixes with the songs and knows how to keep the party going. I was really happy he was able to find our first dance song, which is from the 1940s and not easy to stream from just anywhere (thank you!!!). Our dance floor felt tailored to us, and the lights were so fun. He also did our introductions and gave the guests instructions when needed. If you’re on the fence about getting a DJ, book Edward Zaruba—he made our reception FUN!”

They treated everyone with genuine respect, helped with anything we needed (even holding our dogs’ leashes for group photos), and stayed focused and positive through a very long day—including hiking to our site. I was matched with Liseth for hair and Andy for makeup, they both are so talented. Throughout the whole process the Updos team was very responsive, communicatIve and easy to work with. Before my trial they gave me opportunity to share inspo pics they could see exactly what I wanted. I sent the pictures and when I went to the trial both Liseth and Andy listened and did a great job. I did make a few changes however, I did love my look and the changes were very minor. On the day of the wedding both Liseth and Andy were on time and they did an awesome job on everyone’s hair and makeup. “After meeting dozens of photographers, scrolling hundreds of portfolios, and feeling like all wedding photographers were the same, I saw Margarita at a wedding expo booth. Her display photos were nothing I had ever seen from a wedding photographer before...an artistic voice. Scroll her work and you'll be relieved to find someone who captures raw, real emotion and doesn't rely on 50 filters and over saturation in her work. Her prices were incredibly reasonable so we booked her immediately. After talking with us, she suggested we do our engagement shoot at a brewery/arcade which we had never been to and now we go every week! Props to her Baltimore city knowledge and ability to read us to find one of our favorite places that has significant meaning More importantly, when we got our photos back, we were floored. Neither my partner nor I really like our photos taken but we loved the photos and how we looked. She brought out the models in us with such ease because the whole time you work with her it feels like your with a friend who just happens to have a camera. It all felt natural and genuine and you can see it in the photos. The wedding was the same thing - just a laidback feeling between my spouse, Margarita, and me just hanging out. Yes, she can shoot a camera. Yes, she can edit photos. Yes, she can properly read light and stage photos. All necessary skills of a photographer but her real skill is making connections with her clients and capturing genuine emotions and moments. She'll set your mind at ease so you can be present with your partner to enjoy your day then she'll deliver you hundreds of breathtaking photos. Book her, you won't regret it.”
