“I can't say enough about Justin! We had an amazing experience working with him for our elopement. He played a VERY important role in our big day, not only as our photographer, but as our witness, sole ceremony attendee, hype man, and what felt like a friend by the end of the day. He went above and beyond our expectations, and our photo session with him was a highlight of our wedding experience. Justin is amazing at his craft, as evidenced by his work. He also has an intimate knowledge of the DC monuments, museums, and various venues that offer great photo ops, so he was very helpful in selecting the Library of Congress as the primary setting for our session post-ceremony. Once we were there, he knew all of the best rooms, corners, and angles to get the best shots. He also identified a few impromptu stops on our path to get shots with the Capitol and the Washington Monument in the background. I couldn't be happier that we were able to get such amazing photos in front of the most iconic spots in DC. Beyond the beautiful photos, Justin has an infectious energy and is so much fun to be around. He will put you at ease while coaching you through poses, and he makes the whole thing so much fun. “I came to your team 6 weeks out from my wedding after a bad experience at a previous hair and makeup trial with another vendor, feeling very sensitive and nervous about how hair and makeup with another team would go. After a perfect trial with Heather and Suzy, I was so relieved and confident about working with them on my wedding day. After the trial, I made a last minute change on my hairstyle for the wedding by deciding I wanted a flower crown, and took a leap of faith in hoping that Suzy would be able to help put it on me during a very tight window as a surprise for the ceremony. I mean it to my core when I say that I could not be more elated about how it all turned out. Suzy absolutely crushed it. Heather completely understood what I was asking for and flawlessly executed it. They both listened to my requests and feedback without judgement and did an amazing job. I also really appreciated that they both heard me when I let them know I was introverted and probably would want to use my hair and makeup time as a social battery recharge opportunity rather than engaging. I really felt like they respected this and did not take it personally, and I never had to remind them of it. I even noticed how they adapted their engagement depending on which people in my wedding party they were working on. One of my bridesmaids is much more extroverted and I overheard her having a wonderful conversation with Heather. Another bridesmaid is as introverted as I am and I observed she and Suzy working together in a peaceful environment of mutual respect for the silence. Lastly, I was so impressed with how the makeup and hair turned out for everyone in my wedding party. It truly could not have been a more flawless execution. From a group of women who don’t even own our own mascara, your team ROCKED the subtle “no makeup makeup” look.”

The quality of their work was truly exceptional - the food was absolutely delicious and their team worked incredibly well with all of our other vendors. They even prepared a special tray of apps and our signature drinks for my husband and I so we could take a few moments alone after the ceremony to decompress, and continued to provide drinks and food as needed throughout the entire night. We could not have asked for a better catering experience, and highly recommend Zeffert and Gold to any couple planning their wedding.”

“Sarah and her team were so great! We used them for both our flowers and coordination services. I don’t know much about flowers and Sarah worked with me to figure out what I like. She also GREW THEM HERSELF!! I saw a fully floral arch on Pinterest and she brought that to life (see pics). For coordination and planning she was also so helpful. I texted her all the time with questions and she was very responsive. She also coordinated all the other vendors, confirming things with them and managing all the contracts. I didn’t know how to do this and it felt overwhelming at the end so it was so nice to have it off my plate. The day itself also went off without a hitch!”
