“Booking with Black Tie Entertainment was the best choice we could have made. Our initial call with Matt Johnson to see what services were provided was an extremely thorough and engaging. My husband and I felt so comfortable with the services he recommended and appreciated the time he took to talk through typical timeline for DJs and coordinators leading up to the big day. We booked a DJ and month of coordinator and were wow’d. Our DJ, Chris Laing, was extremely professional in the way he led our introductory and timeline calls. He truly listened to what kind of vibe we wanted for our wedding and executed it perfectly. In the words of my husband, friends, and family, our wedding was lit! Our coordinator Becca Manning was very kind on our introduction call. Unfortunately, there was an error in the system and she was double booked but she found us the most amazing coordinator, Nikki Clark. Black Tie worked to get Nikki into their system so there was minimal impact to my husband and I plus we adored working with Nikki. “JJ did such a fantastic job at our wedding this June! 3 things really stood out about him! 1) Attentive JJ Really paid attention to what I wanted our wedding day and reception to look like. Everything went so smoothly on the day of because he had really paid attention and gone over every detail of the timeline I had typed up. He was so fun and energetic and really got the party going! He customized our playlist too so that all my favorite songs got played at the wedding. 2) Professional Even though he is definitely fun and outgoing, he was very professional in all his text messages and emails and phone calls. He is very personable and friendly, but sticks to what needs to be accomplished. I really appreciated that. 3) Available JJ gave me his cell phone number and email address. He responded to texts within minutes and was very prompt in answering my questions. I honestly didn't realize how important a DJ was for a wedding until I had seen a few go very wrong and get awkward because the DJ messed up the schedule...JJ was fantastic and the night flowed so well because of him! “My daughter recently got married in Newport, Rhode Island, on September 14th, 2024. She choose to have her reception in a tent on the lawn of the Eisenhower House. The venue was stunning and the woman at EH recommended Clockwork as we were looking for a local band with horns to play at the reception. We were not able to hear them in person, but all the video's posted online more than helped our decision making process and we quickly booked the band 20 months in advance, It was our second decision in the wedding process after the venue -with many, many more to come, but without a doubt - IT WAS THE BEST DECISION!!!! Booking was easy - we sent a check to reserve the date. the catalog of music they are capable of playing is extensive. But we had a tremendous comfort level with Clockwork New England as the contract states YOU GET THE EXACT MUSICIANS you see on all the website videos. There are no switches, or long lists of band members they slot in on any given day. Everyone we saw and loved are the people that showed up for our event. From start to finish - the band rocked the night away - the dance floor was never empty. They sang the bride and grooms song 'You are the Best Thing" and it was spectacular. And every song after that just got us up off our feet. The horns added so much - we keep hearing from friends asking us who they were, because they LOVED the music. The interactions with the crowd also made the night so memorable - and some of the best videos of the night. The band worked well together - and we just cannot say enough about how much they added to the party. Patrick joined a zoom call we had w our planner a week or so earlier than the event - and went over every detail - completely putting our minds at ease. 5 stars are NOT ENOUGH!! They truly made our event the best it could have possibly been! I want to do it again!”

“The Hook Club made our wedding dreams come true. My husband is Dominican and I am from New England, and therefore we were looking for a bilingual band that could play a very wide range of music - from American wedding classics, to Pop, to Reggaeton, to Merengue, to Bachata — and a group that could MC the evening in Spanish and English, and bring the energy to keep the party going.  We went with Hook Club’s 7 piece DJ Band, and they were above and beyond fantastic. They curated a setlist that somehow, despite the wide range of music, flowed together and was cohesive. I can’t express enough how talented they are vocally, instrumentally, professionally, and as performers. The dance floor was absolutely lit; even my brother who was on crutches and had a torn labrum couldn’t stay away. It makes me tear up thinking about how much energy, positivity, and happiness they brought to our night — they will always have a special place in our hearts. They are also true professionals - the planning process was easy, they were prompt in all communication, and on the day of they handled venue-related hiccups with grace. They were the first vendor to arrive to ensure a thorough set up, and the last to leave.  They are truly such a special, one of a kind group, and I cannot recommend them enough. Of all the many decisions we made in planning our wedding, choosing THC was by far the best decision of them all. Although our wedding was back in August; our friends and family are still talking about The Hook Club, exlusively referring to them as “ the best wedding band they have ever heard before”. We had a fairly diverse crowd in terms of age, background, taste in music and their ability to please that wide range of people is a testament to their talent. THANK YOU TO THE HOOK CLUB !!!”

“We could not speak more highly of Luvdup DJs! Gemma and her team were amazing throughout the entire process. We needed DJs for three events throughout our wedding festivities. The vibes and music/genres were very unique for each event, but Gemma and the DJs we had for each event knocked it out of the park, far exceeding our expectations (shoutout to Ty, Kelton, and Kevin!). We appreciated how much care and thought was given during the discovery and planning part of the process. Gemma and the DJs took the time to understand our vision and fill in their expertise to whatever degree we wanted, without ever being pushy. This was important to us because for certain events we had a clear and specific vision (pretty much “play this playlist”) and for others we only had a high-level vision of the music/genres. We have to give a special nod to DJ Ty, who was the DJ through the main wedding reception (first dances, speeches, dance party): Ty went above and beyond in all ways. Beyond a superhuman sense of music and DJ’ing, he was humble, helpful, and keenly aware. “This man is magic. Alex was extremely patient with me during the entire planning process knowing it’s very overwhelming trying to narrow down songs to specific moments. Especially when both me and my husband love all different types of music. “Nick and his team were the first vendors we booked once we set our wedding date! We knew we loved his style from my sisters wedding and we HAD to have them apart of our wedding day. He was organized, prepared, communicative, and excited to be part of our celebration from start to finish. Throughout the entire wedding day, Don followed all of our notes and instructions carefully and made sure every song and announcement happened exactly when and how we wanted. He announced everything clearly and timely, kept the flow of the evening running smoothly, and was always attentive to the energy of the room. As a DJ, he was incredible. He played all the songs we wanted while also reading the crowd perfectly and keeping the dance floor packed all night long. He really knew how to match the vibe and keep the energy up throughout the evening. We received so many compliments from our guests about the music and atmosphere. We also loved the photo booth that came with District Remix — it was such a fun addition and a huge hit with everyone. “Marcus DJ'd our wedding this past weekend and he was the best DJ we could ask for! We had an initial consultation with him to align on what we're generally looking for, completed a "worksheet" with all the music and MCing details and any specific songs/playlists we wanted played, and then a final meeting to review the day from top to bottom. Marcus was communicative and easy to reach with any questions during this time. On the day of the wedding, he came several hours ahead of time to set up and prepare. During the wedding, Marcus played all the music from guest arrival to reception exactly how we envisioned, and MC'd all of the entrances, first dances, guest photos, etc. exactly on time and without too much fluff, which is what we wanted. Later, he played a great set of 2010s-2020s EDM and hype guest favorites that got the dance floor lit, and with great mixing and transitions too. Highly recommend Marcus if you're looking for a wedding DJ who's very skilled/experienced and just really knows music (not your average wedding DJ)!”

“Golden Bell traveled to New Orleans to play my wedding, and they put on the set of our dreams. We skipped all of the expected wedding songs and handed them a playlist of all of our favorite disco and funk songs (with a sprinkling of Phish jams) and they delivered an absolutely mind-blowing set. I pretty much missed the rest of my reception because I was on the dance floor All. Night. Long. (Please see photos below of me LOSING MY MIND). Our wedding was 8 months ago (yes, this review is super late) and people are STILL making comments about how good the music at our wedding was. If you are a funk/ disco fan, hire Golden Bell.
