“The Garrison itself is absolutely stunning - even more beautiful in person - and the staff was warm, attentive, and professional throughout. Our guests are still raving about the food, and the entire space came together perfectly for both the ceremony and reception. What really made the day seamless, though, was the team that supported us. Annie, our day-of coordinator, was an absolute godsend. We were juggling unpredictable weather, miscommunications, and a whole lot of last-minute uncertainty, and she handled it all with such calm, measured grace. She kept things on track and gave us the gift of peace of mind - we truly couldn’t have done it without her. Fatima, my bridal assistant, was my right hand from the moment I arrived. She anticipated every need before I even had to ask - always three steps ahead, always composed, always kind. I felt fully taken care of, which is exactly what every bride hopes for. We’re so grateful to the entire team - thank you for making our wedding day so beautiful and so easy to enjoy.”

“We could not be happier with how our wedding turned out at Mountainville Manor. The venue is beautiful, but the real magic is Lauren and James and the rest of the Mountainville Manor team. They were so accommodating and hard working, making our day feel personal and stress free. It was a huge help to have their vendor recommendations as a starting point, and all of the vendors were great too! I have had so many of our guests tell me how much they enjoyed the wedding, especially the food. Someone even told me that the steak was the best they ever had! All of the food was so good. I only hope someone I know decides to get married there so I can experience Mountainville Manor as a guest. It was special to have all of our family and friends in a place that made us feel like family. The day felt easy and fun for us and our guests. Thank you Mountainville Manor!”

“We loved our wedding at ElmRock Inn! The venue is gorgeous and I had the time of my life. Staying onsite was amazing. I highly recommend ElmRock. The chef is fantastic and we will remember our wedding fondly for the rest of our lives. There were a few negatives during our stay, but we are still very glad that we got married at ElmRock. The first negative was that the water in the BnB and carriage house (where bride/groom stayed) kept running out at night. This was pretty annoying, but not a huge issue since the water was usually fine by morning. Second, the venue coordinator was pretty rude throughout the weekend and especially to my family. Many people at the wedding commented about how rude she was (and the fact that she wore white pants to our wedding!). The rest of the staff was nicer, though a couple of the servers were also rude, just not as bad. I expected the staff to be more accommodating and welcoming the entire weekend, but it really felt more like we were getting scolded at times. Lastly, they served my wedding cake really cold and had clearly forgotten to take it out of the fridge to get to room temperature before serving. That was quite frustrating, especially since I heard them talking about how I (the bride) needed to hurry up to start the cake cutting while I was changing, but the cake wasn't even ready! Overall, the venue is gorgeous and we had a lovely time. I think the experience would be improved by some updating to their plumbing and getting a coordinator that's nicer to their customers. The food was AMAZING and the chef is fantastic, just be warned if you're sensitive to people who can be rude/unaccommodating.”

“The second I walked into Novellas when we went for a tour I knew that’s where I wanted to get married. The bridal suite was absolutely gorgeous. There was plenty of room to get ready and relax the morning of our wedding. I was able to connect my phone to the sound system so we could listen to music while we got ready. We had access to the bridal suite throughout the wedding which was great. The outside ceremony and cocktail hour space were both so beautiful. The waterfall is the perfect background for taking photos. When I walked into the reception space I completely fell in love. The chandeliers are stunning and the room just feels luxurious. Bryce, the manager, was phenomenal with communication. I received a response back within a day which was great. He was truly so flexible and there wasn’t much of a limit of things we couldn’t do. I wanted to get on top of the bar and pour shots into our guests mouths and I know it sounds like a crazy idea but you only get one wedding. I told Bryce that’s what I wanted to do and he said I could absolutely do that. That was my favorite part of the night! Novellas also offered the outside space to be used for the after party which was great. We ordered pizza from a local pizzeria and had that delivered and we brought coolers of beer and seltzers and hung outside by the fire pit until 2 in the morning. There are also two hotels that are walkable from Novellas because they essentially share a parking lot. That was also one of the reasons I chose Novellas. I didn’t have to worry about our guests not having a ride home or having to find someone to drive them home. Our guests were able to walk right to their hotel room. Courtney is the day of coordinator and she was absolutely phenomenal! She truly went above and beyond for us. She came to check on me the day of the wedding in the bridal suite multiple times. I was so anxious the morning of that I was just walking back and forth in the venue and I kept apologizing to her and she said whatever I needed to do and I wasn’t in the way. She set up everything for us the day of the wedding and it was absolutely gorgeous. I had given her a list of all the decor I had and where I wanted it and she set everything up just how I envisioned it. She was phenomenal the whole day and she kept everything running smoothly. She was on top of everything. We never had to ask for anything. When we thought of something or we needed something we would turn around and it would always be done or she would have what we needed. After our ceremony, Courtney was waiting with a drink in her hands for us and a smile on her face. This was truly the perfect venue for the best day of our lives.”

“This was the first venue we looked at and we knew right away we needed to get married here. Truly one of the most beautiful ceremony locations I have ever seen. The team was amazing! We forgot the plug for our neon sign and they ran to the store to find a plug that worked. It poured 45 minutes before our ceremony, and the staff let us wait, and then dried everything off at the last minute, which gave us a rainbow at our ceremony. They were so flexible in making the timeline work due to our weather delay. The food was amazing, from the cocktail hour stations, to dinner, and the food at the after party. The venue felt so intimate and personal, we could not have picked a better place. 10000000% recommend!”

“An absolute dream of a wedding venue! I recently got married at FVM in early September and could not recommend more. So many positive things to say… see below! First and foremost, the venue is tucked away in the most charming area of the Hudson Valley, surrounded by beautiful greenery and very well-kept grounds. Our guests not only raved about how gorgeous the space was, but also how fantastic the food was (s/o to the King, Chef Charlie), how the drinks were superb (a wedding essential), and how the staff was super helpful and friendly (thank you FVM team)! However, the true gem behind it all is Kerri—the amazing owner of the venue who also becomes your planner/coordinator and helps make the magic happen! Kerri is the most passionate, hardworking gal in the business. She will LITERALLY do anything and everything to make her couples wedding day a dream. As someone who recently relocated to the west coast and was planning our wedding from afar, Kerri went above and beyond to help make our planning experience seamless. She was super cost-conscious and accommodating, helping customize every element of our day and reflect our true vision. Even when the weather was looking not so good and I was stressing (emphasis on the stress), the FVM team had plans A-Z to ensure the day went on perfectly no matter what. And of course Kerri did everything and more to shuffle some things around so that the whole experience and day of remained seamless. What can’t this woman do?? An extra special shout out to her husband Frank who is the man behind the scenes keeping the space perfectly manicured and gorgeous! And of course kudos to my queen Mia (my personal bridal attendant for the day) who kept me dry from the weather, well fed, and took care of us all night! Final comment: this venue is unlike any venue we toured. It is not only a unique and charming space, but also so personable. In fact, through our venue touring process, FVM stood out as the only one to be so focused and dedicated to your event (vs just being another wedding on their list, booking couples back-to-back-to-back, etc.). Kerri, Frank, and the FVM staff truly have the best hearts and complete emotional ownership to your day, making your wedding experience like no other. The biggest and warmest thank you, thank you, thank you! And look no further for where to have your wedding!”

“Booking with The Wedding Foundry at Liberty View Farm is the best thing my husband and I have ever done. We were looking to have a small intimate wedding, but every venue tour we did still had a 75-100 person minimum and required a large cost requirement for catering. Then I happened upon The Wedding Foundry when researching micro weddings. We had one phone call with Billiam and immediately signed the contract, without even viewing the venue first. As a bride, the fact that they were including the venue, the officiant, photography, florals and catering was the best thing ever. It took so much stress off of me while planning this wedding, as I did not have to run around to different vendors. Billiam and Erica were extremely communicative and really took the time to learn what we were looking for. Day of, Billiam and his day of coordinator Cathy made sure the day ran perfectly. We were absolutely blown away from how beautiful our venue was. The florals they created made our wedding look like a fairy tale. Our guests said it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever been to. Erica was an absolute pro with photography, really taking her time with my husband and I for our portraits. Throughout the night she made sure to capture every moment. Erica sent teasers to us within a week of our wedding and the photos are beautiful. The officiant, Michele, was amazing. She created the most personalized and beautiful ceremony that fit us perfectly. We loved how she included a hand-fasting ceremony as well. Multiple guests approached us to let us know that there was not a single dry eye during our ceremony. The Wedding Foundry truly created our perfect day. We are so happy with our intimate wedding, we had 46 of our closest friends and family and everyone truly enjoyed the day. I highly recommend booking The Wedding Foundry at Liberty View Farm for your intimate wedding.”

“We had the pleasure of having our daughter’s reception at the Inn. We were forced to relocate to their venue because of a gas leak at our original location. 5 hours before the wedding! The entire staff, especially Mary the manager and Matt the bartender went over and above to make sure our reception went well. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful grounds and venue space. If they can do what they did for us in 5 hours. I can only imagine what would have been with 5 months of planning! Thanks again for your attention to detail and hospitality, you saved the day….”

From the start, communication was smooth and responsive - thank you for getting back to us so quickly every step of the way. Our friends and family absolutely loved it, and we were told over and over that it was their favorite wedding they had ever been to! The food was incredible - people are still raving about the shrimp and grits, and honestly, everything was beyond delicious. It all came together perfectly and helped make the night feel so special. Our guests had an amazing time, and we felt so supported and taken care of throughout the planning process. It was truly a joy to work with such a thoughtful, professional team- and to celebrate at such an iconic institution. We're so excited and grateful to now have a lasting connection to THE Phoenicia Diner. Thank you again for making our wedding night our favorite night ever.”

“If you're looking to have the BEST party of your life, you need to host it at Mod House. We had an 'official' wedding after-party at Mod House this August - and could not have been more overjoyed and impressed with Nick the Mod House fam! The house is two levels of insane attention to retro detail, full of nooks & crannies for people to explore - the lounge, the speakeasy, the 'tarot' room - every part of the house is incredible. Truly. Nick especially was incredibly accommodating to our quirky ideas, and was extremely proactive and responsive throughout the whole planning process. He gave us vendor ideas (go book the Karaoke Boys!!), the bartenders were on point, cocktails delightful. It truly felt like hosting a swanky soiree in our home (actually Nick's home). All of our guests said it was the best after-party they've ever been to! We'd have to agree. Cannot thank Nick Mod House enough. We'll be back for another party, this time as members of Love, Velma :)”

“We had the most amazing time at Diamond Mills Hotel! The venue is BEAUTIFUL, and the staff is wonderful to work with. My husband and I also loved exploring Saugerties! Planning a wedding in two months was challenging, but booking Diamond Mills for our wedding venue was the best decision ever! We loved working with Stephanie, Carrie, and Brianne. They are highly organized and professional. Our wedding day was truly magical! Our guests had a wonderful time! We also really appreciate how the staff working on the day of our wedding ensured that my husband and I ate well (and remembered to eat as we interacted with our guests). The food served was delicious and we loved our wedding cake! Another great thing about booking the wedding at Diamond Mills is that the hotel is attached to the wedding venue - it was very convenient for us and our guests! We received a good discount for our hotel block. The wedding package they offer at Diamond Mills Hotel is truly well-rounded! Beautiful venue with indoor and outdoor spaces, catering, open bar, wedding cake, and supportive and amazing staff to help you plan your wedding and ensure that everything runs smoothly during the day of the wedding all for a reasonable price! I used some rental decorations, and the staff made sure to carefully pack everything at the end of the night, so shipping and packing up the following day was easy! We highly recommend Diamond Mills!”

“My partner and I planned a wedding in less than 6 months at Buttermilk Falls. From the minute we stepped on the property, we knew we loved it. The grounds are so well kept, the event planners and staff are so friendly! There are several options for your big day and no hidden fees when working with the folks here. Our event planner Morgan was phenomenal. She kept us on track, checking in regularly and responding in a timely manner to our every small question. Once the time came for our wedding weekend, Buttermilk Falls exceeded our expectations. Our families loved our welcome event with freshly made pizza and the best charcuterie. The kids in our family loved exploring the grounds and seeing all the animals. Our wedding day was magical despite it raining precisely during our outdoor ceremony, and the barn was the perfect spot for our group of 75 to eat, drink, and dance the night away! THE FOOD AT BUTTERMILK FALLS IS ALSO PHENOMENAL. Truly cannot be said enough. The ingredients are fresh, the menus are thoughtful and the staff is incredible. I highly recommend this venue and would absolutely plan a wedding here again if I had to do it over. You will not be disappointed!”

Locust Grove only schedules one event each evening, so you and your guests are assured privacy.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Has an energetic and exciting atmosphere
  • Natural elegance with open spaces
  • Raw space for complete customization

Venue considerations

  • Limited cleanup and setup services
  • No built-in audiovisual options
  • No all-inclusive dining options
“Booking Locust Grove Estate was the best decision I made during wedding planning. The venue is stunning and yet so affordable. Locust Grove provides the space, the arch, and the chairs, but does not require you to book with their preferred vendors. Because of this, you can design your day exactly as you want it to be and within your own budget. We got so many compliments on the location, which is a Hudson Valley oasis nestled in Poughkeepsie, with beautiful gardens and views of the Hudson river. You get the best of both worlds with Locust Grove because your ceremony can be outside but the reception space is indoors and has AC. There is a Courtyard Marriott next door and a walking path connects the two properties, which was super convenient for our guests and saved us the expense of providing transportation. I could not recommend Locust Grove Estate enough!”

“Magnanini is the most beautiful place to have your wedding! The day my husband and I toured it to check out venues, we were in awe of how lovely the grounds are. The price point was very reasonable too, especially compared to some other Hudson valley wineries. Courtney was very helpful during the planning process and helped us write our initial day-of timeline a few months before the big day. Having her and seeing she knew exactly what she was doing decreased my planning anxiety so much! My girls and I got ready in their cabin in the morning, then my husband and I got to stay there that night (included). Courtney made sure we were doing well all morning, even while she was setting up the whole reception for us. They have several options for where you’d like your ceremony, all so lovely. We chose the garden. The one thing I’ll say we wouldn’t have added on was the wine tasting during cocktail hour, our guests didn’t know about it so no one really used it. The food was amazing, bartenders were great, and everything turned out the way we planned. If you’re looking for a romantic winery setting, Magnanini is the place to go!”

“We were so lucky to celebrate our wedding at A Private Estate, and it truly exceeded all of our expectations. When we were searching for a venue, we visited A Private Estate in the depth of winter during a snowstorm, but even then, we immediately knew it was the perfect place for us. Ripley, the owner, was friendly and direct, and it was clear she genuinely cared about making sure people had an amazing experience. The property was beautifully maintained, and the convenience of having the Carriage House accommodation along with the barn for the reception made it a much better value than most other venues we considered. We chose to have our ceremony outside, overlooking the Hudson River, which created a breathtaking and peaceful setting for our vows. The manor house made for a stunning backdrop for our family photos, adding a touch of elegance to the day. We held our reception in the barn, which we highly recommend to other couples. The rustic charm of the space, combined with the elegance of the estate, created the perfect atmosphere for our celebration. Our mid-August wedding was made even more memorable by the beauty and ambiance of the setting. The property manager, Jack, went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. Not only did he assist us with practical matters, like putting up blinds in the Carriage House to help our family members' kids sleep, but he also saved the day when a special bottle of wine we had intended to keep was accidentally thrown out by the caterers. Jack took it upon himself to dig it up and return it to us—an act of kindness we won’t forget. We are incredibly grateful for the hospitality and attention to detail from both Jack and Ripley. If you're looking for a venue that combines beauty with exceptional service, we wholeheartedly recommend A Private Estate.”

“Choosing to have our wedding at Camp Timber Lake was probably the single most important decision we made during the planning process. The camp setting gave us the opportunity to create something far more immersive, personal, and joyful than we had imagined, and the camp / Gatheround staff and everyone involved in the planning process gave us the ability to execute on making all our dreams come true! In the months leading up to the wedding, we worked closely with Will, who was incredibly friendly, responsive, and on top of every detail. He always made time to talk through our many questions and helped accommodate some of our more unconventional requests—from having Camp Timber Lake cater our Sunday reception dinner (which we highly recommend!) to brainstorming the best locations for a nighttime game of kick the can. The camp itself is absolutely beautiful and was perfectly manicured for our arrival. There were endless activities for our guests to enjoy, and the staff placed sports equipment throughout the property so everyone could immediately jump into whatever interested them. Our guests had so much fun exploring the grounds, tossing frisbees and footballs, shooting hoops, and making the camp their own for the weekend. The staff including Reggie, Scott, Liz, Willow, Marcie, and so many others, were AMAZING. They were warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making the weekend special. Scott and Liz stayed on top of every detail, and the entire team continually went above and beyond to make our guests feel welcome and cared for. When one of our guests lost her phone in the dining hall after hours, the team turned the lights back on and helped her search for it. After she mentioned that she was having trouble turning on the heat in her cabin, they walked over to help, then returned 15 minutes later with brownies and ice cream for her and her cabin-mates as a nice surprise. Another favorite moment happened on the dance floor Saturday night. We had brought bubble guns but realized too late that they required batteries we didn’t have. We’d given up on using them, but when Willow (one of the camp staff) overheard a friend say, “I wish we had batteries for these bubble guns.” he went and tracked down batteries from TV remotes around the camp on his own accord and got the bubble guns working. They ended up being a huge hit! Moments like these, and so many others, made us feel completely at home and made our guests feel incredibly well cared for. The food was also outstanding. We received rave reviews about every meal. The team went out of its way to accommodate dietary preferences and restrictions, providing hearty vegan and vegetarian options at every meal. They even prepared a special plate every meal for my mom, who has an autoimmune disorder that prevents her from eating most spices. The team also decorated dishes with edible flowers and made everything look beautiful. For our reception dinner on the final night, they even came up with the idea of displaying leftover Boy Scout patches from one of our weekend activities along the buffet counter. It was the perfect thoughtful touch. We had multiple guests tell us that this was their favorite wedding they had ever attended, and Camp Timber Lake (and the wonderful people who run it) were a huge reason why. Thank you for giving us and our guests such a magical, joyful, and unforgettable weekend. It truly was the best weekend of our lives! Can’t recommend this wedding venue enough!”

“My husband and I got married at Hotel Lilien last September and the entire weekend exceeded our wildest expectations. Coordinating with Daniel and Jules was excellent throughout the entire process and they responded timely with answers, solutions, and suggestions. The staff was very flexible and was able to adapt to decisions that were made the week before based on weather. Throughout our entire stay they were extremely attentive and helpful with all requests, specifically Chris, Jason, Anthony, and Kiera. They really made our weekend perfect. Each room was pristine when we arrived and every single attendee mentioned how much they loved the accommodations. The food was also amazing, people couldn’t stop talking about the grilled cheese, tomato soup, and charcuterie/burrata boards. Looking back on our wedding as a whole, choosing Hotel Lilien was the perfect decision and we are so grateful for their entire staff making the whole experience so magical. The hotel has so much history and the original owner’s daughter, Meta Lilienthal, has a personal memoir called Dear Remembered World and the book describes her life in both Manhattan and Upstate back in the 1890s. While the property is now a hotel, the new owners have managed to expertly craft an environment that makes you feel right at home. Couldn’t recommend more!”

Tim the Banquet manager was always around ready to make sure it all ran smoothly. Ryan the lift operations manager kept Brittany updated on the weather day of and when it didn’t look good at the bottom he drove up to make sure he truly had say no to us going to the summit (it was 30 degrees with 45 kt winds) he and his crew opened the lift for 2 hours the next day so we could still get our summit pictures and they all had smiles on their faces. “The Outlier Inn is truly one-of-a-kind, offering so much more than your typical wedding venue. From the start, we knew it was something special. One of our favorite aspects was being able to bring all of our loved ones together in one place for the entire weekend, creating a unique experience where our family and friends were “trapped” in the best way—celebrating and bonding without distractions. If you’re someone who loves to party under the stars, and you enjoy envisioning and creating fun, personalized spaces, this is the venue for you. The property itself is a hidden gem, full of surprises at every turn. There’s so much to explore, from the charming tiny houses scattered throughout, to the inviting homemade hot tub and peaceful sauna, to the quirky hidden thrift shop/barn. We held our ceremony in the newly added amphitheater nestled in the woods—an intimate space surrounded by towering trees, creating a perfect natural backdrop for our vows. We were lucky with beautiful September weather, and the sound of our friends laughing and exploring the grounds will forever be a cherished memory. Josh, the owner of The Outlier, truly made the entire experience unforgettable. From the moment we met him, we knew this was “our” place. He is warm, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating. During our first tour of the property, Josh even let us bottle-feed his adorable baby goat, “Frip”—a moment that will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Leading up to the wedding, Josh was always available to offer guidance and advice, and throughout the weekend, his calm presence was a steady source of reassurance. Whether he was setting up bonfires, handling speakers and microphones, or just checking in on us, Josh ensured everything ran smoothly, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in every moment of our celebration. The only downside to having our wedding at The Outlier Inn is that we almost want to keep it a secret—it’s so magical, we’d love to keep it all to ourselves! But in all honesty, The Outlier Inn is an extraordinary venue, and we can’t imagine getting married anywhere else. Thank you, Josh, for making our weekend so unforgettable!”
