Hummingbird Hall was the perfect place for our wedding. The photos are gorgeous but the warmth and atmosphere really have to be experienced in person to fully appreciate. Walking down the aisle felt magical! After the ceremony we did cocktail hour/apps in the lower level, dinner in the backyard, and we rearranged the ceremony space for a dance floor while my brother in law played music on the stage. We had 65 guests which felt just right for the space but it could definitely accommodate more (if using the backyard or upstairs/main level for dinner. I’ve seen several photos of groups having dinner in the lower level but that would have been very tight for our group) Diana was incredibly easy to work with, as were her recommended vendors (shoutout Boots & Barrel bartending and Dash of Darling rentals!) She was very accommodating when it came to any extra requests I had, and when the weather started acting up she was very flexible and let us set up our event tent early. Overall, we had a great experience and hope to have another event there someday!!

Gorges Beer Co. was the perfect wedding venue for our special day. Their communication style was effortless, clear, and seamless throughout the entire planning process. The quality of their work and the value they provided was truly beautiful, spacious, and elegant. Kelli and Travis were excellent at answering all of my (many) questions, and they put together the most beautiful space for the most beautiful day. The views from the venue were to die for, and the bar set up outside was incredible. They made my storybook fantasy wedding real, and I wish I could relive the day over and over again. Possibly the best decision we made during our wedding process (aside from getting married), was choosing this venue. We were able to rent and use 3 locations throughout the weekend (Pavilion, House 3, and Thunder Island), and each was accommodating and gorgeous in its own way. The ease of having everything from welcome night, rehearsal, ceremony, and reception in the same spot made our logistics 10 times easier. Lots of wedding venues are gorgeous, but what sets the Locks apart is their this place is that they are truly flexible and hospitable. They will actually listen and try to make anything work for you! We had 200 guests so we really pushed the capacity, and the team worked flawlessly to make sure we got what we needed. Jeanetta (the manager) offered so much helpful perspective, was easy to reach and communicate with, and went the extra mile, even helping us put up and take down lights, bringing her personal tools. It felt like showing off the PNW to our east coast and Midwest guests. They were blown away, and so were we. If you want a low-stress, high-flexibility, and completely stunning outdoor wedding, this is the spot. Hidden gem for sure.

We could not have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, Maddy Engelsman and the Mt. Hood Meadows team were extremely flexible and accommodating. They worked with us, not against us, through every detail — and we never once felt nickeled or dimed. We’d heard horror stories from friends about other venues, but our wedding could not have gone smoother. The staff was professional, kind, and genuinely cared about making the day special. The food absolutely blew our expectations — easily some of the best we’ve ever had at a wedding. If you treat the team well, they treat you well right back. You can tell they love what they do, and it shows in how effortlessly everything came together. We’re so grateful we chose Mt. Hood Meadows — it was truly the best weekend of our lives. — Meg & Ryker

The gorgeous golf course backdrop of The Aerie showcases our French chateau-style facility set among majestic oak trees and floral gardens. The stunning panoramic views and sunsets can be enjoyed from the ballroom and outdoor spaces. The Aerie provides a variety of venues for weddings year-round.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Natural elegance with open spaces

  • Flexible event spaces

Venue considerations

  • Best for events with big guest lists
  • No on-site guest accommodations
  • Not for you if you are drawn to more unconventional venues
My partner and I looked at a couple of wedding venues in the first stages of planning, and once we visited the Aerie we knew immediately it was the right fit. We rented The Cave - their smaller outdoor venue - and it fit our vision for the day perfectly. It felt rustic and secluded without having to drive an hour outside of Portland, and it was simply gorgeous. Natasha who we worked with for the year in the lead up was phenomenal - we felt listened to and taken care of with her. We're so happy to have had our special day at the Aerie!!

We absolutely loved having our 55-person wedding at Bar Carlo. The owner Mel is at the same time very supportive and very low-key, which made for a smooth planning process and day-of event. The space is gorgeous, and has multiple connected wings, which allowed for the the party to morph seamlessly over the night from barside cocktail hour to outdoor patio ceremony to dinner buffet to dance floor. The space is already a beautifully decorated artwork, and Mel lets you decide how to arrange the space for your event, but you can also bring your own decorations/sound system/llama and she can handle those additions easily. The food and drinks were delicious too, and Mel was able to accommodate our entirely vegan and gluten-free menu without hesitation. Overall we loved the unique-ness, flexibility and good vibes of the space and the people of Bar Carlo, and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a cute and fun space for their wedding or other event. -Nicola & Lou

There are so many amazing venues in our area, but finding one that has been created with such care and attention to detail and experience can be a bit more challenging. This property offers so much variety for both indoor and outdoor locations, and every single one is picture perfect. The indoor options all have tons of natural light, and great lay-outs. The entire indoor-outdoor flow is also very well planned, between all the buildings, and outdoor spaces. As a photographer, I often wonder why venues are laid out the way they are when it comes to the position of the sun, timing of ceremony, best sunset lighting, etc etc. But even the gorgeous outdoor lawn under the ancient tree is in the most scenic spot for perfect light. A photographer's true dream venue for sure! And I haven't even mentioned how kind and attentive the owners are yet! They will feel like your best friends for the day, and will help however they can to make your vision come to life. It's clear that Redland Family Farm is a project of love, and I can't wait to visit again and photograph more events there!

They communicated promptly about details and last minute changes, which we really appreciated during such a hectic time. The location right on the water was beautiful and made for a romantic backdrop. Our guests raved about the delicious meal and many said it was one of the best wedding dinners they had enjoyed. The space itself was elegant yet comfortable, with large windows to showcase the views and a great dance floor. We had a whimsical disco wedding—equal parts heartfelt and unhinged—and The Jupiter NEXT was the only place that could have held it all. This wasn’t just a venue for us. The Jupiter has always been our go-to spot whenever we’re in Portland. It’s where we’ve stayed with friends over the years and made some of our favorite memories. Getting married there felt like a wedding and a reunion wrapped into one—layered, personal, and completely us. The indoor space transformed effortlessly throughout the night. We had 130 guests and still managed to fit speeches, dancing, crafts, sequins, jumpsuits, a cocktail bar, a cozy lounge, a ping pong table, and an unreasonable amount of hugging and crying—without ever feeling cramped. And not having to transport anyone? Incredible. The ability to just take the elevator to our wedding or bump into friends in the lobby all week made everything feel more connected and intimate. Callie guided us through planning with such a calm, grounded energy. She helped us think through layout and flow, coordinated with vendors, and just made everything feel possible. She was kind, thoughtful, and quietly excellent at solving problems before we ever saw them. Fernando, our day-of coordinator, absolutely crushed it. He kept everything moving, handled our disco-dinosaur energy like a pro, and made space for us to actually enjoy the day. He was organized, hilarious, and totally unflappable. We also stayed at the hotel all week with our two chihuahuas, and the staff could not have been more wonderful. We basically took over the place with guests and shenanigans, and they didn’t just put up with it—they made us feel like part of the family. Thoughtful, kind, and always one step ahead. The Jupiter NEXT gave us space to fully be ourselves and throw a joyful, weird, deeply meaningful celebration. It wasn’t just a venue—it was home for one of the best weeks of our lives.
