I love my job. For me, it’s kind of two-fold. One amazing part of the job is knowing that you are part of a couple’s most memorable day of their life—and assuming it goes well, they will remember you for it for the rest of their life. The other part is that I get to run a business and listen to music—two of my deepest passions. So running a DJ company mashes it all together in one great package.

Hiring DJ Benni as our wedding DJ was the best decision we made for our wedding! Benni was a game-changer for our special day! From the first consultation to monthly check-in’s, it was clear we were in expert hands. We shared our vision and DJ Benni shared his thoughts based on the weddings he has DJ for, and he saved us on making some big mistakes as we are new to this. His professionalism and attention to detail were impeccable. Benni let us customize as much or as little as we wanted and would constantly encourage us to do what we want and not cave to “wedding norms”. We ended up having a classical version of Lord of the Rings as the processional and Top Gun Theme song as the recessional, our dog was our flower girl, and DJ Benni rocked every step of the way! We had a tool to help us build out the timeline/flow of our wedding from start to finish. This allowed our DJ to know exactly what to do, and when. And in the case of an emergency if our DJ couldn’t make it, a sub could step in and execute. Which allowed me (bride) and the groom to enjoy the evening and not think about logistics. DJ Benni was also very flexible and easily adjusted on the fly for a few things too. The dance floor was always full, and DJ Benni played banger after banger! He asked us to create and share a playlist with songs we wanted played, the more the merrier, and to note our top ten “must play” songs. From there, he was able to understand the vibe we wanted, and he found songs that we didn’t think of that were major hits! My shy 10-year-old cousin was dancing and having the time of his life, and DJ Benni gave him his contact info and told him to call if he ever wanted to DJ. My cousin was over the moon and had the time of his life. DJ Benni also skillfully read the room, adjusting the music to keep the energy high throughout the night. The sound quality was top-notch, and the equipment setup was sleek and unobtrusive. They also provided excellent MC services, making smooth transitions between ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, speeches, and dancing. His enthusiasm and charisma added an extra layer of excitement, making our wedding reception unforgettable. We received numerous compliments from our guests about the fantastic music and vibrant atmosphere. If you want a memorable wedding celebration, hiring DJ Benni is a must!

We absolutely loved having our 55-person wedding at Bar Carlo. The owner Mel is at the same time very supportive and very low-key, which made for a smooth planning process and day-of event. The space is gorgeous, and has multiple connected wings, which allowed for the the party to morph seamlessly over the night from barside cocktail hour to outdoor patio ceremony to dinner buffet to dance floor. The space is already a beautifully decorated artwork, and Mel lets you decide how to arrange the space for your event, but you can also bring your own decorations/sound system/llama and she can handle those additions easily. The food and drinks were delicious too, and Mel was able to accommodate our entirely vegan and gluten-free menu without hesitation. Overall we loved the unique-ness, flexibility and good vibes of the space and the people of Bar Carlo, and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a cute and fun space for their wedding or other event. -Nicola & Lou

I absolutely loved the outcome of our florals with Kvetka! We had a micro wedding so we just needed two large bouquets, a bridal bouquet and a boutonnière and everything they created was stunning. I didn’t have much of an initial vision so I asked her to throw something together to match the colors and vibes of the venue and the team did incredible! Would recommend to anyone, for a wedding or for other events!

JR Music Collective got its start with the simple idea of live music and DJ service from one vendor caught on across the region and the company began adding more musician/DJs to its roster. Oregon Bride Magazine first recognized JR Music Collective with an award in 2013. The collective has gone on to win awards every year since. We have a talented group of musicians and DJs waiting to make your day wonderful.

JR Music Collective made our music planning process so easy with their detailed questionnaire. The day of the wedding, our DJ / musician (Kelly) arrived on time and got all set up, making this process stress-free for my fiance and I. If I were to to this all again, I’d choose JR Music Collective again!

If I could tell you to do one thing for your wedding or event, I’d tell you to hire Jared from pure vision entertainment as your DJ. Seriously. Jared not only took the time to get to know my now husband and I but he curated our whole wedding to fit our likes, dislikes, personality, and vibes. When I tell you I still have people talking about our DJ weeks after the wedding, you’d be shocked at how many people are still making comments about how incredible Jared was. I will never forget my older brother coming up to me while I was dancing the night away at our wedding and saying “You seriously hit the jackpot with this DJ, the way he has put everything together is insane.” And the reason I will remember that moment forever is because I was thinking the same thing the about entire night. Jared made sure all the guests knew what was going on, he communicated so well so no one was out of the loop on what to do next. I told Jared all the things that were really important to me in our meetings prior to the wedding and not only did he make those moments amazing, he went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make them absolutely perfect. His whole set up was so good. It’s hard to say when it comes to sound, music, and microphones that there were no hiccups or mishaps but with Jared at my wedding there truly was nothing that could’ve gone better than it did. My wedding day was perfect and I attribute a HUGE part of that to Jared and the way he carried the whole day. Jared even took the time to get to know the guests and my family and that was so special to me. I’m going to end this again by saying, if I could tell you do to one thing for your wedding day or event… HIRE JARED from PVE, I cannot stress enough how incredible he was and all the extra details and time he put in to making our day so perfect and memorable. Thank you Jared! We appreciate you so much!! -Simon & Aliyah

YPB was simply the single-best decision we could have made for our wedding. Our planner, Katelyn Evans, EXCELLED at: (1) Coordinating and managing our vendors, both local and not-at-all local (2) Understanding our vision and transforming it into reality (3) Navigating the complexities of a South Asian wedding (along with the specific needs for our families) Early on in our wedding planning journey, we got quickly overwhelmed, especially because we were not nearby to our wedding destination. Katelyn hit the ground running with us from day one. She was our boots on the ground, meeting with vendors in person when needed and was an expert in keeping things moving no matter what the action item was, big or small. A few particular difficulties that Katelyn navigated expertly: (1) We struggled to pull together the decor based off our wedding vision. Katelyn realized that one decor vendor was not meeting our needs and worked overtime to pull together an order sheet that pulled decor from multiple vendors that matched our vision perfectly AND cut our decor costs by half. (2) Katelyn accommodated our parents needs down to even the smallest requests, like making sweets available to guests at auspicious moments during the wedding weekend and even helping coordinate dinners outside of the wedding itself. (3) Katelyn pulled together last-minute needs during the wedding weekend without a sweat, such as setting up umbrellas to provide shade during the wedding ceremony or last-minute hotel room booking adjustments. The result was a multi-day South Asian wedding that was even better in real life than we could have dreamed of. Our guests LOVED (1) the decor, (2) the food, and (3) how organized and thoughtful each event was. Throughout the entire wedding journey, Katelyn remained extremely receptive to changes, incredibly attentive to detail, and our biggest friend and advocate. We absolutely could not have had a wedding as sophisticated and beautiful without Katelyn Evans and the YPB crew! - Shishir & Priya

I am a Portland native through and through! My love for photography rivals only my love of traveling. My interest in photography began at a young age, thanks to my Uncle and 8th grade math teacher. After over 18 years of experience, I have mastered the art of putting my clients at ease and creating an environment for them to be present and most importantly be themselves. I have a deep passion for not only the images I create but for the people I work with. I truly consider it an honor to be a part of someone’s wedding day and the images we create together become reflective memories for the couple, not just snapshots in time.

Our wedding was this past Saturday (06.13.2026) at Wind Mountain Ranch and Brooke and the Luxe team absolutely exceeded expectations. Although the investment felt steep at times during planning, it was well worth the cost. Brooke navigated all the fine details, helped flawlessly coordinate the best vendors, and made an amazing day absolutely magical. She helped move things along in the planning process when things got stressful and was even able to manage my mother who had differing design opinions and direction to create something we were both happy with. She listened to everything we wanted, helped us stay in budget, and executed a detailed agenda with grace. Luxe is the real deal and the event ended up better than I could have dreamed of. On top of all of that, Brooke even sent some photos and videos via text following the wedding which I appreciated so much as we await the professional shots. Absolutely 1000% would recommend the Luxe team for your wedding and events! Photos by Summer Grace Photography

I've had many Alchemy Desserts treats but my memorable experience is my first. I had a million ideas and a message I couldn't quite figure out how to get across. Unfortunately, I am also painfully indecisive and an anxious people pleaser. The cake had to be perfect and I had no idea what I was doing. The kindness and patience I experienced was enough to make me a loyal customer. But the cake oh my goooood the cake. The flavor combinations, texture, and consistency were all so spot on. I am not proud of the amount of cake I consumed but it was absolutely worth it. There is always special attention to ensure your cake, pastry, or other delicious treats is never overpoweringly sweet, with I personally appreciate. Working with Brandi at Alchemy Desserts means that you're going to work with someone who really cares about whatever you're trying to celebrate. 10/10

Hi! My name is Anna Soco (she/her) and I'm the PNW's premiere Queer wedding officiant and believer in love. My work is rooted in the belief that love is alive, communal, and transformative - and because of that, your wedding ceremony should be, too! I work with soulmates of all kinds to create ceremonies that reflect what truly matters most to you. My clients (y'all!) are my "co" - each new client relationship is an opportunity to learn more about love, together. I adore, appreciate, and learn from each and every one of you. And I never quit rooting for my couples!

We chose Anna (Soco & Co) to officiate our wedding and couldn't have made a better decision! From our first conversation, we felt at ease because of her empathetic approach and genuine interest in getting to know us as a couple. She helped calm our nerves during the vow reading and helped make everything run smoothly. What really stood out was how she told our love story during the ceremony, it felt so authentic and heartfelt that several guests said they felt like she had known us for years. Her articulate delivery and engaging presence made the whole ceremony feel personal and special. We're forever grateful to have had her be such an important part of our day!

We got married at The Troutdale House By The Sandy River and it was the best choice we could have made. From our first conversation, the team was responsive and genuinely kind, making the entire planning process feel easy and stress-free. What really impressed us was their flexibility—when we wanted to change things on the wedding day itself, they rolled with it and made everything work seamlessly. The venue is stunning, with beautiful grounds and such a charming atmosphere that our guests couldn't stop talking about it. The value we got for what we paid was truly outstanding. Honestly, I would get married there again in a heartbeat.

If you are reading this, this is your sign to hire Lauren of Love Bug Pictures for your big day! I have a lot to say so I've split this review into 3 parts: 1. Lauren's Talent and Professional Background I am a filmmaker and have an MFA in Film and Television Production from the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts. As shooting my own wedding seemed like not a realistic option, I began my search online for that special someone. We didn't want some cheesy video of us we would cringe to watch, we wanted something fun, poetic, energizing...something that captures our spirit and excitement as our new family carves our own path. I searched and I searched through many a teary-eyed traditional "I do" before stumbling onto Lauren's work. When I was searching for someone to capture our wedding, I wanted someone who not only had talent, but who had that "thing." That special sauce of vision, creativity, humour, and excellent vibes. In a wedding-obsessed culture, I wanted someone who saw the humanity in it all – the mess, the chaos, the humour, the real-lifeness. Lauren is the whole package. Not only is she a blast to work with, but she also has a passion for storytelling, which shines through in her incredible body of work. She has a background in documentary film and truly knows her stuff. Her eye for capturing real moments and weaving them into a story is beautiful, touching, and often hilarious. 2. Our experience with Lauren Our relationship with Lauren went the distance! As many a pandemic wedding couple experienced, our wedding date was postponed. Lauren was incredibly flexible and gracious and worked with us as we found our new date, a year later. Beyond that, Lauren brought her unique vision and shared our excitement. Lauren truly BROUGHT IT on our wedding weekend. She is energetic, observant, self-sufficient, and an absolute pleasure to be around. Technically, she is also skilled: Lauren had a drone, a Super 8 Camera, her own lighting and audio set up...list goes on. Let's just say I was very impressed. With Lauren and her camera around, I felt like we were in super good hands (and as I am a film micro-manager and true creative I felt I could relinquish creative control to Lauren and that all would be okay). Trusting Lauren to do her own thing was the best thing and we were rewarded by this trust, because our video is spectacular. 3. The final video I sometimes watch the film Lauren made and just stare at it in awe. I can't believe it's our video. It's so perfect in every way. From the music, to the edits, all of it is superb. Do yourself a favour and book Lauren and tell her Paisley sent ya! :)

Andy! I just realized I never left my review for you!! Andy helped us plan our wedding for 2024 at Mt. Hood Skibowl. And holy cow, if you need a wedding planner PLEASE hire her. Our wedding was so smooth and she was so professional the whole process. If you are hesitant to get a planner, I could not recommend doing so and using her services enough. I genuinely do not think our wedding would have been as amazing as it was without her and her team. Her organization was top notch, she communicated with all of our vendors, and kept everyone in line throughout the day and months leading up to our wedding. My favorite thing she said leading up to our day was “my couples always eat and I make sure of that.” While that may seem silly to think of, reflecting back on it, that phrase demonstrates true care for her clients and passion for this industry. Weddings can feel commercialized and feel disingenuous at times. Andy ensured that wasn’t the case and we had the most amazing day to last for the rest of our lives. A huge thank you from the Marshes!!!

Hello! I'm Robert. This is me. Let me tell you a bit about who I am and what I do. Love for photography, I am very passionate about working with my camera. If I am creating a little photo for myself that is never seen publicly or a project for a client, I put everything I have into making the photography I create as best I possibly can. Every click of the shudder is an opportunity for creating amazing photography. Every photo-shoot has options for photographs waiting to be found. Solving these puzzles with my camera and lighting is a lot of fun for me. I believe you can see that also. That's why you are here looking at my work now.

Robert is fabulous to work with, our photos are wonderful and we could not be happier.

There is also lovely landscaping around the immediate building that provides a variety of backdrop options for photos. Peninsula Park is only a couple of blocks away as well. The space itself is incredibly versatile and can be transformed to fit any couple's vision. I have photographed several events here and always excited to go back. Anthony is a licensed attorney who started officiating weddings in Oregon as a Judge (hence our company’s former name, The Wedding Judge). Matrimony Northwest has expanded in the 15 years since Anthony officiated his first wedding and has added two additional officiants—Emily and Henry. The three of them have officiated thousands of weddings in the Pacific Northwest in all different types of venues - back yards, courtrooms, coffee shops, beaches, mountain vistas, and more. Anthony is only the second person to have officiated a wedding in the Oregon State Capitol Building, and the only person to do so in modern times.

We could not have asked for a better officiant (Anthony)! From the very beginning, he made us feel comfortable and truly took the time to understand who we are as a couple. The ceremony was everything we dreamed of… heartfelt, personal, and perfectly balanced with just the right touch of humor and warmth. Our guests are still telling us how beautiful and meaningful the ceremony was, and we owe that to the care, professionalism, and genuine kindness of our officiant. He captured our story in such a special way and set the perfect tone for the day. We are beyond grateful and would recommend him a million times over!
