Hello! My name is Catelyn =) I've been a hairdresser, wig maker and makeup artist since 2007 and have been doing bridal hair and makeup throughout my career. Creating a wedding day look is something I believe to be a nuanced, intimate moment in time that I am honored to share with each individual. Whether you're hoping to express the most authentic version of yourself, play with a style you always wanted but never found the right occasion, or simply achieve an elevated level of your everyday look, I am here to guide you through the process with ease.

Prior to the wedding day, we will get together to explore ideas and inspiration for your look. This will include full hair and makeup application along with casual photos in natural light so we may have documentation and reference as to how you will appear on camera. When the wedding day comes, I will be on location to perfect the look we practiced and send you off ready for the big day!

When beginning my hunt for a wedding hair & makeup artist for my June 2026 wedding, it seemed impossible to choose. While Portland is full of amazing artists, I was seeking out someone to fulfill a specific vision - with a specialty in vintage hair and makeup. Finding Catelyn was easily one of the best parts within my entire planning process. After my first trial, I had a few tweaks I wanted to make. Catelyn was welcoming, warm, and so easy to collaborate with. When she arrived to the bridal suite on the morning of the wedding, her presence was so comforting and calm. On a day where it truly matters who you surround yourself with, I was so grateful to have her with us. She did full hair and makeup looks for myself, my mom, and sister. She accommodated three different visions and preferences, skin types, and ages. I can honestly say I have never felt more beautiful in my life, and I'm so happy Catelyn is a huge part of my memories from that day. Her calming presence and the magic she created I will cherish forever.

The BEST possible experience!
I don't even know where to start, talking about how wonderful Catelyn is. She is truly the most wonderful spirit. I worked with her three times (trial, my ceremony, and my reception a few days later) and each time I left feeling refreshed and gorgeous. Her work is also immaculate. Want something traditional and "bridal?" She has you covered. Want something fun and sassy? Also covered. She is intuitively good at working with your hair and your facial structure and her color theory is immaculate. I wish I had another event to utilize her services. I may just get my makeup done for my birthday!

A dream!
Catelyn helped me plan and execute two fully unique hair and makeup looks for my wedding events. I had only a loose idea of what I wanted to do, and she effortlessly helped develop and test the full concepts and executed them beautifully on both days. Beyond her incredible skill, she was professional and warm, making me feel completely safe and comfortable in those joyful but at times stressful moments. She also worked with several of my family members and friends over the two days, and everyone walked away feeling not only beautiful but like their preferences were truly heard and honored. Anyone would be so lucky to get to work with Catelyn!

Absolutely incredible
Catelyn is hands down the best. I knew right from the start that she was the best HMUA I could've chosen for my wedding. On the day of, Catelyn & her second stylist (we had a lot of people) were prompt, professional, fun, and amazing at their craft. Everyone's makeup lasted the entire night! I'm a sweaty gal and I cried through the whole ceremony, and you couldn't even tell. I also wore a hat later in the evening and Catelyn styled my hair in such a way that it looked fantastic with and without it. The entire bridal party had only positive things to say and the next time anyone I know needs a hair or makeup artist, I'm sending them her way. On top of being incredibly skilled at her craft, Catelyn is just a lovely human being and I trusted and loved her immediately. 10 outta 10. 100 outta 100. Highly recommend

I don’t even know how to begin. Caitlyn’s work on my hair and makeup was one of the most important aspects of our wedding prep. She was kind, thoughtful, intuitive and personable. I always felt like I was in the best hands when I was with her. She was professional, warm, and insightful during the entire process. The minute I met her, I felt like I’d known her for a lifetime. I’m so thankful I was able to work with her! She knows her stuff! Her energy is so warm and accommodating. I felt like I could really be honest with her about my vision and she would genuinely understand.
