Hello! My name is Catelyn =) I've been a hairdresser, wig maker and makeup artist since 2007 and have been doing bridal hair and makeup throughout my career. Creating a wedding day look is something I believe to be a nuanced, intimate moment in time that I am honored to share with each individual. Whether you're hoping to express the most authentic version of yourself, play with a style you always wanted but never found the right occasion, or simply achieve an elevated level of your everyday look, I am here to guide you through the process with ease.

Collaboration is the pinnacle of my process. A wedding day holds such personal value and it is my goal to support you with an open mind and a sense of calm, sparking our collective creativity to step into the day feeling more confident and beautiful than ever!

Bridal Hair and Makeup + Prep Session

Prior to the wedding day, we will get together to explore ideas and inspiration for your look. This will include full hair and makeup application along with casual photos in natural light so we may have documentation and reference as to how you will appear on camera. When the wedding day comes, I will be on location to perfect the look we practiced and send you off ready for the big day!

    Catelyn reached out to me quickly on Zola after I sent an inquiry, and I'm so glad she did! I booked a trial right away, and we had the best time. Catelyn's work is truly exceptional. She did both hair and makeup for my sister (MOH) and myself (Bride), and she worked closely with us to deliver exactly what we wanted, even when I switched up my hairdo last-minute. It's clear she knows how to do hair and makeup for different facial structures and types of hair - she's a total expert. Speaking of, Catelyn is a consummate professional with extensive experience (show biz in LA!). She brought such a calming presence on my wedding day. I have pretty thick, heavy hair that doesn't usually stay up easily. Catelyn secured my hair so well that it did not budge at all, even when I took the veil out and in the intense winds out in the Gorge. She also gave me a touch-up kit with other helpful things (tissue - which I definitely used, Q-tip, breath mint, etc.). My makeup held up well through the many tears, too. I received so many compliments on my hair and makeup throughout the day, with everyone saying how beautiful I looked. I cannot recommend Avantchard/Catelyn enough for her exceptional service, warm presence, and quality work!

    Catelyn's kindness and fun-loving personality made the whole experience a joy. She is a wizard with hair extensions, worked wonders with our hair, and made us all feel like absolute queens! Each family member only had fantastic things to say about her work. Catelyn's efficiency and help in staying on schedule were a lifesaver. She even accommodated our last-minute request by reaching out to her large network to get an additional hair stylist. Her quick response and resourcefulness made everything perfect.     Catelyn was an amazing hair and makeup stylist to work with on my wedding day. She was extremely professional, soft spoken and put me at ease right away. I don’t usually wear makeup and Catelyn was open to doing as much as I felt comfortable with, along with some little suggestions to help elevate my look. I was so nervous that I would end up not looking like myself at all, but my fears were unfounded. She helped me look like myself but elevated and I felt so beautiful, glam and confident on my wedding day! I highly recommend Catelyn to the next bride to be for their special day.
