Our guests can’t stop talking about our wedding…the breathtaking views, the incredible food from the smoker, and the coffee bar everyone loved…and it’s all thanks to Harrington. From the moment you arrive, the beauty of the venue speaks for itself, but what truly sets it apart is how effortlessly they make everything come together. We wanted a place that could truly do it all so we wouldn’t have to worry about a thing, and Harrington delivered in every way. The entire team worked tirelessly to make us feel special and ensure we had the best day possible. They went above and beyond for us and our 200 guests…making sure we always had food and drinks, checking in at all the right moments, and creating thoughtful touches that our guests are still raving about. And of course, a massive shoutout to our incredible coordinator, Lindsey. As the first in my family to get married, we had no idea what we were doing. Lindsey guided us every step of the way…answering every question, offering honest advice, and becoming a close friend and trusted guide throughout the process. I honestly can’t imagine what planning our wedding…or our wedding day itself…would have been like without her. We are endlessly grateful to the entire Harrington team for making our wedding day stress-free, beautiful, and unforgettable. I cannot recommend Four Winds Farm enough. Not only was our wedding perfect and unforgettable, but the whole weekend was so truly special. Ian and Bri went above and beyond to make our wedding dreams come true with such care and ease. Every single inch of Four Winds is gorgeous, you’ll have a hard time choosing where you want it all to happen! We also really appreciated the history and character of the barn, we barely had to decorate as the space was filled with memorabilia and fun details. It’s really the coolest spot. As we come up on our first anniversary, we’re wishing we could go back and relive it all!

We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful place to celebrate our daughter's wedding than the Harding Allen Estate. Though the ceremony was held elsewhere, the Estate hosted the reception, and it was everything our daughter dreamed of — and more. From the start, Jasmine and Suzy made us feel completely at home. Their warm, family-run approach set the tone for a joyful, stress-free day. They worked seamlessly with the caterer we brought in, ensuring every detail was handled with care and professionalism. It was clear they were committed to making the day perfect, no matter what. The setup at the Estate is outstanding, with beautiful spaces for the bridal party to relax and prepare. Our daughter and her bridesmaids loved getting ready at the Rose Cottage, while the rest of the venue was meticulously prepared for the reception. The staff even took special care of the personal decorations we provided, setting everything up exactly as envisioned and carefully packing it all afterward — such attention to detail truly stood out. The venue’s flexibility and support extended to accommodating some family food allergies, and they coordinated effortlessly with our caterer to make sure everything was just right. Every staff member was kind, respectful, and made the day feel personal and special. Jasmine was incredibly responsive, especially in the final weeks leading up to the event, helping us feel fully supported. Her dedication made a real difference, allowing us to focus on enjoying the celebration with family and friends. Choosing Harding Allen Estate for the reception was one of the best decisions we made. Between the stunning venue, the wonderful staff, and the extra touches like the Rose Cottage, morning breakfast (for those of us staying at the estate), and beautiful gardens, it was truly an unforgettable evening for everyone. We highly recommend Harding Allen Estate to any family planning a wedding — it was a dream come true for our daughter and a memory we'll cherish forever.

My husband and I were married at Salem’s this weekend and I wouldn’t change a thing about the day or the entire planning process! Honestly, I didn’t know anything about planning a wedding but Donna and Martha took care of everything I needed and even the things I didn’t know I needed. Through out planning communication was clear and timely. Donna answered all my questions and accommodated any changes (even last minute) without batting an eye. Salems has great relationships with local venders and their ability to collaborate made it all the more seamless. On the day of my family and I chose to get ready at Salem’s; we had a comfy suite and they served us a delicious sit down lunch with salads and mimosas in a private dining space. When a couple of little girls showed up as a surprise the kitchen staff even made them their own macaroni and cheese plates! The ceremony space and overall landscaping was perfect with flowers and fresh cut grass. Our guests loved taking photos on the beautiful grounds and our professional photos look like they are straight out of a fairy tale. At the reception everyone raved about the delicious prime rib dinner and strawberry short cake. The serving staff and bartenders were fun, personable, professional, attentive and really seemed invested in making my family’s day perfect. If I could do my wedding day again I would absolutely choose this venue.

I was a floral designer providing centerpieces for a baby shower held there last fall (2023), in the Phillips Room. My experience as a vendor there was great. The venue was immaculate and modern inside, with the classic New England charm and vibe. The staff could not have been more helpful. They helped me with load-in, and the setup people were friendly and efficient. The coordinator Linda was also friendly, professional and on top of all the many details for the event (food, drinks, balloons, florals, favors, etc.). The room was light and airy, with lots of windows and light. The neutral background would work for almost any color palette. It is a beautiful venue in a classic New England setting, and I highly recommend it!

Everything about this venue was incredible, from the picturesque mansion to the wonderful, supportive staff. From our very first interactions with the sales team (Helen) to our day-of staff (Casey & May), everyone was extremely professional, helpful, and a pleasure to be around. They were gracious in answering our questions, calming our nerves, and being an assuring force throughout it all. We are so grateful for the love and care they put into our special day to keep everything organized and on track. Fireside's food was phenomenal and all the late night snacks and desserts were a huge hit with our guests. There was also a nice flow throughout the night and our guests commented that they were grateful that they knew where to go at every point in the wedding. We had rain on our wedding day but we are pleased to say that the ceremony under the tent was still magical, and actually created a nice moody atmosphere and our photos came out amazing. The heaters kept the tent dry and comfortable all night. We hope someone else we know gets married at the Stevens Estate soon so that we can attend!

Cambridge Boat Club

5.0

CAMBRIDGE, MA
  • Up to 120 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $4,000

Cambridge Boat Club is a social and rowing club, located on the banks of the Charles River overlooking Eliot Bridge. Originally built in 1909, CBC was picked up in its entirety and rolled upstream to its current location in 1947, to make room for the building of Memorial Drive. Featuring vaulted ceilings and dark exposed beams akin to a ski chalet, and double french doors opening to a full length veranda, CBC offers a unique, rustic setting for any event.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Multiple event spaces
  • Raw space for complete customization
  • Has a dance floor to dance the night away

Venue considerations

  • Does not allow pets
  • No on-site guest accommodations
  • Couple must handle cleanup and setup
The Cambridge Boat Club was the perfect choice for our New England fall-themed wedding! It is an absolutely gorgeous location on the river with just the right amount of historic charm. We had originally considered going with all-inclusive venues, but ultimately opted for the flexibility we had with the CBC to craft our own vision. The venue features two distinct rooms, a larger room called the Drinkwater room, which can be used for the wedding dinner, the Club Room, which was used for cocktail hour and the dance floor, and a porch, which has a stunning view. The layout perfectly accommodated both the party enthusiasts and our more introverted guests, who preferred quieter spaces for rest and socialization away from the dance floor. Opting for this venue requires a more DIY approach compared to all-inclusive options. Since it is a historic building, there are some restrictions to be aware of, e.g. no sparklers or ceiling drapery, and existing wall decor generally need to stay on the wall. This was no issue for us since we had a clear vision for the wedding theme and decor, and enlisted the help of Tastings Catering (highly recommend, since they have previous experience working in this space and also handle some of the decor) and Designlight. Major shoutout to Katie Donnelly, the club manager at Cambridge Boat Club, who always responded in record time to all our inquiries and provided helpful guidance. With everyone's help, we were able to create the wedding of our dreams!

I cannot say enough positive things about the Rosewood Country Inn as a wedding venue. This venue is special in that you get the entire 11-room inn for the weekend (Fri-Sun), and so we were able to have our closest friends and family staying with us, which was a blast! The inn offers a beautiful country setting on the outside that is perfect for an outdoor ceremony. We held ours at the gazebo in the courtyard, which was surrounded by beautiful trees and scenery that make for gorgeous pictures. The dining hall of the inn hosts the reception, and is perfect for an intimate and stylish dining experience that then morphs a dance floor! The food is excellent (Stan's stuffed french toast can't be missed), not only for the reception but the rehearsal dinner and breakfasts on Sat and Sun. Stan and Odo are extremely kind and gracious hosts, who let us make our wedding truly our own!

The Multicultural Arts Center was a beautiful venue for our wedding ceremony and reception! We had our ceremony outdoors in the courtyard just outside the building, and the staff helped us to get the permits to use the courtyard, helped to set up microphones for the ceremony, and also helped work with us on a backup plan to have the ceremony indoors in case it had rained on our wedding day. The courtyard is a charming spot with trellises and greenery and is surrounded by classic-looking New England buildings. Adria and Taylor on the staff were extremely helpful in helping us plan our reception: they answered our many questions and let us rehearse in the venue so that we could figure out how we wanted to lay out the space. The theater hall was an amazing place to have our reception: we especially loved the balcony and the design of the ceiling, and there was plenty of room for a little over 100 guests, buffet tables, a DJ, and a dance floor. The venue was also a really convenient location for our guests - it's close to the T and has several nearby hotels. Would highly recommend!

From start to finish (and beyond), the staff at Hampshire House were incredible to work with. The Director of Sales, Michele Giacomozzi, was patient, knowledgeable, communicative, and helped us to create the wedding of our dreams! The day-of staff (Bartenders, waiters, kitchen, etc.) were all attentive and made the day effortless for my husband and me. Besides the staff, I appreciated how transparent Hampshire House was throughout the process - whether it be about pricing, chair upgrades or kids' meals, they made it easy to budget and understand what was included. The venue itself was perfection - we absolutely fell in love with the 2nd floor library space when we visited and seeing it on the wedding day was so magical! The library exuded elegance and gave our night a cozy, intimate feel - all our guests loved it and felt it was so perfectly us. The long rectangle tables were great for conversation and left plenty of space for a dance party! Hampshire House is classic & quintessentially Boston; I can't recommend the space enough! Lastly, but certainly not least, the food at Hampshire House was stellar! Our tasting was so fun, Michele and her team walked us through the whole process and were so patient with us. The food on the day of was incredible and the guests could not stop raving about it! The Baby Lamb Chops in particular were a favorite as were the entrees (Grilled Beef Tenderloin, Lemon Thyme Chicken Breast, and Wild Mushroom Ravioli) and specialty drinks (Paper Plane & Pomegranate Paloma). Olio was the first (and only) wedding venue we toured. Immediately following our tour, my partner and I cancelled all tours/meetings with other venues - we knew that if we were going to have a wedding, it had to be at Olio. Sarah and the Olio team ALWAYS met us with genuine enthusiasm and kindness. All communications with Olio were authentic, seamless, and enjoyable. Since our family lives all over the country, Sarah and the team went out of their way to accommodate and ensure each of our family members could tour Olio when they were in town. Our wedding exceeded any and all expectations. It is impossible to articulate the beauty of this venue. All of our friends and family continue to rave about the space, story behind Olio, and the wonderful venue team. Olio is incredible without any decorations, but can be a blank canvas for people with big ideas. There is East End Peabody Veterans Memorial Park down the road that is perfect for photos, and a Granite Coast Brewing Company a few doors down for an afterparty. Olio and their team will make you feel supported, and with their authenticity comes a critical level of mutual trust. Thank you Olio for being the best venue, and team, we could have ever asked for!
