What is your peak season?

Our peak season is May, June, July, August, September, and October. We do not offer weddings November – April.

Can we bring our own alcohol?

No. You must work with a Vermont licensed bar catering service.

Is there parking available on-site?

Accepted Answer

Yes – we have plenty of parking for your guests, although if you plan to serve alcohol, we do encourage you to hire a shuttle for your guests. We have great car service suggestions, and during a tour you'll get a solid sense of the flow of the farmstead.

Tell me about differently-abled accessibility.

Accepted Answer

Everything has been built to code with respect to ADA accessibility. We have outdoor ramps and ADA accessible bathrooms. Please keep in mind that this is a historic farmstead – while the lawns, gardens and patios are flat, they naturally undulate and all the driveways are gravel.

What is the time frame that the barn is available?

Accepted Answer

You will have full access to the barn event spaces and expansive grounds during your stay. For example, if you are staying for 3 nights, you will have 4 day access to the barn for unhurried setup and breakdown. Check-in and check-out times will be determined in collaboration with each couple based on their event(s) timeline. Festivities must wrap up by 10:00PM. Or, if arranged in advance, there is the optional add on of extending the celebration to midnight (limited availability, please inquire). We also offer optional rehearsal dinner and post-wedding brunch events included in your wedding weekend package.

How do we get to your venue from the nearest airport and train station?

Our farmstead is located 1hr 15min from Bradley International Airport in Connecticut, 2hrs from Albany International Airport in Albany, NY, and 2hrs 15min from Logan International Airport in Boston, MA. We are conveniently located 10minutes from the Amtrak Train Station in Brattleboro, VT where there is one train a day, or for a more frequent train schedule, we are 20min from the Amtrak Train Station in Greenfield, MA. Public Transportation is not available, and you won't find Uber or Taxi services either. You may hire a private car service through Thomas Transportation by scheduling in advance.

Do you have a date change and cancellation policy?

Yes – it's standard. Please inquire for a Weekend Wedding Welcome Guide packet for full details and the most up-to-date policies.

Are there any extra costs that we should be aware of?

Accepted Answer

Package prices do not include applicable state and local taxes. Event Rentals Not Included – chairs (inside/outside), china, silver, glassware, linens, sound system, lawn games, outdoor lounge set up, event restrooms of your choice. Event Insurance – as a venue we are fully insured, and we also require couples to carry their own event insurance. Optional Add-ons include: Extend your celebration ‘till midnight and Extra Nights in 2 cottages.
