About this venue

A historic estate nestled in the heart of Dedham, Haven House is a great location for your private event. Host your micro-wedding, baby/bridal shower, graduation party, or next business conference in our beautiful home. Rentals include tables and chairs. Renter must provide tablecloths/linens for rental. If you wish to have alcohol at your event, you must go through our insured/TIPS certified bar service: Cocktails, LLC in Weymouth, MA.

    A terrific location for a special event!

    There are so many positive reasons to hold your special event here. Bettie and the staff are friendly and extremely easy to work with. As a historic home, it is full of charm. We hosted a group of 60 for a bridal shower. Many commented how unique and special the day was!

    Beautiful Space

    I highly recommend this space for your party, it's lovely, needed little additional decor and if you use the space correctly can offer lots of options for your guests, a quiet room for eating, outdoors, yard space for games, dance floor, etc! And the Event Manager is amazing to work with and very helpful!

    Wonderful venue for "The Night Before" dinner

    The DCH staff was so helpful and accommodating to all our needs. The Lincoln room and the porch were perfect for drinks and appetizers. The ball room seated our 40 guests beautifully. Everyone delighted with the ease of parking! Thank you, DCH!

    Incredibly lovely setting for a baby shower

    I am so grateful to have found Bettie and DCH! We needed a homey, comfortable setting for a baby shower to accommodate more folks than we could fit in our own home. Haven House was the perfect setting. Arrangements were easily made, great supporting staff. Plenty of room for kids to play in the back, adults to sit, eat, drink and mingle. The history captured many of the adults inquiring provenance, especially of the Lincoln Room. (I also saw artist friends taking pics of the beautiful wallpaper designs)

Yes, rentals are available Friday evenings from 5pm to 11pm, and all day Saturdays and Sundays.
DCH requires all renters to hire Cocktails, LLC for all bar services. All arrangements and payments for alcohol is the responsibility of the renter to contact Cocktails, LLC.
Yes! Free parking on our property, street parking, and an overflow lot behind the courthouse across the street.
There is a new elevator from our parking lot for those in need of assistance with stairs. Accessible bathroom on the first level of the house.
6 hours. This time includes your time to set up and your time to clean up. All parties are expected to be off the property at the end of the rental period. Renter can add additional time to rental if staff is available. Call 781-329-5740 to inquire.
We do cancellations on a case-by-case basis; typically, we refund the rental fee and keep the security deposit, however we make exceptions if circumstance allows. If event is cancelled within 2 weeks of event, no refund will be provided.
You may rent DCH all year round, however certain times of the year book up quicker (holiday season, summer, spring).
We rent all year round, though some times are busier than others.
