About this venue

The Carreau Club is an 8,000 sqft recreation space where you and your loved ones can celebrate amidst the lush backdrop of live plants, vibrant murals, festive street lamps, and the soft glow of dimmable market lights! Our 8 indoor and 4 outdoor pétanque courts convert seamlessly into additional reception seating, dance floor, or performance space. Our space also features a full bar, full event catering, day of event staff, and a day of coordinator to help bring your vision to life! We welcome personalization! Couples will have lots of flexibility to decorate and impart their own style into our space for a unique and unforgettable night!

Full Buyouts are $1,000 per hour and includes use of our 6,000sqft indoor club & 2,000 sqft shaded courtyard. All of our bar packages are completely customizable to fit your theme and range in price from $20pp/hr - $30pp/hr. We offer a range in seasonal menu packages to fit your taste and budget and all event staff is included in the package price! Whether your wedding is pétanque themed or you're just into big bright murals and lush green plants, our space is versatile and undeniably charming!

Our space features 14ft ceilings, wall-to-wall windows on the north and south sides and casual park like seating for up to 150 people. To elevate your event theme, our coordinate can help you put an order together to create a custom floor plan. Our all-inclusive bar packages feature local breweries, custom batch cocktails & premium spirits to suit every taste. Our experienced bartenders are ready to create a bespoke bar experience that reflects your unique style and personality.

    Amazing, fun, and unique

    From our first conversation with Dana at Carreau Club, we knew we had found our venue. She communicated with us in a relaxed way that made planning feel easy and stress-free, and she always got back to us right away with clear answers to our questions. Dana's background as a wedding planner really showed—she understood our vision and was flexible about how we wanted to bring it to life. The space itself is gorgeous and colorful, and our party looked exactly like we had imagined it would. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

    Super fun wedding event with Carreau Club!

    We hosted about 100 guests for wedding welcome drinks at Carreau Club and everyone had a blast! Our guests enjoyed casual petanque play and everyone was very impressed with the unique setting and the overall atmosphere, service, and vibes. The staff were very helpful teaching guests petanque rules and gameplay. Carreau Club was very flexible and accommodating, with several different options for food/bar packages and court/venue buyouts. Dana was a dream to work with. While I hope I never get married again, if I do, I would be sure to come back to Carreau Club -- let's play petanque!

Pétanque is a “boules” sport in the same family as bocce, curling, shuffleboard, and horseshoes. The object of the game is to score points by getting your boule closer to the target than your opponent. Unlike bocce or bowling, boules are not rolled on the ground but tossed in the air with a little arc and some backspin. The game originated in the south of France but is played all over the world from Thailand to Madagascar, Senegal to Canada, and here in the heart of Brooklyn.

Our building is located 12 miles away from LaGuardia Airport in Queens, New York. You can reach our venue by public transportation via the subway or train, or by private car or taxi.
Our space is 6,000 of indoor space and 2,000 of outdoor space. We do not offer private rooms.
We have a standard XLR cable hook up behind the bar with room for a full DJ set up. We encourage DJs to bring additional amplifiers and wireless mics for a clearer sound during any speeches or ceremony.
We don't have a peak "season"! People seem to love pétanque year round! We offer discounts for weekday (Mon-Thurs) parties year round.

A non-refundable deposit is taken for all Half/Full Buyouts. All of our food and beverage packages are priced per person, per hour and we allow a 10% head count reduction once a party is confirmed. Final head count is required at least 48 Horus in advance of your booking.
There is a 3 hour minimum for all Half/Full Buyouts. 2 hour minimums applies to all Petit-Parcs (13-25ppl).
