After successfully planning and executing her wedding (and postponing and replanning during a pandemic) Melissa Andrea Bressner and her mother Andrea Koumjian founded M&A Designs with one goal in mind: to design and execute unforgettable, personal weddings. From small, intimate affairs to large-scale celebrations, we strive to host weddings that not only aim to impress but also create unique experiences for our couples and their guests that last long after the music stops.

We're different because we are customizable. Since Melissa planned her wedding start to finish, we completely understand the emotional rollercoaster that goes into the process as well as the different needs and visions of each couple. This positions us to be better able to support couples as they do it. We’re uniquely positioned to be realists since we know how the day goes, as well as enthusiastic since we’re doing this purely because we love it!

    The Best Decision We Made Was Choosing M&A Designs

    I cannot overstate what an outstanding job Melissa and the entire M&A Designs team did turning my daughter, Samantha’s, exacting—and extremely high—expectations into reality. There was no detail missed and no moment short of extraordinary. We worked with Melissa for nearly two years, and she was incredibly patient, responsive and generous with her time throughout the entire planning process. Sam has an extraordinary eye for detail and a need to discuss and perfect even the smallest elements. Melissa, Jessica and Katy handled that with incredible patience and grace. Sam is also very artistic and wanted to take ownership of certain aspects of the wedding herself, so finding the right balance between giving Sam the space to execute her own ideas and stepping in with their expertise was not always easy. M&A Designs navigated that dance seamlessly. Melissa immediately won me over when we were choosing a wedding planner. She instilled confidence from the beginning, intuitively understood Sam’s vision and helped bring it to life. She was organized, thoughtful, collaborative and seemingly always one step ahead. We were also incredibly impressed with how professionally and thoughtfully Melissa handled her maternity leave. She introduced Jessica well in advance and ensured a seamless transition, so there was never a break in continuity. Melissa and her team made what could have been an overwhelming process manageable—and ultimately joyful. Looking back, there are two things I feel absolutely certain we did right: involving an event planner and choosing Melissa and M&A Designs for that herculean task. We could not recommend them more highly!

    We had High Expectations, Melissa EXCEEDED them!!!

    Melissa was an absolute GIFT to work with for our wedding. From the very beginning, her communication was fast, consistent, and efficient, putting us at ease throughout the entire planning process. The quality of her work and overall value was exceptional. She is incredibly intentional, organized, and professional in all aspects, helping to keep us on schedule and ensuring our wedding day ran smoothly. Melissa was truly invaluable, creating a detailed timeline that we would have been lost without, and expertly executing behind the scenes with all of our vendors. We had very high expectations going into our wedding, and Melissa exceeded them in every way, making our special day fun, elevated, adaptable, and EXACTLY what we had envisioned. We cannot recommend M&A Designs enough!

    Terrific Surprise Party!

    We couldn’t have asked for a better planner to make my husband's surprise 65th birthday celebration unforgettable. Every detail was thoughtful and seamless, from the location to the timing of the big reveal. Our guests were so touched, and the guest of honor felt celebrated and loved. Truly professional, creative, and a joy to work with. I highly recommend!

    Couldn’t have gone better!

    Melissa and her team at M&A Designs had elite communication, especially in the weeks leading up to the wedding. I was texting Melissa random thoughts and she executed everything flawlessly. Their work was top tier and perfect - I couldn't have done it without them. The day would have been impossible without Melissa and her team. They contributed so much to making our special day truly amazing. I am so happy we got the chance to work together!!!!!

    May wedding

    Melissa was a joy to work with. Competent, friendly, and got every detail right (she even forgave us for missing a meeting with her and rescheduled quickly!). She made everything easy and worked well with the other vendors and the venue.

Melissa is the lead planner and will be your point of contact. Depending on the size, location, and complexity of your event, she brings in additional support or lead staff to make sure everything is accounted for.
Melissa has been planning weddings since her own in 2021, but also did corporate and social events for six years before that. Event planning has always been her passion!
I adore the month-of when all the pieces, all the planning, all the decorations come together and we get a taste of the final vision before the wedding. We walk through each moment of each event and discuss each element, down to what song is playing or who has the item and where/how did they get it. It's like the part of the puzzle when all the pieces fit together.
