New York City based makeup artist Michelle Coursey has years of experience and can help you look beautiful, elegant and radiant. Michelle is an accomplished makeup artist with years of experience in the beauty industry. She specializes in the clean, flawless, elegant makeup that brides want. She understands that brides want to look their absolute best on their wedding day, but still look like themselves.

Michelle has more than 20 years of experience in the beauty industry, not just in bridal makeup, but in the fashion and commercial makeup as well. Her work has appeared in countless magazines, both nationally and internationally, as well as on the runway, the red carpet and television. Her clients appreciate not just her flawless technique, but also her calm demeanor and soothing touch, which is so important on their big day. Please note: I do not provide hairstyling services but I can provide the names of some wonderful hairstylists that do.

    Michelle was a perfect addition to the Getting Ready crew on the day of my wedding! Michelle is an amazingly calm presence yet is also incredibly skilled at what she does. I can’t emphasize how important her calm presence was on a day that is crazed and busy. I did a makeup trial with her a few months before the wedding and Michelle got exactly the vibe/look that I wanted! Throughout the whole process, from initial email to the big day, Michelle was also incredibly responsive and always emailed back within hours. She was so easy and lovely to work with and I recommend her with flying colors!

    Michelle is a pro — she’s worked for years with some of the biggest names in fashion —and it shows: she’s a calming presence, a clear communicator, flexible and accommodating, and she sent me (and my sister) off to my wedding with subtle, beautiful makeup that didn’t budge all night. I highly recommend her to anyone in need of bridal or other event makeup!

    Michelle was amazing! When I first met her for the makeup trial, she was very attentive and really listened to what I wanted. She asked a lot of questions and was extremely professional - giving me suggestions and making sure the outcome was what I wanted. On the wedding day, everyone's makeup was perfect and also matched their individual styles. She focused on giving each person what they wanted and executed it perfectly. The whole group was thrilled and looked beautiful. For me, one of my biggest concerns was having the makeup look "fresh" for the entire day, which it did. I could not have been more pleased. On top of that, Michelle brought a really positive and calming energy to the room on my wedding day. She was so friendly and engaging and really put everyone at ease. Especially me! I would love to work with Michelle again, and cannot recommend her enough!

    I hired Michelle to do my hair and makeup for my wedding and she was simply amazing. Not only was the end result stunning, she was so sweet, professional and easy to talk to. Overall, it was a great experience - she had such a calming presence throughout the whole process. I wanted my makeup to be natural and understated, and she really listened. I received a ton of compliments and the makeup photographed beautifully. Both my hair and makeup lasted all day, even though the weather was terrible. She was also incredibly responsive throughout the booking process which made coordinating the day very easy. I cannot recommend Michelle enough, she is simply the best!
