We are a Brooklyn based group of highly in-demand professional musicians that have been playing together since 2009. We have been established in the NY tri-state area as "a band for music lovers" and we proudly cater to clients who appreciate the difference between a good band an unforgettable musical experience.

Our musical chemistry is unparalleled and our wide variety of dance repertoire ensures that all generations get down to our performances. We have a non-traditional approach to the wedding band format and specialize in blending Top 40, Motown, 80s, 90s, classic rock, jazz and contemporary pop into our sets to make your big day as true to your vision as possible. Your guests will overwhelm you with compliments all night and they'll be talking about your wedding for years!     Perfect Choice!

    Mod Society was the perfect choice for our wedding band. From the very first interaction, Claudio and Rachel were fantastic in ensuring we never had to worry about the band set up or preparedness for our wedding. On the day of our wedding, they delivered above and beyond! Mod Society not only learned all our important songs but played them incredibly well and afterwards kept the dance floor packed all night long! Our guests could not stop raving about how great the band was all night and the weeks after and we couldn't have asked for a better band to make our day so memorable!

    The best choice we made for our wedding

    Mod Society was an absolute hit at our wedding! From the moment we booked them, their communication was quick and incredibly helpful. They listened closely to our music preferences and must have nailed the playlist, because our dance floor was packed all night long. Mod Society truly made our wedding celebration so much fun for us and all of our guests. A month later, they are still the talk of the party - everyone keeps raving about how amazing the band was. The value they provided was incredible, and we couldn't recommend them more highly to any couple looking to make their wedding day truly unforgettable.

    the BEST vendor!!

    HIRE MOD SOCIETY! You will not regret it!! From start to finish, everything about working with Mod Society was incredible. Firstly, Claudio is truly such a pleasure to work with- he is extremely responsive, organized, and kind! He made the entire process very easy and I could tell that he was genuinely invested in his clients. Secondly, the talent of the band is truly unbelievable. We had multiple different configurations of the band during our wedding- duo during the ceremony, jazz quartet for cocktail hour, part of the band during dinner, and then the full 9 piece band during the dancing. At every point in the day, they were amazing! The full band played the perfect set list and with such incredible energy that pretty much every guest was on the dance floor jumping up and down and dancing the night away. It was truly the most epic wedding party thanks to Mod Society! We had multiple guests tell us it was the best wedding band they had ever heard and some have already told us they they want to book Mod Society for their own weddings/events! I can't say enough wonderful things about Mod Society and would highly recommend them for any wedding!

    Hire this band!

    Every time I’ve worked with Mod Society I am blown away! This is not your average wedding band. Each member could be a famous musician on their own and the talent this group has is just beyond. They have an incredible variety of songs that you parents AND your friends will be stoked to hear. The first time I heard them I put them on my Prefered Vendors list and I do a happy dance when my couples hire them. They are worth every penny!

We started playing together in 2009 as a jazz trio and we've built our band from there! The core members of the band have been with us since the beginning.
Most of the band lives in Brooklyn with a few of us in Manhattan. We like to say we're a Brooklyn based wedding and events band.
We have a roster of eight singers and the lineup for any event depends on availability and the needs of the client. You can check out all of our singers on our website and instagram!
For weddings we usually arrive three hours before the ceremony. Otherwise, We're happy to adjust to your timeline.
We'll learn up to four songs that are not in our repertoire which includes special dances.
As the band has grown, we've built a dependable roster of musicians who can step-up in a moment's notice. All of our musicians play with us regularly throughout the year and are well versed in the Mod repertoire.
Check out our repertoire on our website. Feel free to let us know what you like from the list or if there's anything you'd prefer not to hear. Regardless, we like to read the room and adjust as throughout the night.
When planning your event we'll ask if there's a dress code and we'll adjust accordingly. For most events we wear navy suits and cocktail dresses but for more formal occasions we bring out the black suits / tuxes and gowns.
Yes! We'll pretty much go wherever your budget can take us. We do events throughout the east coast and have travelled to the Caribbean a few times! If your venue is more than three hours away, we'll require overnight accomodations.
Yes, most venues require all their vendors to have liability insurance. Ask us about two months from your date and we can send that over.
We require a 20% deposit to hold your date and the final payment is due four weeks prior to the event.
Yes, we'll provide all MC services including introductions, speeches and general announcements throughout the event.
Yes, we'll usually take breaks that coincide with speeches and the main course. When we're not on stage we'll keep the vibe going with music from the soundsystem. We like to end the evening with a long set to keep everyone on the dance floor and end with a bang.
