As a photographer I love being present and in the moment in with couples. When I’m shooting I bring a calm, warm and supportive presence with me throughout the day. I strive to uncover the beauty beyond the big kiss, I love finding the perfect moments between people where love, joy and gratitude can be expressed by a gesture, a look, or a hug. As the main photographer I’m always thinking about the next perfect moment before it happens and I’m fully responsible for the editing. When I got engaged was the first time I worked with a professional photographer. As much as I loved being with my wife, the whole process just didn’t feel like us. I wasn’t sure what to do & felt uncomfortable. That’s why when I began photography I took on the belief that having your memories documented should be enjoyable and feel like you. At Heart & Mind Creative we’ve developed a process where we get to know you, understand your values, and guide you every step of the way. This allows you to not only have a great time during your photos, but walk away with artistic, emotive, and honest photographs that tell your story just the way it is.

I grew up and reside in upstate NY. I always had a love for capturing life in the way I see it, and turning those moments into memories that can be looked back on for many generations. I love to travel and shoot a variety of life’s experiences, especially elopements and micro weddings.

What we create here is the art of documenting the special moments of people’s lives through our eyes and lenses and sharing them in the most cinematic, unscripted way possible. Whether it be a smile while lost in the warmth of a partner’s arms or a tear rolling down a father's cheek as he leads his daughter down the aisle. My introduction to photography came when I was five years old, and my parents bought me a plastic Fischer-Price 110 camera. I dragged it everywhere. I moved on from taking pictures of the family dog to photojournalism for the school newspaper. In high school, I learned classical darkroom technique. I have earned a Bachelor's of the Arts from the George Washington University, a Master's of the Arts from the University of East Anglia in the UK, and I further studied photography at the Rhode Island School of Design. My current approach to wedding photography builds upon my background in fashion photography and photojournalism.
