They were super flexible and played all the songs we asked for- even some very “niche” tracks we asked for during the ceremony. “We had such a wonderful experience with our DJ. Before the wedding, he met with us to really understand our ideas and preferences, and it made us feel so confident going into the big day. The photo booth was a huge hit and when we received the pictures afterward, along with the beautiful book he created with all the prints, it meant so much to us. It was such a fun and thoughtful detail. I was also nervous about having both Portuguese/brazilian songs and English songs throughout the night, but he made it happen perfectly. The music flowed nonstop and he mixed everything so naturally that our families and friends had an incredible time. My husband even sent him a very special song made for me at the last minute during the wedding, and he added it right away without hesitation. It made the moment unforgettable. When I later saw the photos, I could see how much fun everyone had and how amazing the energy was all night long. We are truly grateful for his talent, professionalism, and kindness.”

“My wife and I hired Eric to dj our wedding at Mt. Princeton Hot Springs in August. When looking for djs we were immediately impressed by his confidence in being able to run sound for the event, perform an acoustic set during the happy hour, as well as DJ. He had thought of aspects we had not even considered and was super pleasant to work with the entire way. The sound for the ceremony was outstanding. The lapel mic for our officiant worked great and the wireless mic he provided for us to recite our vows had crystal clear sound. His set during the cocktail go hour was also phenomenal. Eric has a soulful voice and a great feel for the harmonica. It was really the perfect music for this portion of the event, and he went above and beyond running sound for my cousins to play a few songs as well. During dinner he had a great jazz playlist that was perfect. And once the dancefloor opened up Eric knew exactly what to play. We had provided a playlist of songs we like that he was able to pull songs from and then he chose a number of songs too that really got people dancing. Our guests were impressed by his artfully crafted smooth transitions between songs. Eric also had a great vibe as the DJ, with a cool demeanor and a bit of a Blues Brothers aesthetic. He was cordial and got along great with our guests, taking a number of requests. Overall, Eric was the perfect choice for our wedding DJ and comes highly recommended!”

“Stop looking because you just found your DJ. Casey was AMAZING. We are almost a week after our wedding and I haven't gone a day without hearing how amazing our DJ was. He was very communicative, punctual, and so sweet. We had a couple hiccups (like every wedding), and he seamlessly filled the moment with music while we figured it out. His timing was PERFECT. I had people CONSTANTLY coming up to me during the reception and tell me how good the music was. Everyone, from grandparents to kids were tearing up the dance floor the WHOLE time. I'm talking people who never dance, were dancing. He had seamless transitions between songs, overlapped ones that made sick remixes, and knew exactly when to change the song to keep people on the floor. When we were running behind schedule, Casey would come up to us and ask what we wanted to do every time, which as a type A bride I loved and it made me feel like I didn't have to think about the timeline. They provided the string duo for our ceremony, the guitarist during cocktail hour, and a 7 piece band including a male and female singer. Our guests even commented how good the guitarist was during cocktail hour! They played a wide variety of music including Spanish music, classics, country, alternative, pop etc., and nailed every song! They also did the Hora for us as well. The singers (male singer-Philip is the band manager) and the female singer sounded amazing live! The band and the DJ during the band breaks kept the energy alive all night. Philip was super responsive, even up until the day before the wedding when we made a few minor changes to song choices. We are so grateful we could have them for our wedding. For reference, we got married at The Addison in Boca Raton Florida in September 2024 in the main dining room.”

He also has you do a questionnaire to help narrow down the right dj for you based off your music preferences. Mike will reached out periodically to follow up & also puts you in touch with the dj the week of the wedding to go over details. Teddy arrived on time and kept everyone on our toes throughout the night. The only thing I will say, is if you’re doing bridal party introductions it’s best to rehearse it if possible. Or give an exact time of the song for your dj to play when each couple comes out.”

“Matt was extremely helpful with every aspect of the evening. He was such a good MC/DJ. We had rented a neon sign and backdrop from our venue and he spent an hour adjusting his photo booth camera to make sure it would pick up the sign. This photo isn't from his camera, it's form the photographer's, but I wanted to show the backdrop! We also extended him 30 minutes when we decided the party wasn't over yet and he whole heartedly agreed. I would definitely pick him again if I had another event in Estes Park!”

What originally started as live music exclusively has now blossomed into full production for weddings and events: live music, DJ/MC services, lighting, video, etc. We've had an incredible time growing, creating, and meeting many, many wonderful folks along the way!

“If I could give John and Trading Post Productions 10 stars, I would. I don't normally go on and on about how great people are, but this group absolutely deserves it. For our wedding, we booked DJ for the ceremony, live music for cocktail hour, and DJ for the reception. First, the live music trio (which we had a guitar, violin, and cello) absolutely nailed it! We chose several songs from their repertoire, but also requested a couple others that were personal to the bride and I, and they not only were accommodating, but they knocked it out of the park during their performance! Second, I could share all the little details about how John was prepared for every moment, but here's the big idea: he is experienced, he will do whatever it takes to get the job done, he is easy to work with, he knows how to read a room, and he is SO talented. So many guests (and even venue staff!) commented on how amazing our DJ was! And there were several times throughout the evening where every single guest was out on the dance floor! Even more than a DJ, John is kind and outgoing, and was so excited to help us celebrate our big day. One little detail I would like to share was during the bride and I's last dance before we departed. John put on the song we requested and then left the room, giving us total privacy in that moment. Though this seems like a little thing, it allowed the bride and I to focus entirely on each other without feeling like anybody was watching us. It is a moment that will no doubt stick with me for the rest of my life. I genuinely don't think a more well-rounded DJ exists. If you're on the fence about whether or not this group is worth it, allow me to be your sign that having John and Trading Post Productions at your wedding is the best choice you could make. “I've been to my fair share of weddings the last few years and I can definitively say that Yazz Events is one of the best live wedding bands I have ever seen. My calves were more sore the day after the wedding than when I ran the Chicago Marathon a few weeks prior. That's how hard I was dancing all night. We had a bilingual wedding (Spanish/English) and the MC, Hector, was able to speak and instruct guests in both languages. SO AWESOME! They also played the perfect blend of songs in both languages. Many of our Spanish speaking guests had not seen a live band like this before and they loved it. Amy, the owner, was amazing with planning and giving suggestions for the setlist. We also hired the jazz duo for our rehearsal dinner. They added such a calming presence to that night. 10/10 all around. Thank you Yazz Events!”

From the moment the reception began to the final song of the night, they helped make our wedding unforgettable. Our DJ was Nick, and he was an absolute rockstar! After our photographers left, Megan stepped in and captured so many beautiful, candid moments that we might have otherwise missed. She went above and beyond, taking tons of extra photos and even offered to share them with us afterward, which meant the world. She was consistently helpful, thoughtful, and genuinely seemed excited for us, which made the experience even more special. Together, Nick, Tristen, and Megan were truly a dream team. Their energy, professionalism, and kindness were more than we could have hoped for. They helped make our wedding night not just fun, but absolutely magical.
