Trading Post Productions

Briana and I (we are husband and wife by the way!) started Trading Post Productions in 2012 when we moved to Denver, CO. What originally started as live music exclusively has now blossomed into full production for weddings and events: live music, DJ/MC services, lighting, video, etc. We've had an incredible time growing, creating, and meeting many, many wonderful folks along the way!

    Excellent on all accounts

    We had the great fortune of having John and Briana play live music during our ceremony. They are truly skilled artists, and could be hired for this alone. Their ability to manage audio while still putting beautiful sounds into the room was seamless. John kept the flow of the evening as our DJ by managing the room, being flexible, and keeping the energy high all evening. We felt we were in good hands from the very start of our interactions with John. He is diligent and knew just what questions to ask to help us put together the evening we wanted. John was able to nail a playlist for the the evening that matched our style, impressively from just a small set of songs we gave for inspiration. Above excelling as a musician and DJ, John felt like an old friend and is certainly someone you want around for such a special day.

    10/10 Would Recommend Trading Post!

    10/10 would recommend John and Briana for live music. 10/10 would also recommend John as the DJ. And 10/10 would recommend the photo booth! John and Briana did an amazing job setting the tone for our ceremony with their live music. They welcomed our guests to the wedding with an elegance only possible with live musicians and entertained our guests before everything kicked off. Briana continued to play her violin during our cocktail hour without missing a beat. They have an extensive catalog of live music and we were able to request specific songs at different points of the day (prelude, walking down the aisle, etc.). John was our stellar DJ the rest of the night. He expertly set the tone for the rest of the night. During dinner he played instrumental jams a la Bridgerton. He custom mixed our first dance song. And he played all of our requested music without hesitation! (He is definitely a certified metalhead wedding DJ now.) Music was our #1 priority for the wedding and John definitely delivered! He even Rick-Rolled us, as requested, and the whole dancefloor went wild. The photo booth was a no-brainer. The photographer was super engaging and guests just couldn’t get enough of him. He also printed a copy of every photo for my husband and I to take home! Would definitely hire Trading Post again!!

    Amazing Party

    John was so wonderful to work with! He did the DJ & MC services for our wedding reception party in September. He covered everything we could need with his questionnaire and helped us consider things we hadn't thought of. We had quite a mix of music genres to incorporate and I feel like it was executed flawlessly. We did a mix of EDM, pop, country, classics, piano mixes - I heard all of my must plays during the evening and I couldn't keep myself off the dancefloor. It was just such an amazing time. We also utilized the lighting and bass package and it really created such a magical vibe. I HIGHLY recommend Trading Post Productions for your event!

    Soundtrack to our favorite day!

    Briana and John were amazing! We gave them a big playlist of songs we loved, and they curated everything so well. The cocktail hour instrumentals were beautiful, the reception music was so fun, and we got tons of compliments from guests on the song choices. They also learned custom songs for us and did a great job keeping the evening running smoothly with announcements for speeches, first dances, the bouquet toss and more. We couldn’t recommend them enough!

    Best wedding DJ in Colorado

    If you're looking for a professional vendor for a wedding or special event, we could not recommend Trading Post Productions more. We used them for our wedding, and it was the best decision we could have made. John and Briana went above and beyond to make our special day one we'll never forget.
