Q: What do you wear?

I always wear a dress that coordinates with your wedding colors!

Q: Do you learn new songs?

Yes, absolutely! If there is a song that is particularly special to you, I would be happy to learn it.

Q: Do you take music requests?

Yes! If I don't know a song on the spot, I usually have a song by the same artist.

Q: Do you provide music for wedding ceremonies or cocktail receptions?

I can provide music for both wedding ceremonies and cocktail receptions.

Q: How early do you come to set up?

I will coordinate my arrival time to suit your needs. For most weddings, I arrive an hour early to set up.

Q: What is your travel and break down fee?

I do not have a travel fee unless I am traveling outside of the Denver Metropolitan area. Breakdown fees are included in my rates.

Q: What is your deposit?

I require a 50% non-refundable deposit upon booking. The remainder is due 30 days prior to your wedding day.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

You can cancel up to 30 days prior to your event. I will retain the 50% deposit.

Alexa Kilgore is a Denver-based acoustic singer and guitarist. Create lasting memories at your wedding ceremony, cocktail hour or event with curated songs for your special day. Alexa brings a relaxed, inviting charm perfect for Colorado’s rustic surroundings.

Alexa has been passionate about music for as long as she can remember. She started writing songs and playing the guitar when she was just 14 years old, which led her to a career in music therapy. By day, Alexa works with adolescents with severe trauma, abuse, and neglect, helping them navigate how to use music as a coping skill. When she’s not practicing music therapy, Alexa plays live music all across Colorado. In 2014, Alexa won Breck’s Got Talent, an annual competition hosted in Breckenridge, Colorado during Ullr Fest.

Alexa is incredible
Alexa is not only a very talented musician, but also an incredible human. Every interaction with her ahead of our wedding was so positive and enjoyable. She took the time to understand us, our likes and dislikes, and asked great questions to get to know us so she could create a unique and personal experience for our wedding day. On the day, she performed with warmth, energy, and love. Our guests commented on how talented she was, as well as how great she was to interact with - she had a smile on her face every time I saw her and she looked like she was enjoying herself during her performance as much as our guests enjoyed listening. She played during our ceremony and cocktail hour, tailored songs to ones we loved, took requests from the kiddos, and did everything she could to make the music such an important part of our day. She also taught a line dancing lesson with another incredibly talented vendor (Blaise Carpenter), and that was one of the most fun experiences of the day. Our guests loved it, they made it accessible for everyone, and had a lot of fun in the process. If you’re considering a guitarist and/or vocalist to perform at your event or wedding in Colorado, Alexa is as good as they come.

Rockstar MC and Voice of an Angel
After going through the out of body experience of getting married in the forest in a rain storm and then blissfully climbing through the woods barefoot in a gown, the first thing we heard upon entering our venue to sign our marriage license was Alexa’s soaringly beautiful voice. We got to know Alexa as the sister of one of the owners of our beautiful venue Juniper Mountain House when they suggested we reach out to her to MC our evening. Our venue is unique in that they can’t accomodate DJs, and Alexa was just the solution to that! Not only does she have a voice that will slay you in the best way and a set list that will get the people dancing, but she’s funny and charismatic and perfectly kept the evening moving and the people happy. We’ll be forever grateful that she shaped and led our perfect day, and will be fans of hers for life!

Beautiful Acoustic Music!
Alexa is one of the most talented, professional and communicative musicians we have ever worked with. She has an incredibly broad repertoire of music and is perfect for groups of all ages. Her voice is powerful yet angelic and sweet. We would highly recommend her to couples seeking a ceremony musician or someone to play during cocktail hour!

A Mountain Gem
I love love love working with Juniper Mountain House! My couples often are looking for a venue that feels like it's in the woods but also has mountain views and Juniper is just that. Alea and Ashley are amazing to work with and have made the planning process so easy. It is clear they have put a lot of thought into their property as it is beautifully designed. I highly recommend Juniper Mountain House to anyone looking to host a beautiful, intimate wedding celebration.
