Hi, I’m Archie Jenks, the founder of Elegancia Music, a DJ company based in Denver, Colorado. For over 15 years, I’ve been helping people make their weddings, parties, and events unforgettable with amazing music and vibrant lighting. I work closely with my clients to create playlists that fit their style and get everyone on the dance floor. I’m proud to support LGBTQIA+ and POC communities and offer services in both English and Spanish to make everyone feel included and celebrated. My goal is to make every event elegantly, fun, and full of great memories.

What sets Elegancia Music apart is our modern, high-energy approach to DJing. We skip the cheesy routines and overplayed crowd tricks—no Macarena or Chicken Dance here unless you want it. Instead, we bring a club-style vibe to your event, blending tracks seamlessly and keeping the energy high from start to finish. Our focus is on reading the crowd, creating custom playlists that match your style, and delivering a professional, polished experience.     Amazing wedding DJ experience

    From our first conversation with Elegancia Music, we knew we were in good hands—Archie responded quickly to our questions and was genuinely easy to work with throughout the whole process. On the day of our wedding, he showed up with the perfect playlist and handled all the speech coordination without us having to worry about a thing. The older guests loved the music early in the night, and when we asked Archie to shift gears and play more of our style once they left, he switched seamlessly and played everything we wanted. His energy kept the dance floor packed, and he was efficient about reading the room and adjusting on the fly. Elegancia Music delivered exactly what we needed—professional, fun, and worth every penny. We'd book Archie again in a heartbeat!

    Bilingual, effortless, and read the room perfectly

    Archie was fantastic. In the pre-planning phases, we had a few meetings, he was very responsive to email (even created for us a PERSONALIZED first dance mix of two songs we liked and went back and forth with us on it) and had such a detailed questionnaire to get clear on all the details! For the actual day, we had a bilingual wedding reception - English and Spanish announcements throughout the night - and he handled it completely naturally, no awkwardness, no fumbling, just seamless. What really stood out though was how well he read the room at every stage of the night. We had a crowd that wanted Latin & Spanish music, a crowd that wanted millennial/EDM throwbacks, and somehow he made it all flow like one cohesive party. That's not easy to pull off, and he pulled it off. Couldn't recommend him more highly!! His planning throughout also just went above and beyond, and he was just effortless to work with everywhere!

    Best Wedding DJ!!!

    Elegancia Music was the perfect choice for our wedding reception! From the moment we booked them, Archie’s communication was relaxed, professional, and to the point. On the night of our wedding, his energy and performance really lit up the room. They got everyone up and dancing all night long - we couldn't have asked for a more inclusive and energetic group to get the party started. Archie, the lead DJ, was an absolute delight and really made the night unforgettable. The value they provided was well worth the cost, and we cannot recommend Elegancia Music enough to any couple looking for an amazing band and DJ for their special day.

    Quinceañera

    Archie was fantastic! We had a good sized party of about 150 people and he got almost all of them up and dancing by the night’s end. Many of our guests had never been to a quinceañera and he was able to help us blend tradition with a youthful vibe that left everyone smiling and exhausted from dancing. I highly recommend their services for your next event!

    The Best Day!

    Elegancia Music was a fantastic choice for the music at our wedding. From the very first interaction, their communication style was professional, personalized and genuinely nice. They took the time to understand our music preferences and created a high-energy, specialized set list that had our guests dancing all night long. Yes, our clients are encouraged to create a playlist with their requests. We are happy to take requests from guests. If you prefer not to hear crowd participation songs like The 'Chicken Dance', 'Macarena', 'Cha Cha Slide' and 'Cupid Shuffle,' you may add them to the 'Do Not Play' list.
Absolutely, let us know what music you'd like in our ceremony planning forms. We'll also act as your emcee in order to make announcements to smooth out the event and let your guests know what to expect.
Yes, we are constantly adding music to our database, legally purchased to allow us to play the music you want in any venue. Especially important in mountain weddings where internet service can be a problem.
Our specialty is Ethnic, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ events. We cater to what makes your event unique! If you need a bilingual Emcee we are currently offering Spanish and Portuguese, speaking masters of ceremony to make necessary announcements and keep the event moving to honor your culture.
We provide an elegant flow to our events from formal announcements to keep the recent moving to groovy music selections for background music in the style of your choice. You can expect a club-style live mixing DJs to keep the party rocking during the dance! We usually don't play songs all the way through unless its a slow song or a sing along. Cheesy music is off the table and crowd participation music like the Macarena and Cha Cha slide are YOUR choice.
Yes, we are fully insured and are happy to provide proof of insurance to your venue.
We arrive at your venue 1.5 hours before guests begin to arrive to ensure music is playing as they are arriving. We take special care to be sure the music is playing in the next location as we switch from the ceremony to the cocktail hour location and reception space.
All of our packages include lighting for the dance area linked to our music to provide a fun light show that dances with the music.
Setup and Breakdown fees are all included in our package pricing as well as travel for up to 35 miles from Denver. For venues outside of Denver the travel fee is based on the distance from Denver, events over 2.5 hours away are subject to a Hotel Stipend. We offer special pricing in Colorado, Kansas, and Minnesota and would be happy to provide a custom quote for your event anywhere in the US.
