The Aviary Collective

The members of The Aviary Collective have been in the wedding industry for a combined 50+ years. With over a half century of combined experience working with couples across the country, we have tailored a team that can best serve our clients. We have the experience under our belts to anticipate the moments most couples don’t think about.

When first looks, first kisses, and first dances come as easy to us as breathing, we are able to take those moments and highlight the magic so that our couples can relive the feeling of those “firsts” when they look back at their day.     Easy to work with

    We had a great experience working with The Aviary Collective for our wedding photos. From our first email to the final delivery of our album, they were quick to respond and easy to work with throughout the entire process. Their flexibility made it simple to plan shots and adjust our timeline, especially after having to reschedule the entire wedding, and they delivered stunning photos that captured all the moments we wanted to remember. Sometimes, I’ll bring one or more assistant photographers depending on the size of your wedding. Don’t worry, this won’t cost you extra. Our packages include a second photographer after 8 hours of coverage to make sure we are able to be fully present in all of the places we are needed for your big day.
Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. Minor retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening can be performed on small batches of images by request. Large batch cosmetic edits like removing items or people from a photo, adding items or people to a photo, changing the shape of body parts or facial features, and other large scale edits will be charged per photo and outsourced to a professional retouching expert.
We do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
Typically, couples book me about 13 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame. Peak dates such as Saturdays from August-November book very quickly and as we work with a team, we want to ensure we can provide the best service to you with all of our seasoned team members.
In my 8 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. The benefit of working with us at The Aviary Collective is that we have all been in the industry for a long time. We know a lot of great professionals and have a list of emergency contacts we can reach out to should the need arise.
My turnaround time varies by season. We guarantee a turnaround time of 8-12 weeks, but most of the time our couples receive them sooner.
You can expect about 50 to 80 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors. We deliver all of the usable images to you from the day.
