A truly wonderful experience!
We shopped around a bit for a planner before landing on McKayla and her team over at Shaded Spruce Events. Even though we only booked the partial planning package, it felt as if we had a full planner on our side. McKayla made an effort to meet us on our level and elevate ALL of our ideas into a reality. McKayla took most of the logistical planning out of our hands, which allowed us to focus on the fun things. She also helped us settle on and refine the design of the event, and she gave really great ideas that we probably wouldn't have though of on our own. Her recommendations for vendors was also super helpful, and we were very pleased with the ones that we booked. She quickly figured out what we were looking for and how we operated and catered the planning to fit what we needed. With our package, we were also able to utilize a lot of additional decor and services that Shaded Spruce provides, which really added to the overall design of the event. On the big day, we didn't see much of McKayla and her team beyond what was needed, but we knew they were working hard to make the day perfect because the day went perfectly from our perspective! Not only did the event look perfect, we were also extremely satisfied with McKayla and her team's communication. We were always in the loop about what we needed to do and where we needed to be without it feeling overwhelming. At the end of the night, she handled the organization of the tear down, which allowed for the two of us to head out without having to worry about it. Overall, working with McKayla and her team was a true pleasure. We would highly recommend her to anyone who is even thinking of getting a planner. McKayla and the team at Shaded Spruce Events were an absolute dream to work with for our wedding. We decided to go with the day of coordinator package and it was one of the best decisions we made during the wedding planning process! From our first meeting, it was clear that McKayla is extremely organized, thoughtful, and detail-oriented. She always responded promptly to emails and phone calls, answering every question we had along the way. On the wedding day itself, McKayla coordinated everything flawlessly, allowing my mom and I to truly enjoy the day stress-free. She personally handled all vendor communications and set-up of decorations so we didn't have to worry about a thing. Her personable yet professional demeanor put us at ease through the entire planning process. She even stayed until the end of the night and had everything packed up and ready to go for us.
