“As a planner, I work with so many caterers, and Purslane stands out among them all. The food completely surpasses any "wedding food" I have ever had, and they are one of the rare caterers that excels equally at sweet and savory preparations. I'm still dreaming about the sea bass, the hanger steak, the butternut squash gnocchi, and the almond cookies. And so much of their stuff happens to be gluten-free (but still amazing)! “As soon as we visited On the Marc for our food tasting, we knew that the food would be fantastic—and more on that in a minute—but OTM really set itself apart with the service. They greeted our guests with flavored waters when they arrived (hugely helpful for a mid-summer wedding), had servers ready with drinks and food as soon as cocktail hour started, prepared an appetizer platter for a quick private moment as newlyweds, and much much more. A few things stick out over all though: first, the servers were so attentive that they realized a friend of mine was absolutely smashing one of the appetizers and kept bringing those to her (even learning to take the mint leaf off as she did). Second, they rolled with the punches as we realized we may have screwed up some food placards, accommodating our request to check with each guest to make sure we had it right. Third, they had servers march out all at the same time to bring courses during dinner services, a super-professional touch which gave the service a white-glove-service feel. The food was delicious, and everyone kept commenting on it (even on the dance floor where they brought desserts!!). Overall, the food was amazing, the only thing better than the food was the service, and we highly recommend OTM to anyone considering them!”

We use the best, locally sourced ingredients to craft a menu from organic produce, grass-fed beef, and sustainable fish and poultry from farms and purveyors we know and trust. We coordinate all staffing and rental orders for our events, which include weddings, engagement parties, corporate events, bar and bat mitzvahs, cocktail and holiday parties, and intimate dinners. We LOVE weddings here at Pheasant! Being entrusted with one of the most important days of a couple’s life is not something we take lightly. After all, the bridal couple may be the focus of the day, but an amazing meal and impeccable service will make the entire event that much more memorable. Our knowledgeable staff will help guide you through the decision-making process as we go through menus, table scapes, furniture, timing, bar service and more together. “Working with Pheasant was the best decision we could have made for our wedding!!! Yes, it sounds cliché, but it is true. The title of this post is not even a joke; friends and family will-not-stop-talking-about-how-good-the-food-was-at-the-wedding...I'm like...hello? What about me, the bride? Our hilarious and heartfelt vows? The live band? Or even our surprise choreographed dance? Nope!! The food was the **true highlight** of the day/night. Although I may sound mad about it, I am not because it was absolutely delicious, stunning, fresh, and extremely memorable. The appetizers at cocktail hour, the raw bar, and the family style dinner was 10/10, 5 stars, 100%. Most brides and grooms don't even eat at their wedding because they are mingling...but, we had seconds and thirds with extra romesco sauce!!!! Working with Pheasant was hands down the easiest part of the whole wedding. Lola and Cat were incredibly quick to respond to emails, they went along with our requests and offered incredible suggestions. On top of all of that, they handled the rentals, collaborated with our florist and made the table setting romantic, dreamy, and very us 3 They also emotionally supported my decision when I switched event coordinators somewhat late in the game and they helped me find a better match. Lola and Cat were present and professional throughout our time together and then disappeared like fairy godmothers on the special day. They were there, because I vividly remember demanding a hug, but once the event started, they were working their magic on the backend and making sure we had the wedding of our dreams. I do not have a single complaint and I aim to be as honest as possible when writing reviews because it is what helped me make my decision when I was hiring vendors. Do yourself a favor, and hire Pheasant to cater your wedding and you and your guests can thank me later.”
