Bartleby & Sage transformed New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom into a rainforest for a benefit hosted by Sting and Trudie Styler. Bartleby & Sage even crafted a head-turning Marie Antoinette-themed dessert extravaganza for designer Philipp Plein. Months later, I still have friends and family calling me to tell me how much they enjoyed it. The food was phenomenal. Usually catered foods for groups come out lukewarm at best? 135 guests and every single entree came out hot like we were in a restaurant. There were so many options to choose from; we opted for a NY style deli corner and it was such a perfectly unexpected and fun twist. The presentation of everything was gorgeous. And the staff were flawless, and not to mention so kind and helpful. They helped make my tables come to life int he most beautiful way. Rachel, if you're reading this, I cannot thank you enough! From the menu creation and tasting, to all the million changes I made with the rentals over the course of six months, to just holding my hand through the whole experience. It was perfect, and we're so grateful!

Bartleby & Sage catered our wedding at the Wainwright House on 5/25/25 and it truly exceeded every expectation. Our guests haven’t stopped raving about how outstanding the food and drinks were. Working with Leslie and her team was an absolute pleasure. From tailoring the perfect menu to navigating the logistics of the venue, they made every step effortless. On the big day, the food was as delicious as it was during our tasting—if anything, even better. We had multiple guests with allergies, and Bartleby & Sage’s team handled accommodations on both a large and personal scale, ensuring everyone felt completely taken care of. Food was one of our top priorities for the day—and Bartleby & Sage delivered in spades. Their creativity, attention to detail, and seamless service made our wedding something truly special

The food for the wedding was even better than the tasting! It was so good and everyone that attended was super impressed. My only note is that we missed some of the cocktail hour food and dessert during the wedding - I think the day-of coordinator could have been better catering to us knowing how busy we were during the wedding. As long as all of this is explicitly planned in detail ahead of time it should be fine!
