“The photographer, videographer, and photo booth was absolutely perfect and our guests had a blast! However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

Everything was perfect for the ceremony, all music was played at the right times and the sound for an outside wedding was great. We had a few hiccups at the reception, but nothing that was a deal breaker. Connor played all the music on my request list and played music to keep the dance floor hopping, which it was all night. I really liked the website for pre wedding planning. It was easy to use and made communication smoothly. I also liked the recommendation of songs. It was a great night and everyone had a blast. “We are an older couple, and this was a second marriage for both of us, so I am not sure most people would understand the amount of time and effort we spent to find the perfect DJ for our wedding. We are a blended family with 8 adult children, and 5 grandchildren. We were both young parents, so our kids are early 20's, and we have extended family into their 80's - we are literally talking decades of music tastes to cater to. We are both avid music lovers, so having someone that could work with us to help set the perfect tone for our day was vitally important. We started looking for our vendors 2 years ahead of time and when I say we literally vetted over 50 DJs to find the perfect one, it is not a stretch of the truth. What first drew us to DJ Johnny was his videos. We were looking for a DJ that was fun and outgoing, someone to interact with the guests, but not be overbearing. We had been to plenty of weddings where the DJs barely interacted with the guests, and others where you felt like you were in a club and the show was all about the DJ and not the couple. Neither of these were the vibe we were looking for. What we wanted was someone who was experienced, loved their job and knew how to read the room to keep the party going. DJ Johnny's videos seemed to show just that, so we scheduled a call with him. After talking to him, we were fairly certain we had found our guy, but did our due diligence with our other DJ choices as well. We kept coming back to Johnny, because of his personality. He was confident in his skills, but he was in no way arrogant or overbearing. Just very down to Earth and fun loving - a guy who seemed to be fortunate enough to be able to do what he loved and bring other people joy at the same time. After a second call, where Johnny was able to answer some potential concerns, we knew we had our DJ. Johnny is amazing with answering any emails and addressing any questions or concerns. He was able to cater to the music and any announcements we needed. We have family with some very hard to pronounce names, and he made notes to make sure he pronounced everyone's names perfectly (bride's included). He performed for both our ceremony and reception, and the amount of compliments from guests about the music were too numerous to count. There was hardly a moment where the dance floor was empty, he kept the music flowing, the energy high, the guests engaged and just the entire night was fantastic. I can honestly say that our wedding could not have been as flawless as it was without the help of DJ Johhny. Words alone cannot express our gratitude with DJ Johnny and the integral part he played in making our day both memorable and absolutely perfect. If we ever have the need for a DJ again in the future, DJ Johnny will most certainly be our guy!”

“We booked John with Power Play Entertainment for our wedding and are extremely happy we did. We did a lot of research into DJs during the planning process as we knew it was an important role and could mean the difference between a fun wedding and an awkward one. From the moment we talked to John on our initial call, we knew he was the right fit for us. “We loved everything about EMG for our July 2025 wedding. The process of meeting and setting up a contract was easy and efficient. It was a completely tailored experience and did not feel rushed or pushed at all. He gave great recommendations and really understood what our vibe was for 115 guests. We went with an acoustic guitar player for ceremony, electric guitar cocktail hour and reception along with a DJ (Josuel lead) for the reception. We also had the photo station Photo Booth which was perfect for the setting. However our biggest compliments go to Josuel who was our lead DJ. He was organized, prepared and had an excellent presence and composure. He even sorted our last minute changes with the venues matre de because we and guests were taking too long at cocktail hour.. he figured out little changes so I didn’t have to! Above and beyond. We had a very specific vision where we would have a jazz quartet during the cocktail hour and have the pianist and bassist play classical music during the cocktail hour. While this was an atypical setup (usually Cello and Piano), Scott's band was up to the challenge and they absolutely nailed it! I even got to get up and sing a Sinatra standard, and play a tune on trumpet with the cocktail band to my now wife! What great energy the group had, they welcomed me in with open arms and smiles, and we really couldn't have asked for a more perfect day!”
