I strive to capture meaningful photos in a way that feels true and unique to who you are.

Awarded Best of Zola
Khariza is such a beautiful soul and amazing photographer. Her work speaks for itself and the seamless execution from start to finish was so refreshing. My husband and I purchased her package that included an engagement photoshoot, along with our wedding photoshoot, and we also included film photography as well in our package and we are so happy we included that. They came out spectacularly. Khariza helped us from the very beginning to determine many aspects of our wedding by meeting with her and going over her forms. She also provided us with great recommendations for some of the vendors we were still looking for that we ended up contracting and loving as well! She is very well seasoned, upbeat and knowledgeable. We wanted a bilingual photographer to communicate in Spanish with some of our guests, which she fit perfectly for our needs. We are so pleased in working with Khariza and are so happy we invested in such a professional and personable photographer for our special day. Thank you so much Khariza!

She was such a pleasure to work with and knew exactly how to handle a big family with many opinions. I've only gotten the sneak peak photos since we married only two weeks ago but I am already blown away by the results. They look like they belong in Vanity Fair. Artistic storytelling for the fun, kind and adventurous. Hi friend! :) I'm your neighborhood artist, goofy empath, & lover of dogs and human beans. (Name is pronounced Hasmeen, kinda like jalapeño) My goal is to be a source of joy and vulnerability in your life while helping you feel grounded on your big day and ~even more~ grateful for the life you live and the love you choose.

Awarded Best of Zola
Jazmín was everything we could have asked for in a photographer! She was so responsive to our preferences and made sure we had all kinds of angles, poses, etc. while ensuring we and our guests were relaxed and enjoying the process. She gave us the perfect balance of posed photos and candids, so we were able to get amazing pictures and still have plenty of time to socialize during our cocktail hour and reception. Our photos turned out amazing, and we could not be happier!

You deserve to look back on your wedding photos and remember how the day felt — all of your nerves, your laughter, and, of course, your overwhelming joy. Together, we'll tell your story how you want it told, striking a balance between creating gorgeous moments with documentary-style gentle observation.

Awarded Best of Zola
Annalee did such an amazing job on our engagement and wedding photos! My husband and I are both very awkward in front of the camera but our worries quickly faded away because of Annalee's professionalism, kindness, and creativity. Annalee was with us for 12 hours and she kept a smile on her face and did not complain once. She navigated overbearing family members, Facebook Live aunties, and the general chaos of TWO wedding ceremonies in one day. Her work is so breathtaking as she took advantage of the colors, scenery, and general beauty of our wedding. We are truly thankful for Annalee for capturing our day with such beautiful photos. She is so incredibly talented and we wish that we had another big event just so we could work with Annalee again! We were so lucky to have found Annalee as she was one of the best vendors we have ever worked with. If you hire her, you will not be disappointed.

Our wedding, engagement and family photography is inspired by the beautiful wilderness, the culture of our coastal cities, and wherever you call home.

Awarded Best of Zola
Whether you decide to have a big or small wedding, finding the perfect photographer is an essential detail. We stumbled across Courtney’s portfolio and fell in love with her story telling, but soon discovered that we loved working with her even more! Our initial meeting felt so comfortable, and her energy makes you feel like you’ve known her forever. Not only did she ask what we envisioned for the day, but she helped us create a timeline, directed us on the city hall wedding process, and even compiled a whole email with other resources for hair/makeup and florists. My husband and I never take professional photos, so we don’t know how to pose elegantly, but Courtney’s direction, words, and vibe made the experience extremely fun and care-free. Our families loved her, and my relatives could not stop raving about her afterwards. I think one of the most important aspects of a photographer is to make their clients feel confident and comfortable, and to allow their emotions to organically shine - and Courtney does this perfectly. We can’t wait to work with her again in the future for our future milestones :)

Sarah Peterson Photography

I'm a Bay Area native with over 12 years in the commercial photography realm. I got my start on the beaches of Los Angeles back in 2012 shooting commercial swimwear campaigns for some of the best designers in swim and fashion. That opened the door to countless opportunities with modeling agencies, reality television, and fashion design. In 2018 I made the move back up north to San Francisco where I grew up. With a wide network of friends and family up here, I found myself catapulted into the Wedding and Elopement industry - and absolutely loved it! I'm honored when I get to be a part of one of the best days of a couple's life together.

Vincent Po Photography

5.0

San Francisco, CA

  • Starts at $3,100

Oklahoma raised, Princeton educated, and founder of Portrait of a Young Couple, documenting how couples of all backgrounds and identities across the world live and love. I'd love to be a part of helping to capture you and your partner's love.

We worked with Vincent for our wedding in February of 2021. We scheduled our wedding with him several months beforehand. Leading up to the day, he had checked in several times to see how our plans had been coming, evolving, and what our expectations were the day of. He is incredibly personable, professional, and talented. We didn't ask for a lot of specific shots and the few we did ask for came out way better than we could have possibly imagined. Vincent took beautiful photos of us, our family, and our friends. For our camera-shy friends, he kept laughing with us, creating an atmosphere of joy and stress-free photography! He was quick to ensure that all of us being photographed were comfortable. Since our wedding, we have recommended him to literally every person who lets us know that they're engaged. We really can't say enough about Vincent and his work! The best we can say is that we highly recommend working with him- he is a truly amazing human and photographer!

Duy Ho Photography

5.0

San Francisco, CA
  • Photojournalistic style

My professional background was cultivated in the field of architecture and design. But around 2010, my obsession with photography overcame my passion for architecture and I changed course. Through years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve developed a genuine love and appreciation for these emotional events. To me, weddings are emotionally-charged, symbolic celebrations. They often inspire pure expressions, words and feelings from the couple and their family and friends.

Awarded Best of Zola
Mandy Scott Events has worked with Duy Ho Photography many times since we first met as part of the team for a multi-day destination Indian wedding in 2014. Duy is the photographer I most often recommend to my clients. He does not consider himself an artist but a craftsman; I see him as both. His images reflect a unique artistry crafted from years spent figuring out the use of natural light and framing of his subject. He tells the story of the wedding day for his clients capturing emotion and documenting the events as they unfold in an unfussy way. He is always well prepared ahead of the event and exudes a calm energy throughout even the most hectic and longest of wedding days. He is quick to deliver a sneak peak to clients right after their big day and their gallery is always delivered in a timely manner. Can you tell I'm a huge fan of his work?!

San Francisco, CA

  • Starts at $4,500

Storytelling photography that brings your story to life. There is a story to everything right? There is certainly one to your wedding and even to a portrait session. The in-between moments can be the best moments! Images tell a story and they are there for me to find. This isn’t one image. It is a series of images that provoke emotion and thought. This happens with trust and openness and I know I can only get this if you trust me and I am open enough for you to do that. When there is this intimacy, I can get to the heart of the images and that is when the storytelling photography happens.

Awarded Best of Zola
From our first introduction call, it was clear that Misti truly cares about the couples she works with. Her prompt, friendly, and personable communication style put us at ease right away. On our wedding day, Misti's photojournalistic approach captured all the real, authentic moments and reactions that made our day so special. The intimate, high-quality images showcase our true selves and all of our beloved guests in such a beautiful, natural way. We are thrilled with the final photos and will cherish them forever. Misti's talent and passion for her craft is evident in every shot, and we highly recommend Images by Misti Layne to any couple looking for an exceptional photographer.

  • Starts at $4,500

As a photographer of life, love and beauty, Tara Arrowood does what she loves every day. She captures beauty in all things- people, animals, and spaces. Her main goal? It’s simply to make people happy. She uses her lens to show inner beauty, authentic emotions, and life’s precious/fleeting moments. Making people happy means giving them a different perspective, a different angle from which to see their most cherished moments in life. Tara offers photography and cinematography services for any sized wedding. Tell her your plans and she’ll create a schedule that includes everything to tell your story!

Awarded Best of Zola
I truly can’t recommend Tara and her team more highly. Not only is she an incredibly skilled and professional photographer who always captures that shot of a moment you never want to forget, she’s also a wonderfully kind, funny, and thoughtful person to work with. We first met when she shot engagement and wedding photos for my husband and I, and for years to come we reminisced about how great she was at taking beautiful photos and also wrangling wild, wiggly little kiddos. She even pitched in at our wedding and with a big smile on her face, bustled my enormous wedding dress — her assistant got a great photo of that! We were thrilled with how our photos turned out, as well as our 5 minute cinematic video which felt like the quality of an epic movie trailer of our special day. We were so happy to see her again for another family wedding years later, and most recently she took stunning and personal family photos with our little one. I’m already conjuring up another reason to work with Tara again because in addition to her gorgeous photos, she’s just a great person to be around.

For some unknown reason I have loved weddings since I was a kid. That’s the first thing. But then… I got married. And that is indescribable. So… if you happen to be here because you have met someone special, and you are making moves, CONGRATULATIONS! You really are in for the ride of a lifetime. So… my first photos? Yup. They were from a wedding! Unfortunately they took the human knee as their subject because I was short, because I was five years old. One auspicious day I brought a camera to a friends’ wedding. I partied. I had a fabulous time. Afterwards they told me I should have said something, my photos were better than the hired pro.

We hired Paul for our San Francisco wedding and it was easily one of the best decisions we made. In addition to beautifully (and creatively) capturing the energy and excitement of the day, Paul was also an absolutely pleasure to work with at ever step of the way. Our wedding was in San Francisco this past August and had approximately 65 people in attendance. To say that we had high expectations for our wedding photographer was an understatement: we wanted someone who would be able to capture the dynamic energy and emotion of our big day in a natural, joyful way. I am happy to say that Paul exceeded all of our expectations and then some. We initially reached out to Paul in February through his website and we scheduled an introductory phone call. At that time I was chatting with a few different photographers in the Bay Area but was impressed at Paul's thoughtful questions regarding our vision of big day as well as the logistical considerations (venue locations, lighting , size, etc). From our first meeting at his lovely home, Paul was kind, thoughtful, considerate which made us feel like we were in good hands and helped put us at ease during the craziness of the planning. He asked us to consider which moments would be most important to our wedding and helped us think through the logistics of the day. Paul was also helpful in planning some of the big day itself: we had scheduled a city tour with our guests to occur between the ceremony and reception but were unsure where to go in the city. He recommended locations that would be both enjoyable for our guests and would make good backdrops for photos. In addition to the city tour, the day itself had a lot of moving parts which could have been really challenging to photograph (indoor ceremony in City Hall, outdoor brass band parade in full sunlight, indoor reception with low lighting in small antique store). Paul and his second shooter were well prepared and able to shot gorgeous photos in every location. Paul was also very mindful of which moments would be most meaningful to us. For example, we had mentioned that we specifically wanted lots of dancing photos from the reception and so Paul made sure a remote flash lighting system was set up in the reception venue which made for some fantastic dance floor shots. We had also said that we wanted to make sure we had a lot of candid photos of our friends of family and so Paul made sure to mingle among our guests, putting them at ease and getting natural, candid photos of our loved ones. After the wedding, Paul was able to send us our sneak peaks only after 24 hours (!) and the full gallery a short time after that. At this point, I was already very impressed but what happened after that really blew me away: Paul emailed me a few weeks after the wedding to me to ask if he could photograph some details from the wedding that he wasn't able to get on the big day (handkerchiefs from the brass band parade, wedding invitations, etc). He told me that he felt that those details were important in telling the story of our wedding and he wanted to make sure they were captured. I realize that it would've been easy for Paul to simply send the photos he already had but the fact that he found it was important to capture all the small details really speaks to his thoughtfulness, professionalism and excellence. We can't thank you enough, Paul!

I fell in love with photography while I was living in Nairobi, Kenya for a few months. When I returned to Penn State, I decided to change my major to photojournalism! I started a portrait photography business in college and continued after graduation. Now, a full time wedding photographer living in San Francisco, I couldn't be more thankful for that trip to Kenya! It led me to my passion and has allowed me to live it out!

We had the pleasure of working with Hannah for our City Hall ceremony day. She was a great communicator and kept us in the loop in regards to timing/location. The way Hannah navigated City Hall was truly incredible - we are still blown away how she got so many photos in one hour! People see our photos & think we rented out the space - but nope, Hannah was somehow able to get all of our photos with no bystanders in the background! She felt like an old friend, and any nerves we had for a) getting married or b) doing such a personal shoot with a stranger disappeared immediately. Thank you, Hannah!

i believe in capturing your day as it unfolds. documenting what is happening not dictating it. making sure those little detailed moments don’t go unnoticed. there is so much beauty to be told when you just let things happen as they will. i study what is in front of me, in real time — the people, the emotion, the light when it hits a certain way and then encapsulate it for you. i am deeply rooted in my feelings and want my images to reflect that as well as reflect the emotion of the day. my hope is that you can look back at your images and relive every loving moment.

Jenna is a true artist and amazing at what she does! The photos she shot for our wedding were way beyond your standard affair and belong in a gallery. She is extremely professional and kept a low profile throughout our big day. Jenna captured not only the obvious moments but also the sweetest in between candids we could never have anticipated and didn't see until after we got our photos back, like a grandmother's hug or the groomsmens' teary eyes during our vows. Hire Jenna for all your photo needs- you will NOT be disappointed!

My wife and I were browsing IG during wedding planning when we saw Jim's photos of another wedding at our selected venue. Viewing those pictures, my wife and I just loved the angles and composition of Jim's photos and knew that Jim would be hard to beat. Something I didn't realize before I got married was how much time you spend with your photographer on your wedding day. I think I probably spend more time with them than I did with my actual wife and groomsmen. Having say that, I was glad that Jim and Ryan were my photographers. They were really cool, funny guys to chat with throughout the wedding and you can tell they were passionate about getting the best photos they can get out of my wife and me. I appreciate they were always want to try out new poses, new angles, and new props so that the pictures stand out. Jim was also a great photographer for our families as he knows Chinese and was able to give out great instructions even to my family members who didn't speak the best English. It was pretty funny too when we weren't quite sure what we were doing during the Chinese tea ceremony and Jim was able to step in and give us some instructions. We got our wedding photos a month after our wedding date and we were not disappointed. Jim's selection of curated photos that he touched up were all amazing and were all worthy to be set as wallpapers on our phones. They were simply more interesting to look than most typical wedding photos we've seen elsewhere. And honestly, even the rest of the photos that weren't touch up or part of the curated batch were amazing to look at.

San Francisco, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $15,000

I am a documentary and commercial photographer based in San Francisco, California, living amongst the fog with my little family that includes a wiener dog named Angus. One of my favorite childhood pastimes was flipping through the thick pages of my grandparents’ wedding album. I can still remember the smell of the leather binding, and the way the photographs curled up at the ends.

Diana is just amazing. We had high expectations based on her stunning portfolio, and she somehow still exceeded them by a mile. She captured so many beautiful photos of us, our family, and all our guests, and somehow did so without ever interrupting a special moment or the flow of the day. She also did an amazing job of capturing both “classic” wedding shots (first look, first kiss, etc.) and more artistic shots and candids (which are so beautiful that we would buy them in a gallery even if we didn’t know the people in them). And she is just a lovely person. We could not recommend her more and hope we’ll have the opportunity to be photographed by her again one day
