Welcome. My name is Khariza and I am a San Francisco based wedding, portrait and lifestyle photographer. Think of me as a professional third-wheel, or better yet as your friend with a camera! I am dedicated to capturing authentic photos that feel true to who you are!

When shooting, I’m all about going with the flow and making sure you feel comfortable, since I know that getting in front of the camera can be intimidating. So before the shooting begins, I want to get to know who you are- things like what your favorite song is, what you and your partner do for fun on the weekends, your favorite travel destination, or even what your love language is! In my experience, the more we get to know each other, the more trust there is. That trust decreases those feelings of intimidation and anxiety when it comes to getting your photo taken so I am able to capture photographs of you when you at your most authentic!

    My husband and I contracted Khariza Rae Photography for 8 hours of wedding photography and a complimentary 1 hour engagement photoshoot. Since neither my husband nor I are very comfortable or experienced being in front of the camera we decided to do the engagement photoshoot first, as a trial run of what to do for the wedding. Khariza did a great job walking us through the poses. She kept the energy light and fun. We took photos at several locations during the hour. She also took a few candid shots of my husband and me talking and laughing that I absolutely adore. For our wedding Khariza arrived with multiple cameras at the ready. She took photos of us getting glammed up. She got photos of the venue, the dress, the flowers, the tables, etc. We had also hired a videographer and she worked with that team to coordinate the photos she envisioned and the video footage they needed. We got most of the shots done before the wedding started. With Khariza’s help, prior to the wedding, my husband and I had compiled a list of the group photos we wanted. We ended up taking those on the dance floor as the music started up. I was worried if the lighting would look right, but those concerns were misplaced. Either through physical or digital magic, the end results looked fantastic. Overall, we loved working with Khariza. Our photos are our favorite reminder of the beautiful wedding we had and all the friends and family who gathered to share the day with us.

    We had a fantastic experience with Khariza and I would highly recommend her services. Khariza shot both our engagement and wedding, and we loved how the photos turned out. We didn’t have much of an idea of where we wanted to shoot at first, we just knew we wanted to capture our love for SF, and her connection with/knowledge of the city helped out a ton. She did a great job with capturing the overall feeling we were going for while also guiding us in a way that made shooting photos really fun! I personally can be a bit awkward with photos so I appreciated how she always made me feel at ease and helped me not be so stiff. Khariza was awesome and it was a joy to have her be a part of our wedding day :) Thank you Khariza!!
