“My daughter recently got married in Newport, Rhode Island, on September 14th, 2024. She choose to have her reception in a tent on the lawn of the Eisenhower House. The venue was stunning and the woman at EH recommended Clockwork as we were looking for a local band with horns to play at the reception. We were not able to hear them in person, but all the video's posted online more than helped our decision making process and we quickly booked the band 20 months in advance, It was our second decision in the wedding process after the venue -with many, many more to come, but without a doubt - IT WAS THE BEST DECISION!!!! Booking was easy - we sent a check to reserve the date. the catalog of music they are capable of playing is extensive. But we had a tremendous comfort level with Clockwork New England as the contract states YOU GET THE EXACT MUSICIANS you see on all the website videos. There are no switches, or long lists of band members they slot in on any given day. Everyone we saw and loved are the people that showed up for our event. From start to finish - the band rocked the night away - the dance floor was never empty. They sang the bride and grooms song 'You are the Best Thing" and it was spectacular. And every song after that just got us up off our feet. The horns added so much - we keep hearing from friends asking us who they were, because they LOVED the music. The interactions with the crowd also made the night so memorable - and some of the best videos of the night. “DJ Conner was absolutely amazing and my husband and I couldn't be happier with the dancing music and all the music played throughout the evening. He listened to our music needs, which were not the clearest at times, but nonetheless he came up with a great playlist that fit the diverse age range and what we were envisioning. Just recently a guest from the wedding reached out commenting how Conner was the best wedding DJ they have ever heard. Conner brings a cool, sophisticated vibe that is truly great for all age demographics. Additionally, Conner was super professional, on time, and had state of the art sound equipment. He also did an incredible job micing the night and keeping the pace. “Our experience working with Jamie and Ceremony DJs can be best summed up by the fact that multiple people told us after the ceremony they wanted to book him for their wedding and at least one got his business card! I can't imagine a better DJ, truly. When we first met with Jamie, he said he could make people dance to anything and would keep people on the dance floor all night, and he WAS NOT LYING. The whole night, the dance floor was PACKED even though it was rainy/muddy/cold/wet. Jamie took us on a journey that covered all of the bases of the music we love to hear and dance to, seamlessly and magically (?) integrating genres with the best mixes, it was pure wizardry and really captured who we were. We as a couple care a lot about music and wanted music that represented who we were and what we like to listen to, and he did not disappoint! So much prep work went into this, he took patience and time to try to understand our tastes and vibe, and it was so cool to have the wedding played on vinyl- basically, Jamie just "got it" from start to finish and we had the best time! Our wedding also got delayed due to rain and a road closure and he was such a good sport, staying late to keep us all dancing for a whole other hour- so fun! Also, when our ceremony musician was stuck in traffic due to the storm, he was so prepared and had our prelude/processional music downloaded so we could still walk down the aisle to the songs we'd chosen. Overall, such a cool, kind, funny guy who was professional and prepared in every way and honest just takes time to meet and know his clients, and clearly just loves to share his love of music. I would book him for everything if I could. BOOK THIS DJ. You will NOT regret it!”

“The short version of this review: if you want the music at your wedding to be awesome and exactly what YOU love to hear, and without cheesey emcee vibes, hire Marcus! Marcus did such an amazing job DJing our wedding, we couldn’t be more thrilled. He is extremely thoughtful with his work. He took careful note of my husband and my musical tastes and preferences, as well as the vibe of our wedding, instead of playing a standard tired playlist. Per our request, he blended in some Latin music seamlessly. The dance floor was full and lively all night long, exactly as we had hoped for! He played songs we hadn’t requested but that we love, leaving me wondering how he could have known so well what to play. He also respected our “do not play” list, as I found out multiple guests requested songs on it and he politely declined. Marcus is very thorough and organized which made working with him so easy- he was on top of all the details, order of events/cues, even reviewed proper name pronunciation with us in advance. The event manager at our venue said she loved working with him and was very impressed. Marcus has such a kind and warm personality, and a really special talent- we feel so lucky that he was part of our big day!”

“When my husband and I started our wedding planning journey, we wanted to find a DJ that would be able to play music form both my culture (Haitian) and my husbands (Puerto Rican). During my search, his business popped up on IG. I went through his IG profile and knew he was the one I wanted. I sent his profile to my husband and he sold. What also sold us was all the extra services he had! Everything all in one place. In all I booked the sparklers, smoke machine, 360 Photo Booth, an Emcee, and gobo lights. My first dance, OMG. Guests are sending me videos they took. Being in the experience was one thing. Watching the videos, I couldn’t stop crying at how beautiful it turned out.
