In the 1950s & 60s, The Bronx was home to an amazing photographer that captured weddings and family events. His name? Warren Meurer aka the “Silverfox” (due to his flowing silver and gray locks). Fast forward to the early 1990s, Warren’s grandson, John Salkowsky, decided to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps and open a wedding photography and video studio. When it came time to name this newly formed company, there was only ONE name it could possibly have – Silverfox Studios.

I was born off the coast of Portugal, in the Azores Islands and raised in Cartaxo, close to Lisbon. Portugal was my home until the age of 19. I’ve been in love with art and anything weird since I was a kid and I still try to weave that child-like vulnerability into my art. I feel incredibly grateful I get to do something I love everyday. Photography, for me, is more than just a profession - it's a heartfelt expression of who I am.
