About Abigail Kuzia Photography

Abigail Kuzia

Owner & Lead Photographer

Hey hey! I'm Abby: youngest of four sisters, cat mom, self-certified Malbec connoisseur, lucky wife to a goofy Puerto Rican man named Mike, and most recently the newly-minted mom to our chubby cheeked little one, Nico. I love to meet new people, try delicious new restaurants, dance whenever there is music playing, and I've been known to dabble in karaoke. In 2014 I took a giant leap out of the comfort of my 9-5 to start my business, leaving the world of copywriting and fashion behind to pursue my long-time love of photography. It has truly been one of the best decisions I ever made! I absolutely love what I do!

Weddings are about so much more than just taking beautiful photos. I care. A lot. I care about giving you a fun, memorable, and stress-free experience while working with me. From helping you plan your timeline to bustling your dress if your MOH is MIA. I’m all about documenting your day and your relationships in authentic, candid, and delightfully creative ways that truly tell your story. Things never go exactly as planned on your wedding day. The difference is having an experienced photographer with the confidence and know-how to roll with the changes and find amazing solutions to any problem (no matter what the day throws at you).

    Abby is AMAZING!

We love the pictures Abby captured of us during our engagement shoot! We love her aesthetic, creativity, and knowledge of places to photograph in Boston. I am from New Orleans and communicated with Abby that even though we don't reside there, I wanted to find a way to capture the vibe of my hometown in Boston. It was a hard ask and she found a way to get it done. She took us to an area of Beacon Hill that had a house with a beautiful fleur-de-lis on a blue door. She also found other details in different settings that provided a French Quarter vibe. Her attention to detail throughout the shoot was amazing. Family and friends remarked how they could see the love shining through our photos. She captured our relationship beautifully. We are so glad we worked with her on our engagement session!

    One of the best

Abby is amazing. She’s easy to communicate with, friendly, and professional. Her work is outstanding and always what is expected. I would recommend her to anyone.

Typically, couples book me about 9-12 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.
I offer second shooters that I know and trust for an additional cost. Things to consider when you're considering adding a 2nd are number of guests (anything over 150 should probably have two shooters), how far apart you and your partner's getting ready locations are, etc. Sometimes, I’ll bring along a none-shooting assistant. Don’t worry, this won’t cost you extra.
Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I like to keep you looking as natural as possible in your photos, therefore I don't include much retouching - however I will do minor skin smoothing, whiten teeth, and remove any blemishes that are distracting to make sure you both are looking your best!
No, I focus on photography only so you can get the best wedding pictures possible. I do however work well with a few great videographers that I'm happy to recommend to you.
Turnaround time varies by season, but sneak peeks are available within 2 days of your big day! Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 4-8 weeks after your wedding. Your album will allow you personal printing rights (meaning you can download your photos and print anywhere you like), but also gives you the option to print directly from your album from one of my trusted printers.
You can expect about 50 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
In my six years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues of equal style and skill. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, if you prefer to find the perfect replacement yourself.
I do! I'll happily travel wherever I'm needed for your wedding. Up to 50 miles roundtrip from Newton, MA is included, then it's a $50 fee for travel up to 100 miles roundtrip, and $100 for travel up to 200 miles roundtrip. Anything beyond that is determined on a case by case basis and may require a room for an overnight stay.
