She set up our archway and put down the decorations with the florist. Then she transferred our arch to the sweetheart table! There were so many details that she helped set up from our tablescapes to the audio guest book to the table and guest cards. She did it all! She also was super helpful and communicated with us on the timeline, helped organize our line-up for the ceremony, made sure we had food and drink during dinner, coordinated with our bus driver, and cleaned up everything at the end of the night for us to pick up in the morning. “Working with Marissa and her team at MB Events, was by far the best decision my husband and I could have made during our wedding planning process. Marissa truly goes above and beyond for her clients, and her passion for her work is apparent from start to finish. My husband and I chose a venue where every aspect of our wedding needed to be coordinated with third-party vendors (string quartet, DJ, catering (incl. table, chairs, linens), set up, breakdown, etc). When we realized how much we underestimated the time and coordination needed to plan such an important event, we knew we needed help. Enter: MB Events. From the start, Marissa kept my husband and I organized throughout the entire wedding planning process, ensuring our vision for the day came to fruition, and truly made our wedding day better than we had ever expected. We planned an outdoor wedding, and inevitably it was supposed to pour (thunder, lightning, flood, tornado warnings), and Marissa and her team worked from sunup to sundown to ensure that our day was exactly as we had imagined, rain or shine. Marissa was an advocate for my husband and I when difficult day-of -decisions needed to be made in relation to the rain, which allowed us to just “focus and take in the moment” which we are extremely grateful for. From start to finish, she was so calm, collected, and professional throughout the entire planning process — and when our wedding day arrived and the heavens decided to open up and pour all day long, Jyl did not miss a beat. She had to do a lot of shifting around because our cocktail hour was supposed to be outside, once she was done, you wouldn’t even know the plan had changed!
