Kate and all the Viceroy staff were awesome and available to guide as we hosted a small, socially distance and intimate wedding reception. She was always available and flexible. She is the most awesome ambassador for the Viceroy hotels. The hotel was new and well maintained and we loved the outdoor patio where we held our reception. If you are looking a place to host a small outdoor wedding and or reception definitely consider the Viceroy. They heard our concerns and made sure our safety and the safety of our guests was paramount. The food was amazing, definitely try the chicken sandwich!

We picked Clyde’s because the location was close to my church, where we did the ceremony, and because it was one of the few venues in that radius that fit our budget. I picked Clyde’s for practical reasons and looking back I couldn’t have made a better choice. I always knew I wanted my wedding reception to be fun and relaxed and have plenty of good food and drinks for my guests. Clyde’s so fit the bill. First, the food is simple yet delicious. We already knew that from dining there, and the tasting confirmed it. We were able to make menu choices to please everyone. Second, our room was beautiful and uniquely decorated and that makes a fun atmosphere. It was large enough to fit all our guests and have room to dance (we had about 50 people, but could have fit more in the room.) finally, the service was exceptional - all our guests commented on how great the servers and bartenders were at their jobs. We felt so welcome. The event staff went above and beyond to work with me to decorate and set tables to my specifications. If you are considering Clyde’s, I highly recommend them. DC wedding venues are expensive and Clyde’s was one of the few places we could afford, but even if our budget was higher, I couldn’t imagine a better experience.

We had our wedding at DW on September 1, and it was truly flawless. DW is such a well oiled machine and the night went incredibly smooth. It was such a pleasure to work with Latoria, Chloe, and Tori throughout the planning process. We had about 150 people with a band and it was the perfect fit. The room was STUNNING and the team was super accommodating with last minute changes and a huge wrench thrown our way on the big day. No one even flinched and they adapted beautifully. SO sad it's over and I wish we could do it again!!

Plus, The Mulberry is very budget-friendly compared to other wedding venues we looked at, making it a great value. Hosting our wedding at Mess Hall was one of the best decisions we made! The space is just what we wanted: industrial chic near the MBT with a covered outdoor area and access to amazing food. As a culinary incubator, they have a ton of great vendors on site, and while you don’t have to use one of their partners, that was a huge draw to us because we wanted to support small business and do something different than the standard chicken/fish/vegetable offering you get from most wedding caterers (shoutout to Kam & 46 for incredible Hawaiian/Filipino food!). While there was some staff turnover during the planning process, Al’s consistency and guidance gave us confidence that everything would run smoothly on the day of. The space is very customizable, it’s easy to choose what kind of furniture and lighting you want, plus the digital screen and sound system (both indoors and outdoors), helped us fully transform the space to achieve everything we envisioned. Our only concerns during the planning process was the size of our party – we had over 120 attend – so we didn’t do the traditional assigned seats and tables, but nevertheless there was plenty of seating space indoors and outdoors, it didn’t feel too crowded at all, and there was never a line for the two single-stall bathrooms the entire night. Not only was the space great, but the service was superior. During our wedding reception, Al was incredibly attentive to us and anticipated our needs even before we did. For example, he regularly offered to fetch us drinks from the bar when he saw us finishing our beers and when he saw one of standing with friends, he immediately brought over a standing table so we could rest our food and drinks. Our guests were really impressed when we told them he was the owner of Mess Hall. I’m sure there’s a lot of things he did that we didn’t even see – all of which helped our wedding go smoothly. Overall, we were extremely pleased with Mess Hall and hope you will be too!

If you are looking for a relaxed, charming and absolutely beautiful venue than this is the place! The house was built in the late 1700s and is chock full of beautiful antiques (and a super fun secret staircase!). There are multiple areas on the farm that can be used for a ceremony spot, photo ops and/or lovely hang spots! There are also chickens and goats roaming freely. Additionally Liz and her family were incredibly helpful. Liz went out of her way to help me fix some issues that were beyond my control and on the day of the wedding was at the ready to help with whatever we found we needed. Being able to have the farm the whole weekend was also a major plus. Ballenger Farm will forever have a special place in my heart, it was truly the best place to have such a memorable event and I look forward to going back one day.

Where do I even begin?… The Rixey Manor team was the absolute best. I just got married there this week and it was a dream come true. The venue itself is gorgeous but the team at Rixey Manor is something so special. Isadora and Grace took away all of the stress me and my now husband had. They made me feel so cared for and so important. They went above and beyond to make me, my husband & our families feel like royalty. Everyone kept mentioning to us how impressed they were at how professional and thoughtful Isadora and Grace are. Isadora made sure that I felt important and helped me with absolutely everything that day. She completely took charge of the day and all me and my husband had to do was show up. My 2nd dress strap kept breaking and Isadora was always there fixing it and she always did it graciously. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people on my wedding day. The Rixey team is honestly a bunch of very special people who genuinely love what they do and they show so much love to the bride and groom. I also want to add that they were so attentive, caring and helpful when it came to my parents who both have a disability. I can go on for hours about how much I appreciate and legitimately care about Isadora and Grace. These people make dreams come true and my husband and I, along with our families are so grateful for them.

If you are searching for somewhere to have the perfect outdoor wedding, look no further than Comus Farm. Lauren and Kara truly pulled out all the stops to make our wedding day unforgettable! In 2023, my husband and I were looking for wedding venues: we were very specifically looking for someplace that would not require a lot of decoration work, since we were planning the whole event ourselves. As soon as my husband and I arrived at Comus Farm, I said “this is it, I want to book this place.” The farm is located in pleasant countryside, and the farm itself has a very beautiful entrance through trees and sunny fields: many of our guests commented on how this made the drive from the off-site ceremony to the reception at the farm very enjoyable. We toured the rose garden, outdoor dining and dancing pavilions, and the large barn, all of which are airy and open, making it feel very welcoming. The farmhouse Airbnb was spacious, clean, and well decorated. Lauren and Kara were both so kind, and they provided a lot of information with us in our first meeting: we signed the contract about a week after seeing the place. Lauren and Kara used AislePlanner to help us get going with our wedding planning. The website is easy to use, and the provided checklist covered literally every single tiny detail you could possibly need to consider for the planning journey. I was especially pleased with the seating chart map, it made it so easy for us to track guest meals, stage table set up, and communicate special requests. It also prints out the layout really nicely if you need to send it to your catering company. Our wedding party stayed at the farmhouse Airbnb the night before and after the wedding. Everyone had a really fantastic time, there was more than enough space for the girls to get ready in the AM, and the food provided was delicious! During the reception, my grandparents enjoyed their dinner in the kitchen so they could get some quiet time and rest, but they were still close enough to the wedding so they could say hello to the guests and listen to the speeches happening in the dinner pavilion. I also cannot say enough about how much we appreciated Lauren and Kara’s thoughtfulness throughout the planning process and on the day. They patiently answered so many of our questions, and they allowed us to come by three separate times to see the farm and meet with our vendors. They coordinated the vendors without a hitch, and we didn’t have to worry about a single thing on the day of the wedding. Kara drove the two of us and our photographer out to more remote areas on the farm to get some portrait shots. Lauren coordinated some fun photos with the alpacas, which was a lot of fun! Comus Farm is truly a beautiful spot to have a wedding, complete with a team that made our day perfectly stress-free. I’ll definitely be looking for any other reason to book with them in the future :)

The Club has a long-established history of providing great food and gracious service for any and all occasions. Be it an anniversary, birthday party, wedding reception, rehearsal dinner, or corporate holiday party, the warmth of our elegant country setting will delight you and your guests. The Club's Main Dining Room can accommodate from 25 to 125 guests. Couples can invite their guests to join them on the front lawn of the Country Club for a scenic wedding ceremony. This site overlooks the emerald golf course and sparkling lake. The primary reception space, the Main Dining Room, is a long banquet hall space that seats up to 120 guests for a reception. In this main hall, couples will find large windows upon two of the walls, chandeliers, and a charcoal grey-colored carpet and dance floor.

I photographed a wedding reception for a couple there and they were great to work with! They supplied golf carts for a large wedding party, so that we could go to some scenic spots on the course and take some gorgeous wedding portraits. The dinner and reception were excellent. The staff was attentive and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend The Country Club of Culpeper.

We were thrilled with our wedding venue, Heigh Torr Estate. Their team was responsive, flexible, and timely throughout the planning process, which helped make organizing our big day smooth and stress-free. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous - the grounds are spacious and breathtaking. Our guests raved about having room to mingle and enjoy cocktails while taking in the beautiful scenery. The front lawn is where we held our ceremony and our reception was in the barn both spaces were accommodating for all our guests, and allowed us to bring our wedding vision to life. From start to finish, Heigh Torr was professional, attentive to detail, and truly cared about contributing to our special day. We highly recommend them as a wedding venue!

When we found this venue on Zola, we immediately wanted to view it. They were super quick to respond and were very informative of what to expect. They were upfront of cost and what was included. The scheduling was very streamlined. The day of coordinator, Erin was very helpful and wonderful. The food was absolutely out of this world! The venue has multiple options to choose from ceremony site, reception, and food. The staff were super friendly as well. If you want a whimsical, magical, fairytale wedding, this is the place for you. We highly recommend checking out Stone Manor Boutique Inn. You won't be dissapointed!

I’ve photographed several weddings at Mountain Run Winery and it is definitely one of my favorite venues! The outdoor ceremony site has a gorgeous view and there are ENDLESS options for photo locations around the property. It’s a photographer’s dream! Even on a rainy day, the barn and covered front porch of the farmhouse are great backup options for the ceremony and for photos. The owners are amazing and my clients have all loved their experience with them. I’ve visited the winery on non-wedding days also – the wines are wonderful and they’ve got so many fun events!

I can’t say enough good things about Glen Ellen Farm! The property is BEAUTIFUL and was so perfect in every way. The grounds are meticulously maintained, the house is beautiful, and Debbie is amazing. She answered all of my questions and you can tell she is truly passionate about what she does. The tent, tables, and chairs were included which was a HUGE bonus for us. We ended up putting the sides of the tent down due to wind. Don’t know what we would have done if that wasn’t an option. Our guests loved the venue almost as much as we did. Thank you Debbie and your team for a perfect day!
