We can't say enough about how happy we are in having chosen Ostertag as our wedding venue. The grounds are stunning, with various places around the site for ceremonies, photo ops, celebrations, preparation, and beyond. The staff was fantastic to work with. Donna was so kind and flexible, and Terry, our coordinator, was on top of every detail. She helped us make the day exactly what we wanted, and was accommodating to any request to help us customize our multi-cultural wedding day. We chose to have our dinner/reception in the stable, which created the exact cozy and intimate vibe we were going for. Communication was efficient and thorough. We would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a spot in the DMV area. Thank you for making our day so special!

My Husband and I got married in June 2025 and chose The Christian Royer House, it was the best wedding decision we could have made. Michelle and Jerry are an incredible team. When we toured the venue, I immediately fell in love. The tour was thorough and Michelle was able to answer all of my questions. The booking process was so easy. While planning Michelle was on top of everything, continuously in touch with me sending me the forms, insurance, timelines, and a wedding planning organizer that mad planning a breeze. When it came for wedding day I was so relaxed and confident because everything was planned and taken care of. We got married on one of the hottest days of the summer and Michelle, Jerry and their team took care of us so well! Truly superstars. Not a single thing went wrong during wedding day, if it did, I didn’t know about it and I’m sure Michelle and my coordinator took care of it. The house is so beautiful and the perfect amount of space to get ready. We had a bridal party of 18, with several children, and many family members, there was space for everyone. The honeymoon cabin was the best thing we didn’t know we needed. Being able to stay at the venue in a peaceful cabin and wake up at our venue, enjoy some coffee on the porch before we left for our honeymoon was heaven. I truly cannot rave enough about how perfect this venue is. I will always be thankful for Michelle, Jerry and their beautiful venue. Please book them!

My daughter and her husband chose Milton Ridge for their wedding venue. I live on the opposite coast so I had no opportunity to have a look myself. She and her husband were very happy with the layout of the property and the location. She assured me that staff were warm and friendly as well as very professional and that all questions were addressed promptly and in great detail. My daughter and her husband felt listened to and respected by everyone at Milton Ridge. I was anxious but it was their wedding and they had done a lot of research! I am overjoyed that they chose Milton Ridge for their very special day!! I spoke to many guests and family members that day and evening; everyone had high praise for the couple’s choice of venue. The property is self-contained with a beautiful turn of the century chapel on the lower level of the property and a very large bricked patio on the upper level; with an enormous wooden gazebo at one end and tiered garden area at the opposite end. Indoor or outdoor wedding?? Hard to choose as both areas are sooooo lovely. The Bridal suite and Grooms quarter are in a building adjacent to the chapel on the lower level of the property. Another turn of the century building with Bridal suite, porch and porch swing on the ground level and the Grooms quarters on the 2nd level via a private enclosed stairway; providing total privacy for both parties and their respective entourages. Both areas were very well appointed, comfortable and large; plenty of room for multiple people in each area to get ready for the big day! The Reception Hall was on the upper level with a porch and short stairway leading from the hall to the outdoor patio. The Hall was fresh and bright with plenty of room for DJ, tables, dance floor, bar and buffet without feeling overfilled or crowded. Bride and Groom chose the bar-b-que menu for their dinner; it was beautifully presented, delicious and plentiful. No one left Milton Ridge hungry that evening! The wait staff and bartenders were all very attentive and had obviously been very well trained at table service and bar service respectively. Music was provided by a DJ who was contracted by Milton Ridge and was included with the package that my daughter and her husband had chosen. The selection was a mix of old and new with the focus of getting the guests up and dancing. He was very good at his job and he accomplished his goal! Last but definitely not least; the photographer; also contracted with Milton Ridge! He was amazing!!! The unique shots, quality and beauty of his work left us speechless. He was everywhere, but never in the way, always inconspicuous and watching for that perfect candid shot. Even his posed photos had a very relaxed casual look about them. All photos were organized and available to the newlyweds on the Milton Ridge website within 10days of their wedding day!! ALL pictures belong to her and her husband to print, copy and share with whoever they wish!! Milton Ridge exceeded my expectation and I would never hesitate to recommend them to anyone!!

The venue is absolutely beautiful and the folks there are top notch. We worked with Juli throughout our process and she was there for every step and had all of our answers. Our guests have not stopped talking about how great the wedding and venue were. The food was amazing, from appetizers to dinner. If you are looking for great options for a do it all at one spot, this is it. We had planned for the wedding to be outside and Mother Nature had other ideas, so we had it under the covered patio. Even with some clouds and showers the backdrop for us getting married was beautiful. Everyone from the servers to management stayed on top of every detail. They gave us until they day of to make a call on where to hold the ceremony based on the weather. That was a luxury that we loved. You can't go wrong with this venue.

We got married in early November at The Visitation Hotel, which served as the perfect place for a wedding reception and wedding weekend "base camp" for 147 guests. The central downtown Frederick location was unbeatable – highly walkable to the ceremony church, restaurants, bars, and shop. Having accommodations, catering, and the bar service all in one place was incredibly convenient. The staff was exceptional. Everyone was attentive, proactive, and genuinely kind. Mazie, our venue lead, organized a wonderful menu tasting, checked in throughout the big day, and during cocktail hour the service team made sure we got to taste everything as the guests of honor – such a thoughtful touch! The team was also wonderfully collaborative with our vendors, making planning seamless. The food and service were outstanding, and our guests are still raving about the celebration. We wholeheartedly recommend The Visitation Hotel to anyone getting married in Frederick.

Walker's Overlook is a hidden gem and was the perfect venue for our October wedding! The ceremony area is absolutely gorgeous and provides an incredible backdrop for photos, while the reception tent offers a cozy, rustic vibe complete with wood floors and string lights. The owners, Mark and David, are the best. They are both super hands-on and were great to communicate with throughout the whole process. Mark checked in on us regularly during the year leading up to our wedding and made sure we knew exactly what to expect on the wedding day. One of the best things about Walker's is that they provide an in-house wedding coordinator, so we didn't need to hire a separate planner. Our coordinator, Tammy, was INCREDIBLE -- she knows the industry inside and out and made our wedding day completely seamless and stress-free.
