Wonderful Full Service Wedding Reception Venue
We got married in early November at The Visitation Hotel, which served as the perfect place for a wedding reception and wedding weekend "base camp" for 147 guests. The central downtown Frederick location was unbeatable – highly walkable to the ceremony church, restaurants, bars, and shop. Having accommodations, catering, and the bar service all in one place was incredibly convenient. The staff was exceptional. Everyone was attentive, proactive, and genuinely kind. Mazie, our venue lead, organized a wonderful menu tasting, checked in throughout the big day, and during cocktail hour the service team made sure we got to taste everything as the guests of honor – such a thoughtful touch! The team was also wonderfully collaborative with our vendors, making planning seamless. The food and service were outstanding, and our guests are still raving about the celebration. We wholeheartedly recommend The Visitation Hotel to anyone getting married in Frederick.
Our October 2025 Wedding
We recently celebrated our wedding at the Visitation and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The venue is absolutely stunning — every detail, from the outdoor tent, the surrounding town and most importantly the reception space, created the perfect backdrop for our day. Our guests were so impressed by the atmosphere and the seamless flow of the event. The staff was professional, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure everything went smoothly. Communication leading up to the wedding was clear and timely, and the coordination on the day of was flawless. We felt well taken care of and truly able to enjoy every moment without stress. The food and service exceeded expectations, and the overall organization reflected a high level of experience and care. While every wedding has small details that pop up along the way, the team handled everything quickly and with professionalism. We’re so grateful to have chosen the Visitation and would highly recommend it to any couple looking for a beautiful setting and a reliable, dedicated staff to bring their vision to life. Top Tier Wedding Venue and Hotel
Booking the Visitation Hotel for our wedding was a smooth and easy experience. Every step of the way the communication was speedy and clear (no surprises!!!). We feel so lucky to have had our wedding at the Visitation hotel! It checked all the boxes of what we were looking for - amazing location in beautiful downtown Frederick, MD., beautiful hotel that blends modern upscale style while still paying homage to a building that dates back to the 1800s!!! Our guests praised us on the beauty of the outdoor tent, the ballroom, the hotel rooms, the absolute 5 star quality of the food, and the convenience of everything being in one location for a wedding. Mazie our sales and catering director really went above and beyond making us feel special throughout the process. From our private tasting experience to literally walking around with a platter holding our signature drinks while we took pictures with our family after the ceremony. It was truly the best day and we couldn't be happier about our selection of the Visitation hotel for our wedding!
