Downtown Sound is a customizable 5, 7, or 9-piece ensemble. Sister to the wildly popular Central City Orchestra, DTS is a “super group” featuring seasoned, multi-instrumental musicians specializing in alternative arrangements, custom mash-ups and keeping the energy up all night long!

    5 Years Later, Still The Best

    It’s been 5 years since my wedding and my husband and I (and our friends!) still talk about this band. It was the highlight of our reception and we haven’t yet been to another wedding whose music compares to ours. They brought so much energy and joy and set such a great mood for the night. This was without a doubt the best vendor money we spent on our wedding.

    Best wedding band in PA

    Downtown Sound is the best wedding band! Solid musicians with incredible energy all night. We requested mostly older stuff, 1960s-2000s, with lots of rock, funk, R&B, and soul. They tailored their set lists to our preferences perfectly. It could not have been a better vibe! We opted for the 7-piece band: guitar, drums, keys, bass, 2 vocalists, saxophone. Highly recommend getting at least 1 brass player. Mary Kate (vocalist) was so helpful during planning and was so great to work with. She took some of the stress off us and made sure the night went super smoothly. Everyone is still raving about the band 6 months later! They were such a huge part of the night, and it was perfect. They also let me jump in with them for a couple songs (I play guitar) which was a treat. Truly top-tier professional musicians. Cannot recommend this band enough!

    Awesome Band!

    These guys know how to rock! From oldies to today's hits, Downtown sound performs and makes the dance floor the place to be all night long! Book this band for your next event!

Our dance band functions fully as a 9-piece. (2) Female Lead Vocalists, (1) Male Guitarist & Vocalist, (1) Male Bass Player & Vocalist, Keys, Drums, Trumpet, Trombone & Sax. DTS can also be condensed to a 5-piece or 7-piece, customized to meet your entertainment vision. Ceremony & Cocktail Hour: we can provide various ensembles or solo players (e.g. Jazz trio or solo pianist/guitarist) *inquire for more details.
Yes, we provide state-of-the-art sound systems to accommodate a variety of venues. The sound system is tested prior to the start of your event. Professional sound staff will monitor the sound throughout the event to make sure it is perfect at all times.
Yes, we will take care of all announcements and introductions throughout your event. We will also coordinate with your vendors so you can relax and enjoy your event.
We can play a maximum of four hours of music for reception, not including cocktail hour or ceremony. *We can provide additional half-hours of music should you need more time.
We require at least four (4) electrical outlets with four (4) standard 20-amp circuits on each outlet which must be provided within 25 feet of the reception or dancing location.
