I’m a zealous photographer who gets way too excited about sunsets and gorgeous venues & landscapes. The only thing that could ever make them better is YOU! It’s such a blast having the privilege of documenting weddings & elopements in beautiful places with beautiful people—especially when there’s golden light. I find great joy in providing vivid, exquisite, and timeless photos and videos that you can cherish for a lifetime!
My colorful, vibrant, and vivid editing style and is a unique find. I take extra care in the editing process of your images to make sure the beauty of your day is optimized. It's also a huge priority of mine to edit in an exquisite and timeless manor, so you will love your photos just as much even 60 years from now. My husband, Ben, and I are a husband and wife photography and videography team! The BEST Photographer EAST OF THE MISSISSIPPI!
My wife and I were looking for a photographer that incorporates a lot of color and personality into their photos and we found that with Emily. We live in Massachusetts so when we were certain we wanted to book Emily she was kind enough to do a zoom call with us which I had to do while at work and it didn’t even phase her one bit! My wife and I connected with her from the start and knew she would be the perfect fit to photograph AND video our wedding. Because we were out of state most of our planning was done remotely, but Emily offers a free couples engagement shoot which she was able to accommodate our demanding schedules and do our engagement shoot on the one single day of the year we were going to be free and nearby in VA. We LOVED our engagement shoot photos and it only made us even more excited for wedding day. On wedding day Emily and her Husband, as well as another photographer on her team arrived right on time and began doing their thing. She got such wonderful photos that only a true professional could get. I’m a rather difficult person to please, but she met my demands. It rained on our wedding day, but it didn’t phase her one bit (she said the lighting is sometimes better when it rains) and she got incredible shots. Her husband was always right there at the right time getting video, her team has great microphones that caught our vows, and all the photos really highlighted the colorful flowers and atmosphere of our wedding which was exactly what I wanted. I HIGHLY recommend hiring Emily Heskett and her team for your wedding and am certain there is no better photographer this side of the Mississippi! Emily captured incredible photos of a February wedding at our venue! We were so worried about some red mud areas from excavation work ruining some of their wedding photos & Emily insured that there was no red mud in any photos! That was extra work for her to do & she happily did that for her wedding couple & myself!! She goes above & beyond with her work. I love that she asked me, the owner of a new event space, what she could capture for me for advertising! That was so sweet of her. I gave her specifics & she delivered just that! It’s important to hire a professional photographer that listens to your vision. I can tell her heart is deeply invested in her photography. It isn’t just a job to her. Anyone that works with Emily will notice that! It’s refreshing to meet a hard worker with so much passion! Emily will not let you down!
