From our very first meeting, Matt took the time to get to know us as a couple. He wanted to understand our personalities and the kind of photos we actually wanted instead of giving us the same staged, cookie-cutter wedding pictures you see everywhere. We knew right away that he was the perfect fit.
At our engagement session, we had a fun idea since we were getting married on 7/11—we asked if we could take photos inside a 7-Eleven, and without hesitation, Matt was all in. That perfectly sums him up. He’s creative, flexible, and always willing to embrace your vision, no matter how unique it is. To make things even better, our engagement shoot ended up taking place in the rain. Instead of calling it off or letting the weather get in the way, Matt embraced it and created some incredible photos that we absolutely love. He truly knows how to make the best of any situation.
On our wedding day, everything ran so smoothly. We hired two photographers since the bridal party and groomsmen were getting ready in different locations, and thank you Matthew for bringing along Kevin. He was an amazing addition to the team. The groomsmen absolutely loved him. He brought such a relaxed, fun energy that made a room full of guys—who definitely weren’t excited about taking pictures—actually enjoy the experience. He encouraged their goofy ideas while still making sure they got great shots, and it made a huge difference.
Another thing that really stood out was how great Matt is with kids. If you have children in your wedding party, you’ll appreciate his patience and ability to keep them engaged. As a teacher himself, he’s organized, professional, and incredibly calm under pressure.
One thing we specifically told Matt was that we didn’t want to spend our entire cocktail hour taking photos. He completely respected that. He kept everything organized and efficient, and because of that, we actually got to enjoy our cocktail hour with our guests—a memory we’ll always be grateful for.
The finished photos are absolutely stunning. His editing style is timeless and natural, and every image feels authentic to us.
